Democratic bill would force all gun owners

Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee introduced a bill earlier this month that would enact some of the strictest gun regulations in the history of the country and give the federal government sweeping power to decide who can own a firearm. The Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act, named after a Pakistani exchange student who was murdered in Texas in 2018, would "provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms" and "prohibit the possession of certain ammunition."

Comments:

Is there no depth of evil and tyranny that Leftists will not stoop to? Are you a military vet who was shot at and had PTSD? No self defense for you. Ever been anxious and needed to be treated for anxiety? No self defense for you. First, they will designate all Republicans as terrorists, so they won't be able to get a weapon. The Left will weed out the rest through this unconstitutional process. But thugs who are strung out on opioids, crack, and meth will get weapons through the black market and, therefore, will NOT be subjected to any of this.

The Federal Government has NO Constitutional authority to do this. ZERO. But with the SCOTUS being what it is, that will not matter.

The democrat party is truly anti Constitution and they are totally committed to disarming the country! Make no mistake, gun confiscation is their end game and they will do anything to achieve this goal! If they succeed, it will be the end of the republic and we will be living on our knees as subjects of a ruling elite!

There are not enough qualified psychologists in the USA to evaluate every firearms owner and their family members. Do the Democrats really believe that criminals, intending terrorists, and violent criminal gang members are going to comply with their very overreaching gun control laws, or any laws for that matter? Since they will not, it appears that this proposed radical law is simply another try to harass law abiding firearms owners with firearms bans, fees that they would have to pay liberal psychologists, and new taxes on firearms and ammunition. Democrats should remember that the last big gun control measure that they pushed through Congress caused them to loose control of the Congress for a decade.

As long as this toxic bill strips members of congress of all their security and puts them through the same process, (which would level the playing field) I could be for a trial run of this bill.

Most people who want weapons already have at least one, and they have no intention of giving them up to a Constitutionally illegal Bill law or regulation. We all want peace, but Democrats seem determined not to give it to us. They are pushing us toward a war pushing hard. They might get what they want.

Pure leftist ideology and punishment for us deplorables. If they could somehow find who has legal weapons and confiscated 75% of them, crime would go up, not down. Dontavious and Tyrone, your local, independent drug salesmen are not going to be bothered to register their firearms. Most are barred from owning one anyway due to previous felonies. It is certainly illegal to carry one in Chicago and look at their skyrocketing murder and violent crime rates. No, they want to punish us for wrong-think and are sure they will be ok in their safe, secure, gated communities. It's the poor blacks living in those Dem-run s***holes that won't have any protection from their neighboring ghetto rats.

There will be a Catch-22 in their edict: If you want a gun, they will consider it to be prima Facie evidence that you are crazy. Therefore no one will be allowed to be armed except for the thugs employed by our rulers. And in the mean time the new Secretary of Defense is going to 'stand down' the military while he purges anyone who he thinks might have voted for Trump.

Don't be so sarcastic #26, we have seen this before. In the 1930's marijuana was legal as long as you had the proper revenue tax stamp for it. The revenue stamps were all printed up and are now very popular with collectors. But used ones are nonexistant. This is because in order to get the stamp to prove you paid the tax and your weed was legal you needed to bring the pot to a federal office for weighing and taxing. Of course the minute you put your bag of loony lettuce on the counter you were arrested for having untaxed silly seaweed and promptly marched off to the pokey. Don't ever believe anything, no matter how insanely irrational, is beyond the ability of some government official to attempt.

To say that Turkey did not enjoy a smooth transition from being the seat of the collapsing Ottoman Empire, through World War I and into the modernist Ataturk era, would be a massive understatement. In those turbulent times, ethnic Turks, who were Muslims composing the vast majority of the population, considered their Christian minorities, especially the Armenians, to be disloyal and treacherous.

Dozens of House Democrats are calling on President Biden to relinquish sole control over the country’s nuclear arsenal and the ability to launch a strike using those weapons. Politico reports that the Democrats, led by Rep. Jimmy Panetta (CA) and Rep. Ted Lieu (CA), wrote a letter warning that “vesting one person” with the authority to initiate a nuclear war “entails real risks.” “While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so,” the letter explains.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
