The mother of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who died one day after the Capitol riots in January, rejected media assertions weaponized by Democrats in their impeachment trial that her son was killed from head trauma by a fire extinguisher.
“He wasn’t hit on the head, no. We think he had a stroke, but we don’t know anything for sure,” Gladys Sicknick told the Daily Mail in an interview published Tuesday. “We’d love to know what happened.”
The false narrative first came from the New York Times, which headlined an article, “Capitol Police Officer Dies From Injuries in Pro-Trump Rampage,” published on Jan. 8, two days after the riot.

The Unimedia and the Democrat Socialists say Trump himself caused that. Who should we believe? Would they lie to us simply to overthrow our broken national government?

Not know anything for sure? There should have been biomarkers in case of stroke that any sensible pathologist or ME would have identified

Sorry, Mom, but once the Enemedia publishes a lie, it becomes permanently accepted as gospel truth by most of their mind-numbed readers.

The "Media" seem to be the real enemies of the State that few people understand.

I read the Sicknick was an enthusiastic Trump supporter. This must make his mother's ordeal that much more difficult. I am so sorry for her.
That said - I hope there is a way for Donald Trump to sue the living daylights out of the Congressional and Senate Democrats who tried to pimp this death during the impeachment trial.

With so many questions surrounding Officer Sicknick's death, why the rush to cremate his body?
The high profile of this case screams out for the need to bring in an equally high profile forensic medical examiner to offer a second opinion.
Dr Michael Baden comes to mind.

What's even worse than the NYT's false reporting is that I saw numerous reports where they "identified" the man who hit him in the head with the fire extinguisher and said that he had been arrested and will likely charged with murder. I believe the guy was a veteran and maybe even a firefighter (could be wrong about the last part). Regardless, the media completely smeared this guy and claimed he murdered Sicknit. Too bad Linn Wood has gone completely off the rails or he could take this guy's case.

Your son dies while on the job. More than a month later all you know about his death is that you "don't know anything for sure."
And we still don't know the name of the federal officer who pulled the trigger that killed Ashli Babbitt.
I'm getting really tired of this you-know-what.

Since Gladys Sicknick is Officer Brian Sicknick’s mother I would believe her any day over what the highly partisan and political New York Times has to say. Remember your mother is always right!

Gladys should hire in Lin Wood and sue The NY Times for libel.

President Trump should state this in his CPAC comments (which he needs to be focused, short and concise) and demand that every news outlet and politician issue a formal apology and retraction, for spreading misinformation.

Three NYT reporters put their names on that story, and the paper ran with it...obviously without verifying the content. How odd. The "report" turned out to fit perfectly with increasingly frequent attacks on Trump supporters, consistently making them out to be dangerous, vile, racist, white supremacists and all the rest.
Most troubling to me is that the paper immediately rushed to print a story helpful to yet another anti-Trump (and anti-Trump voter) narrative, yet to this day, Officer Sicknick's family STILL doesn't know what caused his death. How does does that make sense? And what is this delay doing to his family?
Did someone weigh the political benefit of running an unverified story vs asking forgiveness later if, as it happened, the story turned out to be untrue?

Well the fire extinguisher story was debunked more than a week ago. So even his mother doesn't know how he died?

The fire extinguisher story should be rejected. There are no fire extinguishers in the capitol building, there is a live-fire sprinkler system. Fire extinguishers were taken out of many buildings after these devices were making bombs with them and planting them in buildings.

I wish she had come forward sooner. She would have known this right away, as the head of his union had. (The union’s story was on KHOU the next day - the same day that the false NYT report came out, the report that shaped the media narrative..)
