Biden's 'Made in America' electric
vehicle push to benefit China

Original Article

President Biden’s push to fill the nation’s roads with electric vehicles would be a boon for China and would increase America’s dependence on the communist power, which dominates the globe in advanced battery production and the mining of rare minerals needed to make those batteries. The White House is working with congressional Democrats to ensure its infrastructure package includes at least $174 billion for “made in America” electric vehicles. At least $40 billion would be used to install 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the country.(Snip) China produced 72% of the world’s lithium-ion rechargeable batteries in 2019, and the U.S. accounted for 9%.

Comments:

Advancing communism is what makes America great. That, and borrowing money we can't possibly repay in order to benefit industrialists.

Joey's already getting Hunter's 10% cut. Apparently, it's not enough. Now he wants to make USA vehicle owners of those god-awful electric cars that go nowhere in rural communities, not to mention the wide-open west subservient to China.

Under Carter we had lines at the gas pump. These Democrats want to create lines at the charging station. Do you have any idea how long it takes to recharge an electric car at a charging station? It isn't a quick in-and-out like a gas pump. Also there isn't enough electric generation capacity (for those of you in Rio Linda, that means coal plants, nuclear plants, dams with hydro generation, oil fired plants and gas fired plants. I don't include solar and windmills because sometimes the sun doesn't shine, the wind doesn't blow (within the allowable specs of your windmill), etc.

They are unhappy that you can jump in your vehicle and drive 500 miles, stop for five minutes to refuel and drive 500 miles more. THAT is real freedom, and they DESPISE freedom, in all forms. You must be forced to have a miserable electric thing with a 100 or 200 mile range, with hours to 'refuel'. It makes them feel more powerful to take away your freedom.

A “major gang war” between ruthless Bronx crews that are fearless of cops has left a 13-year-old boy and two other teens dead in just the past five days, law-enforcement sources told The Post on Monday. “We can’t keep them in [jail], and they’re going after each other," a high-ranking police source said, referring to juvenile suspects who end up back on the streets after being sent to family court instead of being prosecuted as adults. A city prosecutor added, “They don’t go to jail, so they do robberies, get in fights and carry guns. The first teen to die in the bloody gang-fueled

The Birchwood Cafe in south Minneapolis threw a Juneteenth block party this year to mark the holiday that recognizes the date enslaved people in Texas learned they were free. Then, just days later, the well-known restaurant shut down, with most of its staff laid off and a fight spilling onto social media about racism, safety and the stresses staff faced during the pandemic and a year of racial reckoning. Tracy Singleton, the owner, said her decision to shutter Birchwood comes as she considers reorganization options.
