I can’t understand how anyone involved in this thought it was a good idea but it’s not the first time lately that the military has bent the rules against service members playing politics while in uniform in order to embarrass a populist Republican. The Marine Corps had to apologize for unprofessional behavior a few days ago when one of its social-media accounts started snarking at Tucker Carlson for wondering why pregnant women are allowed to serve. The Pentagon went so far as to issue a press release responding to Carlson with the clickbait-y headline, “Press Secretary Smites Fox Host That Dissed Diversity in U.S. Military.” A Twitter pal recently observed

Nancy Piglosi has huge financial investments in Guam. They will do whatever she asks.

Guam’s representative is not a real voting Representative (nor is the Virgin Islands' or any other U.S. territory’s). This was a stunt. It was a serious mistake.

Because their "delegate" said so.
Guam is where Nutty, Nasty Nan's hubby runs a giant tuna operation, and gets Nasty Nan to give him special laws to make his business better.
Corruptocrats do that.

MTG made a MINOR faux pas about Guam. No comparison to stupid Hank Johnson thinking Guam would capsize with too many American troops stationed there. Some perspective, please.

I'm waiting for the DOD investigation into this, but I am not going to hold my breath. If a Republican had done this the investigation would have already started and the Dems would be going crazy.

Either Defense Secretary Austin is not in control of his Department, in which case he is incompetent, or he is in control, in which case he is unworthy.

I saw the video of Guam's arrival at Greene's office. Greene was not there. Her staff was very pleasant, and had no idea what was going on. The national guard members were all very young, and looked like they were not sure why they were there, all smiling and friendly. I would have taken it as a joke, took the cookies, said hello to Guam, and wished them a nice day.

So, big deal, MTG lumped Guam in with foreign countries.
But Rep Hank Johnson (D-GA) was concerned that stationing some military on Guam might cause it to capsize and TIP OVER!
Maybe San Nicolas should not have sent that Guam National Guard to the Capitol Building to embarrass MTG. Doing so could have upset the weight distribution on the island and made it unstable (;-)

Clearly an act of TREASONOUS intimidation of a congress critter. Can't expect that McCarthy will come to the fore and actually do something!

If the Guard can take time off to try intimidating a US representative, then their is no reason for them to be in Washington, D.c. They are not the personal props of Congress.

Remember when General Miley walked across the Street from the White house to the burned out church with Trump and was forced to apologize to keep his job because it "created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics."? WTH is this then?

What is the difference between the citizens who visited the Capitol on the 6th, and the National Guard from Guam going in uninvited.?
