For those of you out there that were educated in our public school system or universities and have no idea what is written in the US Constitution please take a moment to learn a few things that are directly linked to this case. Read on! Amendment II A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Amendment IV The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

OK, while I don't normally think we need a lot of new laws, I officially support a new law saying anyone running for public office must be able to pass a test of knowledge about the US Constitution!!!! Since the police take an oath to uphold the Constitution, it will be interesting to see how many officers will comply. I'm sure the wives and relatives of police officers will have a few words concerning the danger involved when trying to do this.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The mayor of Oakland, California, on Tuesday announced a privately funded program that will give low-income families of color $500 per month with no rules on how they can spend it.
