A conservative commentator raised more than $104,000 to help repair the Puerto Rico home of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s grandmother, but the Democratic congresswoman and 'Squad' leader is refusing to accept it. She had posted images on social media earlier this week showing the severely damaged house - with a falling-in ceiling - which she blamed on former President Trump, who she said had blocked aid to the hurricane-ravaged island and US territory. Commentator Matt Walsh said it was rich that someone who made $174,000 a year as a congresswoman - and drove a Tesla - would be begging on Twitter for help; he organized the GoFundMe campaign that had raised $104,000.

How about contacting her grandmother directly and see if she will accept it? Since horse face decided to put it out there in the first place, and make it a political issue, let's see if granny wants the assistance at all. Don't be surprised when it turns out that granny is a fraud, and the pictures are of some random squalor in PR (which wasn't hard to find even before the hurricane). For the record, Trump sent boatloads of aid to PR immediately, and it was the democrap politicians that run that garbage heap that let it literally rot away on the docks. Trump did not block aid to PR in any way, and anyone paying attention knows this to be an outright lie.

President Trump blocked so much aide to Puerto Rico that they still had warehouses of it hidden from citizens several years later. Besides, why would AOC have any say over whether or not her grandmother gets any help. Obviously AOC is the one torturing her grandmother.

It’s getting difficult to rank the Communists in “loathe order.” For a long time, Felonia was number one, then The Klever Kenyan. But with Dr Jill’s husband, Giggles A Lot, the the Insufferable Barmaid in the mix, it’s difficult to choose. And I’m with above posters: either granny is a fake, or contact her directly.

I used to go to PR in the 70s for business, and I had a grad school professor who was married to a PR woman, lived in Mayaguez where he taught at the UPR-Mayaguez. I visited him and his family several times, met some of his grad students. I met a lot of nice, smart hard working folks in PR....but you noticed when you visited their homes that every window and door was covered with a 'decorative' steel gridwork, heavily bolted to the structure, to keep out the ubiquitous burglars. And while in nice neighborhoods, homes were well kept and nice, there were a LOT of neighborhoods where the houses were run down and poorly maintained. And in the countryside, run down houses with chickens and pigs and six kids running in the yard were the norm. I came away with the view that we should have cut PR loose long ago, and we should NEVER seriously consider making it a state. Let them be independent, just like we did with the Philippines. Way too many hands out in PR, looking to Uncle Sugar to provide.

Last summer, Turkish authorities transformed Hagia Sophia (“Holy Wisdom”)—which was originally built, and for a millennium functioned, as one of Christendom’s greatest cathedrals—into a mosque. On that Friday, July 24, 2020 (which for millions of Eastern Christians is now deemed a “day of mourning”), Muslims met inside the desecrated church, where they were led in prayer by a sword-waving imam, to spasmodic cries of “Allahu Akbar.” The Turks, beginning with their president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, have been presenting this bit of cultural appropriation as their “right.”

1. Why are we getting this from a Time Magazine investigative piece instead of Twitter? Facebook usually reveals disinformation operations, Twitter either doesn't care or sympathizes with Jihadi state trolls pushing #HitlerWasRight. 2. #HitlerWasRight is not a disinformation issue. This isn't just Iran making the usual arguments about nuclear weapons or accusing Israel of human rights violations. This is a call to genocide by a regime developing nuclear weapons which it has repeatedly indicated will be used to destroy Israel.

The Minnesota Democrat then claimed America and Israel have committed "unthinkable atrocities" like those committed by the terrorist groups. "We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban," wrote Omar.

Twitter declared access to its platform a 'human right' on Saturday, prompting conservatives to accuse the firm of hypocrisy after it banned former President Donald Trump and others for violating its terms of service. The social media giant's statement came as a response to Nigeria's decision to ban Twitter over the deletion of a tweet from Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari that was seen as threatening separatist movements. 'We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society,' the company said in a statement.

In a Monday social media post, Clinton likened the left’s radical attempt to overhaul U.S. election — stripping states of basic election safeguards such as voter ID — to “preserving America’s democracy.” “Preserving America’s democracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue. But the fact is that Republican-led legislatures have enacted at least 22 news laws this year restricting access to voting,” she claimed alongside a map from the Brennan Center for Justice.
