Iowa Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a new health proclamation Friday that relaxed many of the state's existing COVID-19 regulations. Among the policy reversals in the Public Health Disaster proclamation are the removal of the indoor mask requirements in public spaces and the social distancing requirements that previously regulated limits on social gatherings and businesses. The new policies go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, KCCI reports.
In the document, Reynolds states, "I strongly encourage that all businesses or other employers remain open with in-person operations take reasonable measures under the circumstances of each establishment

People there need to understand proclamations and regulations and requirements are not LAWS.
It’s time for civil disobedience and ignore it all. Live your life take your chances and fight for freedoms or die a slave to the government.

This evening for the first time in a year, we went into a restaurant to eat. Governor inslee has relaxed some of the restrictions. In the parking lot there was two cars from the Health department and two guys were standing outside with clip boards in their hands. Haven't the slightest idea what they were looking for. The owner and our favorite server were there and greeted us warmly. They had paper menus, supposedly to throw away after we used them and the tables were placed over 6 feet apart. Otherwise, a pleasant evening spent with one of our sons and his 13yr. old daughter who we hadn't seen since Christmas.

These should have never happened. The government does NOT have this power.

My understanding Kim Reynolds is a RINO like Gov Hogan in Maryland. All of the sudden, Biden took office and they are lifting the restrictions. Please...................

Again I'm thankful to live in Florida, where I have been able to go out to eat for many months. Our governor lifted many restrictions months ago, and we don't have any food police making sure we aren't breaking any rules.

Iowa had restrictions? I've never seen more than two people in the same cornfield out there. On a business trip one time, I flew into a major airport and had to take a bus ride for two hours to get to Ames. The bus had straw on the floor! That's not a slam, it just proves that Iowa is full of hard-working people who deserve better government.

New Mexico is still in phase one lockdown going on one year. With the closure of oil production by the fraud Delaware Dummy in Washington this will surely become history. Illegals crossing out southern border will even bypass the state because there's nothing here anymore. Restaurants are closing for good, we haven't moved from our house and patio porch except to grocery shop for food. I put one tank of gas in my car a year ago and none since. It's horrible life in New Mexico a bluest of blue states who carried the Delaware Dummy in 2020. God bless other states with their successes.

#5, and we have had our restaurants open since about May, if I remember correctly. After a few months of this damned lockdown, they couldn't keep the restaurants closed in Kansas, even with an exceptionally stupid Dem governor.

May God bless patriotic, freedom-loving Governor Reynolds. If only, when she’s done liberating Iowans, she’d somehow rescue the rest of America’s masked/socially-distanced serfs.

Born and raised in Iowa. Went to the University of Iowa. Straw on the floor of the bus you took? Seriously? Many Iowans have never even been on a farm and never leave the city. C'mon! Check out Iowa's education standards. Highest in the nation. I've always been grateful that I can pick up any book and read it. That was due to the teachers I had in elementary through High School in Mason City, Iowa. A city with a rich heritage of music and arts! But also full of "rubes" by the coastal elites! Yes, Ames is an hour from Des Moines. But farmers with straw on their boots don't take buses, dude! Wow!!!
