PHOENIX -- Federal prosecutors who initially said there was “strong evidence” the pro-Trump mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol last week aimed to “capture and assassinate elected officials” backed away from the allegation after the head of the investigation cautioned Friday that the probe is still in its early stages and there was no “direct evidence” of such intentions. The accusation came in a court filing by prosecutors late Thursday in Phoenix in the case against Jacob Chansley, the Arizona man who took part in the insurrection while sporting face paint, no shirt and a furry hat with horns.

Why are the feds relentlessly prosecuting those they identify as "pro-Trump" yet they turn a blind eye to the crimes committed by Hillary Clinton and the lying FBI miscreants that were involved with the fake Russian investigation to take down President Trump? And why isn't Joe Biden and his family being investigated for their ties to the Communist Chinese? After allowing obvious election fraud to go forward without any type of investigation our federal law enfacement agencies have proven to the American public that they are no better than the Soviet style KGB.

There probably never was a real assassination plot at the Capitol just a bunch of crazies and fringe extremists talking back and forth to each other. What law enforcement must do is identify, arrest, and prosecute everyone of those people from both the left and right fringe who broke the law that day. That's the real deterrent. By allowing the Capitol building security to remain so lax in the face of a scheduled protest involving hundreds of thousands of people from all over the country who do not know each other, a lot of them making their first trip to DC, who these days are bound to be infiltrated by crazies and extremists, as we have seen since last summer with the riots in the big Democrat run cities. The law breaking fiasco at the Capitol building was most directly the fault of McConnell and Pelosi who have the ultimate responsibility for the security of the Capitol building through their Capitol Police Force, obviously all three failed in their duties. Both McConnel and Pelosi know that, and is why they were so quick to project their failed responsibly off by casting blame on Trump who gave a speech that was well within his First Amendment right to give, who was not there, and who does not have direct responsibility for Capitol building security.

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe assessed that China interfered in the 2020 federal elections, according to a letter transmitted to Congress. In the letter (pdf), Ratcliffe alleges that intelligence about China’s election interference was suppressed by management at the CIA, which pressured analysts to withdraw their support for the view. Citing a report by the Intelligence Community’s analytic ombudsman Barry Zulauf, the director of national intelligence said that some analysts were reluctant to describe China’s actions as election interference because they disagreed with the policies of President Donald Trump.

Big Tech, social media, and the press used the violence on Capitol Hill on Jan. 6 as a pretext to purge their platforms of conservative figures and Republican officials, most notably President Donald Trump. Amazon, Apple, and Google conspired to deplatform Parler,(Snip). Critics of the sweeping actions argue, rightly, that censorship violates not only First Amendment freedoms but also the spirit of the law protecting internet service providers from liability. But this isn’t censorship. Rather, it’s part of the strategic logic of mass conflict. The data are now conclusive that relative to the declining homicide trend line of the previous era, the Black Lives Matter push has gotten an extra 10,000 or more black lives ended over the past half dozen years.
