Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) voted in favor of a resolution declaring the impeachment trial of former President Trump “unconstitutional” on Tuesday.
The point of order resolution was put forward by McConnell’s colleague from Kentucky, Rand Paul, and effectively forced Republicans to declare on the record whether they consider the impeachment trial constitutional, given that it’s taking place after Trump has left office. The resolution failed after a majority of senators voted against it, meaning the impeachment trial will go ahead as planned.
However, only five Republicans voted against the resolution: Mitt Romney of Utah, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins
The RINOs are out in force early this session...

The State Republican Parties should finally look at recalling the five RINO Senators who voted to essentially assist the leftist and liberal Democrats to carry out their partisan dirty work. Notice that the Democrats don’t have a DINO problem among their ranks, as if a Democrat Senator tried that, it would not be long before he or she would be gone.

This needs to be taken over to SCOTUS - force that spineless ninny Roberts to make a ruling on it.

McConnell’s nay vote was a pleasant surprise. As for “the usual suspects,” not a surprise at all.

Moron Murkowski is up for reelection in 2022. Doesn't she care since the last time she ran she wasn't the Rebublican candidate? This might not go well especially if say, Trump did a few rallies for her primary opponent. These DAs think Trump is like the other money grubbing Ex-pres and just wants to make quick easy cash talking to folks. Trumps a billionaire with supporters and now time on his hand.

Funny that we all knew on this site that this is unconstitutional. A simple reading of it without TDS reveals the obvious.

Good.
And of course, that deranged hater Witless Mitt imagines that this Kangaroo Kourt is OK, and imbecilic Murky mindlessly goes right along, of course, hopeless Collins "thinks" (LOL!) it's good, too.
Sasse signs his retirement plan, and Toomey has already admitted that he can't win again, so going all hateful and crazy, smearing feces around before he leaves.

Thank you Rand Paul.
How is it possible for Kentucky to have a great senator like Rand Paul (even though he is a PITA about 20% of the time or so), and also a corrupt slug like McConnell, clearly in thrall to the ChiComs?
How does that happen?

Mitt Romney of Utah, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania. Remember these RINO names and ask yourself, "What do they have to gain by voting to go forward with a vindictive attempt to impeach a President who has already left office on ONE subjectively dubious article?"

Sasse, McConnell, and Collins just got re-elected. They don't have to give a (blank) about the rubes back home until sometime late in 2025, if they decide to run for re-election.
Toomey isn't running for re-election in 2022. Murkowski is up in 2022, having never won a majority only plurality elections, and we're stuck with Pierre Delecto until 2024.

#12, Romney, Sass and Collins are safe for another 4-6 years. They figure the voters will forget by then.
Toomey doesn't plan to run again in 2022. Murkowski is the only one in any danger, at least in their minds. WTP aren't going to forget, this time...NOT EVER!
In other news, Lindsey Traitor Graham voted for Blinken for SOS. Once again returning to his John McCain self after his now, what appears to be, unfortunate re-election. If I knew we were going to lose the Senate, I would have voted for his opponent just to get rid of him!

Pat Toomey (PA) has always been a slimy RINO and a untrustworthy snake.
He has announced his retirement and is trying to build up his NeverTrump bonafides to increase his private sector marketability.
Get ready for a Dem replacement Senator in PA next election. PA certainly knows how to rig an election

I won't read the NR article as a matter of principle, but it seems to be good news. Maybe McConnell's attitude has been changed by an avalanche of mail to the RNC. I can say for myself that decided to mail back the "postage paid" contribution solicitation response envelopes - at least seven of them - last week that I had put aside in 2020. Each had in it a typed indictment of the RINOS and Uniparty traitors. I specifically mentioned the traitor Romney and, in view of his recent condemnation of our beloved PDJT, McConnell.

National Review has fallen far short of its origins. The writing is left-slanted. The use of pejorative phraseology such as "...incited a mob..." isn't objective reporting, it's characterizing the group.
NR has come close, at times to being the same as NPR.

The GOP needs to forget the Democrats for a bit and go ahead with impeachment against these five RINOs. Until these five are gone, I will not vote Republican.

My own senator, Toomey voted to impeach. If that rat bastich hasn't retired or stepped down, or been primaries by the next election, I'm going to do a write-in, and vote "Donald Trump" for Senator.
Having that limp butt head is the same as having a Democrat, so no loss even if they do win his seat.
