Currently, multiple reports are that the weapon used was "an AR-15 style" weapon. But, beware. All sorts of long guns which are not even remotely related to the AR-15 design have been initially reported this way, and some have turned out to be SKS rifles which are wood stocked semi-autos which look nothing remotely like an AR-15. And some have been other designs which are not AR-15s. We may eventually get accurate information.

If that information is correct, #9, the "AR-556" is Ruger version of the AR-15 design.

#7, if he used soft point hunting ammunition in the rifle, the odds of surviving a single torso hit are low without immediate trauma care. Two or three hits will be unsurvivable with essentially any rifle ammunition with hunting bullets. Even full metal jacket military ammunition is very deadly from a rifle unless the hits are very peripheral, hitting only muscle, no bone, large blood vessels.

Interesting how the media I s not fixated on the race of all of the victims. Was this a hate crime against White people? Are White people now targets of hate crimes? Will we hear endless stories about hate crimes against White people by minorities from CNN, MSNBC, NY TIMES, ABC, NBC , and all of the other usual people? Nope! Mass murder of 10 White people is only important because it gives liberals a chance to talk about gun control!
