The Justice Department said it was concerned that the Pennsylvania woman accused of stealing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s laptop during the US Capitol riots might be destroying evidence—and encouraging others to do so. Lawyers for the department said during a hearing Monday they believe Riley Williams changed her phone number and deleted her Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, Telegram and Parler accounts, CBS Pittsburgh reported. Williams, 22, was arrested on Jan. 18 after her former romantic partner accused her of taking a laptop or hard drive from Pelosi’s office with the intention of selling it to the Russians, authorities have said.
