Scientists Wonder: Why Are Texas’s Cases

Jazz wrote about this mystery on Tuesday and now print media is sniffing around it. On March 2, Greg Abbott announced that he would lift the state’s mask mandate and reopen most businesses at 100 percent capacity on March 10. That seemed rash at the time given the spread of more contagious variants across the U.S. plus the fact that Texas’s daily cases on March 2 (6,660) weren’t dramatically lower than they were on July 2 of last year (7,381), the day Abbott implemented the new mandate. Public health experts like Fauci and Rochelle Walensky warned him that he was risking a new spike.

Live free or die from fear. California is the land of walking dead. Little tiny kids playing in the park all masked up by their 20 year old mom whose wearing two masks. I know of one man who didn’t leave his house from March last year when it started until a week ago after he had his second rabies shot. Even now he wears a mask all day. At home in public and driving his car. For a minute I thought we were in an episode of Scare Tactics.

It's the same scenario in other mask-free states like South Dakota and Florida and in the rural areas of most other states. Wuhan has been defeated by herd immunity with or without the vaccine. American blue areas crippled their businesses and populations for nothing. I would wager that democrats are feeling silly about now if they had that capability.

Perhaps masks help spread disease and lockdowns depress people making them more prone to infections. It is not common sense that masks reduce the spread of disease. Surgeons have their mask placed on them by someone else and never touch their mask. How does this compart to the way the general public handles masks? Ever see a list of standard features for a mask? No, there is none. Any old rag will work you just need a means to hold it on your face. Notice how the old 6 feet social distance is now 3 feet. Have you ever seen a scientific justification for either distance?

Define "cases". The word has been totally distorted from the meaning it had prior to Covid. Notice none of the stories are reporting any surges in hospital admissions or deaths. In SWMO the hospitals have closed their "Covid wards" due to lack of business. There are many reasons for the way this whole scam has played out but people are very selective on what they choose to report and what they choose to ignore. We all know the reason.

#18, I have gone to restaurants two to three times a week for the entire last year, less a six week period when the idiots in our county commission shut down restaurants (illegally). I NEVER stayed out of restaurants and have always treated the mask as a passport to the table, taking it off and leaving it off for the entire visit. Refill cup? No mask. Get some BBQ sauce, no mask. Visit the restroom, no mask. Scroom.

Biden Called Lifting Restrictions/Mask Mandates in
Texas 'Neanderthal Thinking,' They Showed How

So many on the left were predicting disaster for Texas after Republican Governor Greg Abbott lifted any remaining Wuhan coronavirus restrictions from the government and eliminated the mask mandate. Texas announced on March 2 that it would take effect March 10. Immediately, Joe Biden slammed Abbott’s decision as “Neanderthal thinking.” From Fox News: “We’ve been able to move that all the way up to the end of May to have enough [vaccines] for every American, to get every adult American to get a shot,” Biden told reporters from the White House earlier this month. “The last thing we need is the Neanderthal thinking.”
Biden’s radical agenda likely to hit wall 1 reply

Joe Biden, or whoever is pulling the strings, has an ambitious agenda. Too ambitious in a well-functioning democracy for a president who squeaked into the White House and whose party holds only half of the Senate seats. There is no mandate for the kind of sweeping change Biden and his handlers desire. One can debate whether ours is a well functioning democracy, but I hope it still functions well enough to prevent the kind of radical change the Democrats are pushing for. I believe it probably will, for the next two years at least. On the face of things, the filibuster is the obstacle to the Democrats’ radical agenda.

While Congress was grilling some Big Tech CEOs this week, Democratic leaders were busy in the background, working on proposals to change how Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act is written. Sadly, there are plenty of people on both sides of the ideological divide who have become so angered by the actions of Twitter and Facebook, along with the other social media heavyweights, that support for this sort of action seems to be growing. But what House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) and his cronies are planning to do won’t stop some of the worst abuses

There’s no doubt that if you spend much time on the internet, you’re going to be buried in an avalanche of false claims, exaggerations, conspiracy theories with no basis in fact, and outright, bald-faced lies from politicians of the right, left, and center. The “Information Age” has become a nightmare from which we are unable to awaken. As it turns out, there is, indeed, such a thing as too much information. We are all forced to selectively filter what information we process, resulting in our natural biases playing a large role in what information we actually absorb. Take the border crisis. Whom do you believe? Whose opinion do you trust?

This has not exactly been a secret, if you have been paying attention for the last 8 months. But Joe Biden’s performance in the press conference on Thursday — which took place ONLY because Democrat party-supporting media organizations had begun to question why he had not yet appeared in a press conference setting since the inaugural — confirmed the unspoken truth: that Joe Biden is only a prop, not the leader of the free world. My RedState colleague Nick Arama did this story yesterday on photographs which captured the “cheat sheets” Biden had to use at the podium to assist him in picking the reporters he should call on

Biden celebrated the record number of voters in the 2020 election and claimed that “recount after recount and court case after court case upheld the integrity and outcome of a clearly free, fair, and secure democratic process.” He did not mention the last-minute election rules changes due to COVID-19 or the Time expose about a “conspiracy” to “save” the election for Biden.

Major corporations quickly came out with announcements of pausing donations to Republican lawmakers who voted against certifying Joe Biden’s election victory in January. Specifically, the closing of the corporate coffers was a reaction to the Capitol Hill riot on January 6. Now there is a House race in Iowa which Democrats are trying to steal from the Republican who has been certified by state officials as the winner. Senate Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, now demand that turnabout is fair play.
