Parler Just Flipped Big Tech's Jan. 6 Conspiracy

In the days after the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, Big Tech moved against a conservative alternative social media platform, Parler, based on the premise that the rioters has used Parler to plan the attack on the Capitol and that Parler had failed in its responsibility to prevent such coordination. Based on this narrative, Apple and Google removed Parler from their app stores and Amazon removed Parler’s internet hosting. Yet on Thursday, Parler flipped the narrative on its head. On Thursday, Parler sent a response to the House Committee on Oversight and Reform’s request for documents regarding the riot,

Interestingly enough Twitter signed a major web hosting contract with Amazon Web Service in early/mid December 2020. About 5 weeks later Amazon kicked Parler (a small but growing competitor of Twitter) off AWS. Parler is now in court claiming anticompetitive behavior.

Do combatants post actual real life tactical plans on the wide open internet? Not exactly Enigma is it? Threatening to vote out the ins to preserve the 2nd Amendment is fine. Threatening to use the 2nd Amendment to shoot people is not fine. Let us learn to control our tongues. We are not progressives

Biden Called Lifting Restrictions/Mask Mandates in
Texas 'Neanderthal Thinking,' They Showed How

So many on the left were predicting disaster for Texas after Republican Governor Greg Abbott lifted any remaining Wuhan coronavirus restrictions from the government and eliminated the mask mandate. Texas announced on March 2 that it would take effect March 10. Immediately, Joe Biden slammed Abbott’s decision as “Neanderthal thinking.” From Fox News: “We’ve been able to move that all the way up to the end of May to have enough [vaccines] for every American, to get every adult American to get a shot,” Biden told reporters from the White House earlier this month. “The last thing we need is the Neanderthal thinking.”
Biden’s radical agenda likely to hit wall 10 replies

Joe Biden, or whoever is pulling the strings, has an ambitious agenda. Too ambitious in a well-functioning democracy for a president who squeaked into the White House and whose party holds only half of the Senate seats. There is no mandate for the kind of sweeping change Biden and his handlers desire. One can debate whether ours is a well functioning democracy, but I hope it still functions well enough to prevent the kind of radical change the Democrats are pushing for. I believe it probably will, for the next two years at least. On the face of things, the filibuster is the obstacle to the Democrats’ radical agenda.

While Congress was grilling some Big Tech CEOs this week, Democratic leaders were busy in the background, working on proposals to change how Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act is written. Sadly, there are plenty of people on both sides of the ideological divide who have become so angered by the actions of Twitter and Facebook, along with the other social media heavyweights, that support for this sort of action seems to be growing. But what House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) and his cronies are planning to do won’t stop some of the worst abuses

Myanmar's military fatally shot dozens of protesters Saturday and a rubber bullet injured a baby amid anti-coup demonstrations, observers said. The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners said dozens of protesters were shot dead in the bloodiest day since the February coup with the latest deaths bringing the total number to about 400, according to the BBC. The regime's armed forces killed 91 civilians in 40 towns across the country Saturday, Myanmar Now reported. A 1-year-old baby was injured after being shot in the eye with a rubber bullet

New York Attorney General Letitia James’s office has sent subpoenas to dozens of officials in Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration in connection with an investigation into sexual-harassment claims against the governor, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday. Melissa DeRosa, the governor’s top aide, is among the officials who received a subpoena, the paper said. Paul Fishman, a lawyer for the Cuomo administration, said in response to the paper that “no one should be surprised that the AG’s office is issuing requests for documents and interviewing witnesses,

There’s no doubt that if you spend much time on the internet, you’re going to be buried in an avalanche of false claims, exaggerations, conspiracy theories with no basis in fact, and outright, bald-faced lies from politicians of the right, left, and center. The “Information Age” has become a nightmare from which we are unable to awaken. As it turns out, there is, indeed, such a thing as too much information. We are all forced to selectively filter what information we process, resulting in our natural biases playing a large role in what information we actually absorb. Take the border crisis. Whom do you believe? Whose opinion do you trust?

This has not exactly been a secret, if you have been paying attention for the last 8 months. But Joe Biden’s performance in the press conference on Thursday — which took place ONLY because Democrat party-supporting media organizations had begun to question why he had not yet appeared in a press conference setting since the inaugural — confirmed the unspoken truth: that Joe Biden is only a prop, not the leader of the free world. My RedState colleague Nick Arama did this story yesterday on photographs which captured the “cheat sheets” Biden had to use at the podium to assist him in picking the reporters he should call on

President Joe Biden railed against Georgia’s new voter integrity law on Friday, slamming the law as “un-American,” “a blatant attack on the Constitution and good conscience,” and “Jim Crow in the 21st Century.” Biden repeated false claims about Georgia’s elections system and mischaracterized key parts of the bill. Biden celebrated the record number of voters in the 2020 election and claimed that “recount after recount and court case after court case upheld the integrity and outcome of a clearly free, fair, and secure democratic process.” He did not mention the last-minute election rules changes due to COVID-19 or the Time expose about a “conspiracy” to “save” the election for Biden.

Major corporations quickly came out with announcements of pausing donations to Republican lawmakers who voted against certifying Joe Biden’s election victory in January. Specifically, the closing of the corporate coffers was a reaction to the Capitol Hill riot on January 6. Now there is a House race in Iowa which Democrats are trying to steal from the Republican who has been certified by state officials as the winner. Senate Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, now demand that turnabout is fair play. If the corporations making a statement against overturning the results of an election are sincere, it should not be a problem

Jazz wrote about this mystery on Tuesday and now print media is sniffing around it. On March 2, Greg Abbott announced that he would lift the state’s mask mandate and reopen most businesses at 100 percent capacity on March 10. That seemed rash at the time given the spread of more contagious variants across the U.S. plus the fact that Texas’s daily cases on March 2 (6,660) weren’t dramatically lower than they were on July 2 of last year (7,381), the day Abbott implemented the new mandate. Public health experts like Fauci and Rochelle Walensky warned him that he was risking a new spike.

Professors are set to reform their music courses to move away from the classic repertoire, which includes the likes of Beethoven and Mozart, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement. University staff have argued that the current curriculum focuses on 'white European music from the slave period', according to The Telegraph.(Snip) It claimed that teaching musical notation had 'not shaken off its connection to its colonial past' and would be 'a slap in the face' to some students.
