WASHINGTON — As the House prepares to bring the impeachment charge against Donald Trump to the Senate for trial, a growing number of Republican senators say they are opposed to the proceeding, dimming the chances that former president will be convicted on the charge that he incited a siege of the U.S. Capitol.
House Democrats will carry the sole impeachment charge of “incitement of insurrection” across the Capitol late Monday evening, a rare and ceremonial walk to the Senate by the prosecutors who will argue their case. They are hoping that strong Republican denunciations of Trump after the Jan. 6 riot will translate

This article reads like the opening salvo of a collusive media strategy to first establish the narrative that the selfless democrat defenders of freedom and Christendom lack enough votes among the GOP senators to convict; however, at some planned juncture, an embedded RINO/useful idiot like Romney will run to the press with some bold statements that "since the senators have heard and verwy, verwy judiciously weighed the evidence", the tide "may be turning against Trump" and the "gravity of the charges" demands some drastic gesture to permanently "rid the country of the scourge of violent, racisss Trumpism." The media can then put on a full court press, while improving their ratings, by trying to turn the less stalwart and perennial squishes among the Republicans by offering them forgiveness and a place at the cool kid's table if they'd only vote to convict and banish the Orange Man, removing him permanently from public life, as his High crimes warrant. The ultimate aim is to clear the decks for the establishment of Uniparty Communism under the guise of "bi-partisan representative democracy." Or something along those lines.

Donald Trump should be convicted...of engineering prosperity, of support for national security, of pride in our country.

"...a rare and ceremonial walk to the Senate..."
Rare? Heck, its becoming an annual thing with the commies. Maybe next year they can dig up Lincoln and impeach him because he was the first Republican president and therefore entirely responsible for Donald Trump. If this 2nd annual shampeachment was so dang important then the trial should start immediately, as required, and let Biden's nominations wait. Postponing the whole shebang for two weeks highlights the partisan and childish nature of their actions, which is always a good thing. However, letting passions cool will be a big mistake. As we well know, spineless RINOs don't perform well under pressure. They'll be using these two weeks to find ways to weasel out. Perhaps the perfidy of the GOPe will leave the commies high-and-dry for once, instead of us. I'm actually beginning to feel hopeful.

Of course they fade away. Have you not read HR1 which WILL pass? They don't have to scramble to get Dominion machines tweaked before 2022. The Marxists will control the voting and counting with HR1, making Dominion counting throughout the nation unnecessary. And, please don't give me the "it's against article 2, section 1," stuff. Of course it is. When did that matter to the Marxists and the Supremes?

If they set this as a precedence, then the Republicans can impeach Obama for sending billions of cash to Iran without telling anyone but John Kerry They can also impeach him for not doing anything to help our ambassador who was murdered along with four brave American heroes in Benghazi. While at it, they could impeach Hillary for the same crime. I could go on, but I think you all understand.

Nancy Pelosi is foaming at the mouth with anticipation to Impeach Trump! If she could, she would walk up to him and kick him just to make herself feel better. What a spoiled child they have in the House! And, Democrats, buy a Clue. When the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (who is TOLD by the Constitution "he SHALL preside over the Impeachment" refuses to be involved, the rest of the WORLD sees your Impeachment Trial to be a JOKE! And putting Patrick Leahy in charge is like putting the Fox in charge of watching the Hen House! You people are a bunch of Idiots!

I hope the Dems end up looking like Wiley Coyote riding an ACME rocket - Charred and Stupid.
Republicans who vote with the Dems on this will go down to defeat. That said, if enough Republicans vote to convict, the whole party will implode.

Republican Senators are seeing what is happening back in their home states - Rep Cheney is censured and being primaried. Sen. McConnell censured. AZ Republicans are censured.
So only Republicans who are retiring and looking for a lobbying job or a gig on CNN will vote to convict. For the rest of the establishment members, the only "principle" they have is getting reelected

#13 but that would the Republicans would have to get a spine. The dems can, will and have run roughshod over all our rights because they've been allowed to get away with anything crooked. Benghazi is an excellent example. Obama called it a bump in the road and got away with it.

What is most laughable (but why isn't the Press laughing its butt off) is Leaky Lehey standing in for John Roberts and "without bias." Where oh where is common sense and a sense of irony? Our Press, for the most part, is long gone.

Trump should have never been impeached in the House. Our so called leaders respond with unthinking reaction before facts come out. That is no way to run a country. Unfortunately that is the way we are at. The media creates hysteria and the fools in Congress run about with their hair on fire.

The democrats are just using this fake trial to keep the fake news busy reporting the nonsense... they won't convict because then when WE take back the house in 2022... WE can impeach obama because he's foreign born and not qualified to run for president...in addition... his using intelligence to spy on the Trump campaign is illegal... so com'on man... give US your best shot and wait for the payback...back to the focus groups nervous nancy...WE're watching your every move...

Obama, Hillary Democrats are evil.
Biden and Queen Hillary would love to jail their own mothers, if that would get them
one extra vote to impeach Trump.
Trump won the 2020 election.
It was stolen from him thru Democrat fraud.
Trump should have never conceded.
He should fight for America until the cows come home.
