President Joe Biden signed an executive order Monday to phase out the federal government’s use of vehicles that run on gas and replace them with ones that run on electricity. The process is part of Biden’s “Made in America” executive order, which the president claims will create one million additional jobs in the auto industry in America. (Tweet/Video) “The federal government also owns an enormous fleet of vehicles, which we’re going to replace with clean electric vehicles made right here in America, by American workers,” Biden told reporters during a briefing Monday announcing his “Buy American” executive order. But replacing an entire federal fleet of hundreds of thousands of vehicles

Wait until someone on a Federal reservation goes into distress and the ambulance is charging and unusable, or the fire trucks are charging when a forest fire starts. Just goes to show how stupid leftists are.

Not to worry #1...they're electric! Biden knows that electricity comes from oh...you know the thing! I want to see "The Beast" run on electricity and maybe Marine One.
Fairy dust and moonbeams are more practical.

Include the Secret Service "Beast" in that order, you hypocrite. You'll find out that Physics doesn't favor electric vehicles that carry 1 ton of anti-ballistic materials on them

So, it doesn’t matter how much it will cost and the fact the batteries will be made in China? And the lithium will come from elsewhere. Lets just help destroy one of America’s most important industries, oil and gas.
And were going to have to install charging station for virtually every vehicle, otherwise even less work will get done by government employees waiting for a charged vehicle so they can go about their business.
At least they won’t need gas credit cards, eliminating one source of abuse and fraud.
So agencies like FEMA will have to respond to natural disasters with electric vehicles where there is no electricity to charge them. Its amazing how little time it takes liberal Democrats to do something stupid.

#1 - Coal won't be needed. What little, non-fossil-powered generating capacity left by then will simply be commandeered by The Party whenever necessary to charge the state vehicles. Utilities will be nationalized, so throwing the required switches won't be a problem.

We gonna put charging stations every 25 miles - or less - along the border for the Border Patrol? How many big 4x4 Suburbans and Explorers are going to be stranded in the desert? And as stated above, let's see FEMA respond to a major disaster with the power grid down.

Of course, they just finished ordering the new U.S. mail trucks, which actually should all be electric as they hardly go very far from the local post office.
It's actually a very good idea to have all of their new vehicles be electric, as they will help drive capacity and lower the costs for regular folks.

Did anybody tell Joe that this was tried in Britain about 7 years ago. The electric patrol cars cost 5 times as much as the gas ones. They couldn't catch a speeder who didn't voluntarily pull over and they had to spend 14 hour charging after 6 hours of patrol. Try that with your sunshine, warm weather and windmills.

Does he know where electricity comes from? Does he have a plan for installing thousand of car chargers all over the country? How is that being funded? Does he have a clue that electric vehicles rely on lithium batteries and 95% of the world’s lithium supply comes from China? Oops, that’s why he did this.

Back around1981 in Pennsylvania, when Dick Thornburgh was Governor, and VW Rabbits were being manufactured in Pennsylvania, Thornburgh floated the idea of purchasing only VW Rabbits for the State vehicle fleet.
(The VW Rabbit was a really crummy car, manufactured in New Stanton, Pa, only after former Governor Shafer gave VW really huge subsidies. Thornburgh thought he could save the Rabbit from extinction with his plan. Fortunately, someone talked him out of it.)
Unfortunately, Dementia Jo's staff will not change Jo's fragile mind.
What are the consequences of such a dumb idea?
Late brother was a federal civil servant who managed a motor pool on an Air Force base. Senator John Heinz, an Air Force reservist, was his supply clerk. My brother explained that certain individuals, under classified circumstances, could drive their military vehicles at maximum speed.
Dementia Jo's 'brainstorm' would put our national security at risk.

The Green New Deal sure won't supply the electricity needed to charge all these cars. Elon Musk told the state of California that they don't have enough electricity for the amount of electric cars they want on the roads. And then he left the state.

Is he going to insist on building nuclear power plants as well to provide the electricity to charge them up? If not, then we'll be increasing oil and coal use when everyone's plugging their car in every night to get them charged for the next day's drive.

It seems like someone flipped a switch and we went from clear rational thinking to a moronic state where everyone works on feelings. Where does he think that he is going to get the electricity to charge these vehicles, hamsters on wheels? Feels like we have fallen off of a cliff into the land of stupid.
