Apple's Tim Cook Just Comes Right Out and Says
It About Canceling Parler: 'We Don't Consider
That Free Speech'

Original Article

During former President Bill Clinton’s testimony before a grand jury about his Oval Office shenanigans with 22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky, the Philanderer in Chief shrewdly said, in response to a question, “It depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.” In Apple CEO Tim Cook’s case, it depends on what his meaning of “that” is. More precisely, in the case of Apple’s de-platforming of conservative-leaning social media site Parler, it matters a hell of a lot what Cook’s meaning of “that” is, when he says of Parler: “We don’t consider that free speech.”

Comments:

Odd. The Constitution that I studied in school didn't have qualifiers or exceptions regarding the First Amendment. I also don't recall voting for Tim Cook to be the arbiter of what constitutes "Free Speech!!" The leftist moron probably doesn't even recognize the blatant hypocrisy of his statement!!

Parler needs to find a site that will host his platform. Then, President Trump needs to pick which platform he is going to communicate other then the "now" big tech. Once he does that, Twitter, facebook, youtube, instagram, etc. will tank.

That statement is precisely why the First Amendment was written. Nobody gets to determine if someone else's speech qualifies as free speech. That's the whole point of it. But since he made that god-like pronouncement, I hereby pronounce similarly that I don't believe that Apple products should be legally allowed.

I think many of US are still coming to grips with the fact that we are in a whole new world where the Constitution is all but dead. The left is in charge; think about who they are and what they've done; they've moved this country so far from its founding that it would be unrecognizable to its founders. The left has become or has always been everything they demonized. The left hated the "robber barons" but look who are the robber barons now. The left told US we couldn't legislature morality, but they rule by cancel culture. Back alley abortions were endangering lives, but under abortion rights more lives (millions) than ever (babies and women) are snuffed out. Many of them refused to fight in wars, but they are now the warmongers. I won't get started on how the left has placed and keeps black Americans in poverty and dependence upon the very group who enslaved them in the first place, while demonizing and accusing the other side of doing what they do. The left was never about the little man, free speech, etc. They were lying then, but they are comfortable telling US the truth about who they are now, because they believe the takeover is complete. America has been dying a slow death and is currently on life support; it's gone into a coma. Will it ever wake up?

The "capitol riot", which looks to be a largely staged event involving leftists, is being used as the mediagarch's Reichstag Fire. It is to be used as the excuse for all of their totalitarian oppression, "for your safety". Just like the 2020 covid tyrannical responses, since they've learned the American public will cower in their basements "for your safety", will shut down businesses, will wear useless cloth face diapers, will even stop going to churches, "for your safety". The totalitarian leftists have exposed the frailty of the American system. Freedom is a flickering flame always needing care and attention. That flame, from blazing torch to flickering candle, requires effort and bravery. The lazy and cowardly will let let that flame go out entirely, "for your safety".

Hey Tm, paraphrasing a little communist professor from the sixties: "If you can censor what I say, then neither of us have free speech." He was using that as an argument against the censoring of his own propaganda, of course. There will be payback.

Free Speech to these people, apparently, is only that which they approve of, which isn't free at all. They are anal, controlling tyrants. Just like their Apple products, which can only be worked on by approved Apple technicians, you can't do anything with the computer yourself, and you have to buy their software. Nothing free about it. Never had one. Overpriced and too restrictive.

Who cares what Tim Cook or the other Tech Oligarchs think free speech is? The bunch of them are cognitively impaired (in my opinion) and lack the ability to figure it out, or simply read the constitution, The real problem is that collective actions of these people amount to an illegal constraint on free trade, or a violation of the Sherman Act. The primary purpose of the first amendment is to guarantee free POLITICAL speech without fear that one would be arrested, tried for treason and executed. Specifically. One is protected from the government. That protection, however offers no protection is the speech isn't welcomed and the people shun you or boycott your business. Free speech does not allow one to scream fire in a crowded theater. Nor can one get out and publicly agitate for a rebellion. Which is odd, considering that's exactly what the founders did themselves.

One of the most despicable things about the Biden administration is that, even as it doubles and triples down on the COVID restrictions it wants for Americans, it’s utterly unconcerned about the diseases flooding across the border along with the illegal aliens Biden is unconstitutionally welcoming in. The president and CEO of Greyhound Lines, though, is demanding that, at the very least, its workers and other passengers get protected from the COVID so many illegal aliens bring with them. From the start of his campaign, Biden weaponized the Wuhan virus against Trump. Informed and intelligent people realized very quickly that Trump was moving with extraordinary rapidity

Biden has issued Executive Orders that ban enforcing immigration law while simultaneously inviting in a new wave of illegal immigrants. These EOs also suspend deporting illegal immigrants, even those awaiting trial for felonies and other serious crimes, and signal that all new arrivals will be eligible for social benefits such as healthcare. Cesar Chavez’s struggle in the 1970s and ‘80s can help explain the impact this will have on labor markets in general and working-class Americans in particular. Chavez understood that illegal immigration diminishes workers’ earning power.

It began with throw pillows. Pillows shouldn't matter much, but like every decision we make now, they matter more than you think. The old sofa had to go. It had lasted 25 years, by some miracle. The old sofa was U.S.-made. Only 20% of today's furniture is. It was expensive; the store owner told us we'd be able re-upholster it down the road, though that would be expensive, too. He was right on both counts. He retired. His kids run the store now. We managed to find a new sofa, also made here. A different color. So we needed throw pillows.

There was a great deal of consternation expressed throughout 2020 about funding nationwide elections in the midst of a deadly pandemic. Fortunately, our public institutions were up to the test. Unfortunately, we also experienced the reality of large-scale private election funding for the first time — and in the process discovered the reason we had never allowed it before. Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Without question, the vast majority of Americans who support former President Donald Trump were angry and frustrated throughout 2020 passed with barely a mention of then-U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal investigation into the FBI’s fraudulent “Russiagate” counterterrorism operation directed at his 2016 campaign. In the weeks before the November election, word got out that then-Attorney General William Barr wasn’t going to announce any indictments or even a report on Durham’s investigation because he did not want to influence the outcome. So far, in fact, the only indictment to come out of the Durham probe is that of former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who essentially got a slap on the wrist

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
