The Senate on Saturday voted 55-45 to allow witnesses to be called in former President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.
Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Mitt Romney of Utah, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina joined Democrats in voting to call witnesses, extending the trial which had been expected to end on Saturday.
Representative Jamie Raskin (D., Md.), the lead House impeachment manager, said he wants to subpoena Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler (R., Wash.) after she said in a statement Friday night that House minority leader Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) told her that Trump had sided with the mob

Sounds to me like it will give Trump a way to get his Witnesses to the Fraudulent Election on TV to tell what the President meant when he said the Election was stolen! This could go on for days and even weeks if Trump puts all of his Witnesses who actually can PROVE the Fraud they found. How many of the Democrats have thought of that? Meanwhile, Biden will have to wait to get the $1400 to his Voting Base! THEY are not going to be happy that, once again, the promise of the money has been broken. It looks like Trump's attorney is happy about this. He said he will make all of the Dem Witnesses come to HIS office (in Philly) to give their Deposition! He also said he would have Nancy P in his office! I think the Democrats just unleashed the Dogs on Themselves! After much thought, they might just reverse their "Yes" vote for Witnesses!

Not surprised at all by the names - the RINO troops lead the way. Romney get over your jealousy of President Trump. You're looking like a fool along with the rest of the RINO's. Sick!!

Our perfumed princes and princesses of the US Congress put on a pointless vanity trial because the Bad Orange Man revealed them for the feckless fools that they are. Meanwhile, homeless people are starving in the streets in the cold winter, people are losing their livelihoods because of the Chinese plague, illegal aliens are streaming across the border, gasoline prices are blasting skyward, China and Russia are rattling their sabres, and government spending is out of control. We'd better served if they went back to their usual insider trading dealings instead of wasting tax dollars this way.

No senate business getting done? Sounds great to me!
Let's do this thing right and call as many as they call.
Make sure they're the same long-winded types they'll call on.

Call away. He's not in office. You can't impeach a private citizen. Just another way to waste more of my time and money instead of actually doing something.

Looks like what they're really trying to prove is that the insurrection really should have succeeded so that insanity like this would finally end.

I think I have figured out why our drug addled chief Judas, John Roberts, declined to preside over the Senate trial.
If he had an ounce of integrity, he would have refused to allow the dimocrats to call witnesses, which, in turn, would have made him vulnerable to impeachment himself.

I guess the democrats and the RINOs have never learned the old truism, “Be careful what you wish for, for you shall surely get it.”

Call about 2000 witnesses, that should tie up the Senate for years, long enough to replace numerous Dimwitcrats and RINOs.

So the RATs think they have the secret witness. Someone who she heard somebody else say that somebody else heard something. Hamilton Berger put on a better case against Perry Mason.

Since Bank of America has surely revealed most if not all of the 400,000 rally attendees to the FBI, subpoena all of them to testify under oath that they were not provoked by Trump into violating the sacred halls of the Capitol. Will take months, but if it keeps Schumer and his sleazy majority along with the 5 RINOs from enacting socialist laws, all the better. If this isn’t allow, subpoena the 20+ Antifa participants who have been identified to date.

This could probably work to President Trump's advantage, There has to be discovery and other wittnesses could be called. This will open up a can of worms for the dems. Raskin is a real slime ball, isnt he?

Here is the question making the rounds on the internet. I do not know who said this
“ why impeach a President that lost. Unless of course he didn’t. Then you would have to silence him! Oh wait.”

The stupid democrats would have managed to call witnesses even without the idiot 5 Republicans. No one cares about this circus, Democrats, so give it up. I’ve tuned in a few times and keep seeing that obnoxious Raskin. What a whining bore. I think calling witnesses will be what buries democrats, so go for it.

#23 They know they cannot impeach a private citizen. That they are doing this sham of a trial is showing that they recognize that Trump is still the President.

Why do so many think that the Senate trial is analogous to a court of law? The democrats are in control of this purely political theater, so they can make the "rules" say whatever they want them to say. The federal rules of criminal procedure, prescribes the rules of criminal procedures for the lower courts but those rules do not apply to an impeachment proceeding, especially the impeachment of a private citizen. Chief Justice Roberts would only be constitutionally compelled to preside over the impeachment of a sitting president, which Trump is not. As far getting rid of the usual RINO miscreants via future primaries, does anyone really think that those who voted them into office and have voted to keep them in office are not aware of their political tendencies, making them indistinguishable from democrats? Collins, Romney, Graham, Murkowski, and Sasse are known commodities in their respective states. Their collective motto, vis a vis democrats is: "Walk beside me, hold my hand, and be my friend." The majority of voters of their states must want this or they would have been bounced a long time ago. I suppose it is possible that democrats have been cheating in favor of the RINOs to create the illusion real bipartisanship through their reliable fellow travelers. Once in a Blue Moon, Collins or Graham will side with the more conservative republicans, if only to keep up their cover story that they aren't progressives themselves.

There won’t be any witnesses because if there are, Trump’s defense could well call 100 or more witnesses to rebut whatever witnesses that the Democrats call. The Trump defense team could call a lot of witnesses who were at the White House on June 6th and listened to Trump’s speech and were not incited to riot by the speech. If the Trump defense team were to do that, the US Senate would be jammed up for weeks or even months, with Biden’s political agenda completely stalled, and with Trump still in the end being acquitted.

The Never-Trumpers are Nasty Reviews are just as bad as the slimeball Mueller in say, "Acquittal but not Vindication." Oh really? Want to open yourself up to a lawsuit from the former President? Keep talking.
The FIRST person arrested by the cops was... wait for it... ANTIFA! A growing majority of the curs being arrested are BLM/Antifa b@stards too. So no, Nazi-Redo, it ISN'T conspiracy theories to say that Demonrats played a role in the violence. They DID and we have them on FILM.
