Biden’s Transportation Nominee Pete Buttigieg
Says Gasoline Tax Hike Possible

Original Article

Posted By: ladydawgfan, 1/25/2021 2:50:37 AM

President Joe Biden’s pick for secretary of transportation said recently that a tax on gasoline is possible. “I think all options need to be on the table. The gas tax has not been increased since 1993, and it’s never been paid to inflation. And that’s one of the reasons why the current state of the Highway Trust Fund is there’s more going out than coming in. Up until now, that’s been addressed with general funding transfers. I don’t know whether Congress would want to continue doing that,” former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg told senators during his confirmation hearing last week.

I'm sure that poor people will just LOVE paying more to gas up their cars!!

All those legitimate voters for Xiden are going to be facing increased taxes, too. Not the fake voters, though. They aren't real. Because that's what democraps do; tax and spend. I hope they realize that this gas tax is only the beginning. There will be many other things to come. All of us should be prepared for all prices to shoot up, along with unemployment figures, when this $15 minimum wage goes into effect. Jobs for teens will be few and far between, also for many adults. Or is everyone going to get a similar raise to compensate for the rise in prices? Again I have to mention, I'm glad I drive a Prius!!

As usual, media fail to ask the proper questions. The primary one in this case is: Will the gas tax revenue go to roads and bridges ie motorways for vehicles using gas? Too often the government uses fuel taxes as a slush fund for choo-choo trains, solar and other useless idiocy.

Gas prices in my area started going up shortly after the election. The oil companies knew that Xiden would end fracking and the pipeline and acted accordingly. My car uses mid-level gas and it’s now up almost 50 cents per gallon. And all of that is before Buttplug’s new taxes.

It isn't just gas prices that are going up, we have already paid our "stimulus" checks back in the form of higher prices for everything since it was monopoly money with zero productive value behind it. Actually negative value as we strangle real wealth creation, and in the process left future generations to foot the bill for our unwillingness to pay for today's reality today. Buttengage had better be crafting his narrative to blame the inevitable decrease in tax revenue on the extreme far right homophobes, pointy hat wearing Nazi Neanderthals. We have already reached stage 1 of running out of other peoples money, they still have something left to take but in attempting tp take more we actually end up getting less.

#17, I can’t remember who said it - may have been PDT’s energy secretary, but apparently in it’s current state the electrical grid is not powerful enough to take care of the country having only electric cars. To expand the amount of electricity needed we will have to burn a lot more coal and other “fossil” fuels. The left is so blinded by their own environmental ignorance that they can’t see this. So the next step will be to take away our cars and put us on bicycles - Cloward Piven and Agenda 21 are already in the works.

One of the most despicable things about the Biden administration is that, even as it doubles and triples down on the COVID restrictions it wants for Americans, it’s utterly unconcerned about the diseases flooding across the border along with the illegal aliens Biden is unconstitutionally welcoming in. The president and CEO of Greyhound Lines, though, is demanding that, at the very least, its workers and other passengers get protected from the COVID so many illegal aliens bring with them. From the start of his campaign, Biden weaponized the Wuhan virus against Trump. Informed and intelligent people realized very quickly that Trump was moving with extraordinary rapidity

Biden has issued Executive Orders that ban enforcing immigration law while simultaneously inviting in a new wave of illegal immigrants. These EOs also suspend deporting illegal immigrants, even those awaiting trial for felonies and other serious crimes, and signal that all new arrivals will be eligible for social benefits such as healthcare. Cesar Chavez’s struggle in the 1970s and ‘80s can help explain the impact this will have on labor markets in general and working-class Americans in particular. Chavez understood that illegal immigration diminishes workers’ earning power.

It began with throw pillows. Pillows shouldn't matter much, but like every decision we make now, they matter more than you think. The old sofa had to go. It had lasted 25 years, by some miracle. The old sofa was U.S.-made. Only 20% of today's furniture is. It was expensive; the store owner told us we'd be able re-upholster it down the road, though that would be expensive, too. He was right on both counts. He retired. His kids run the store now. We managed to find a new sofa, also made here. A different color. So we needed throw pillows.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
