Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., on Monday appeared to place America in the same category as the Taliban and Hamas, saying the U.S., Israel and the terrorist groups have all committed "unthinkable atrocities." Omar, a member of the progressive "Squad," posted a tweet that said that the U.S. needs to "have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity." The Minnesota Democrat then claimed America and Israel have committed "unthinkable atrocities" like those committed by the terrorist groups. "We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban," wrote Omar.

A Marion County judge says the state must continue its participation in the CARES Act unemployment benefits.
In May, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb announced the state would stop providing federal COVID-19 unemployment benefits, citing the number of businesses looking for new employees.
A judge ruled, in response to a lawsuit was filed by Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis on June 14, the benefits must continue until the court makes a final decision.

Derek Chauvin, the former police officer who killed George Floyd during his arrest in Minneapolis last year, was sentenced to 22 years in prison on Friday.

I believe that most AT readers are familiar with the term, but for those who need a brief refresher, a useful idiot, as defined by Wikipedia, "is a derogatory term for a person perceived as propagandizing for a cause without fully comprehending the cause's goals, and who is cynically used by the cause's leaders."
