Here's the truth. NYC wo t elect anyone with real solutions that will actually work until the city hits rock bottom. NYC's problems are almost 100% self induced by the very politicians that the citizens keep electing.

As parts of the city burn, as other parts of it are boarded up after riots, as other parts are boarded up because of an insanely over-the-top reaction to a seasonal flu bug, as other parts are abandoned due to crime, taxes, the death spiral of climbing rents due to low occupancy, the ivory tower types cling to their phones and tell themselves the cause of all their problems is Bob the insurance salesman in Moline, IL who enjoys attending gun shows and hunting deer.

It's a shame that so many ldotters sound as hateful as the woke left. There are many of us native New Yorkers who have never voted for the Dems in charge of our destruction. Most of us live in Staten Island, the borough that voted for Trump, who's also a native New Yorker. We are praying for a savior from the right and we need support and prayers not vitriol. Personally, I am hoping for Rudy's son or our borough president, Jimmy Oddo to run. Rudy won after the disastrous Dinkins administration and if the NYGOP has any brains left, it will put all its support behind a worthy candidates for Mayor and all city council seats. All this city needs is a purge of the Democrat party. Pray with us. don't curse us.

No meaningful plan to turn it around? They don't want any plan to turn it around. It's their own kingdom where they can rule. That's their plan. All they want is money from the taxpayers of the country to bail them out so they can continue their rein. It will be up to the clueless people of the state and city to finally wake up and make a change, but that requires thinking. Something the majority of the people of that state and city seem unable to do.

They like people cleaning your windshield and holding you up for money. They like panhandlers and failed schools and high taxes and garbage piled to the sky. Give them NYC and let them revel in it. People would either be apathetic and not bother to vote (I think DeBlasio won with about 8% of the vote) or knee-jerk Dems, rich and poor, or they are wealthy East and West Siders and the like and they can afford the taxes and can move FROM the violence....they may be unhappy about the total death of the restaurants and Broadway shows that made Manhattan and NYC so special, but are reconciled that they are not coming back. YIKES! Over 50 responses from my fellow LDotters and about 90% of ya damn ALL New Yorkers basically to Hell --- or at least misery.
Let's not forget, please, that despite the pure evil of both Sodom & Gomorrah the Almighty, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, was willing to spare them all from receiving their well-deserved dose of fire & brimstone for the sake of only 10 people. A mere 10.
Assuming both miserable ancient cities had only 2,000 people totaled together (it was pretty biblical back then and sparsely populated), that means for the sake of one-half-of-one percent of the population (.005 or 0.5%) Almighty God Himself was willing to put up with the evil continuing. Therefore --- if there are 8,000,000 people in NYC, that means just 40,000 good people living there (or .5% of the population) would spare His wrath.
Even on a bad day, I could easily find 40,000 nice people worthy of saving even in a hell-hole like New York City! Jeez --- there are at least that many healthcare workers and nurses, good cops, firemen, religious people, first-responders, teachers, etc. living there. What about them? Not everyone can afford to get out!
Come on --- spare wishing the earthquakes and floods against NYC for their sake! Save the 40,000!!

#37 - As a native Californian I feel your pain. Its like coal miners criticizing the canary for dying because it was in the cage.
The Uniparty and its Deep/Dark State apparatus are now known and their threat to our Constitutional Republic is understood by every MAGA patriot. It should also be understood, but apparently is not, that CA, OR, WA, IL, MI, NY, NJ, and MA were the progressively communists' laboratories of government. Beginning in the 1970's, they perfected their perversion of state constitutions, elected officials, legislatures and single-issue commissions to incrementally transform free states into occupied territory. With the help of sympathetic media they controlled the "narrative" fed to the populace, and when that narrative failed they challenged the voters' choice in sympathetic courts.
Over many decades we have seen governors, house representative and senate races stolen from the people of these states, while the national Republican party never made a stink over it because they had a "consent agreement" never to do so. Our fellow citizens in "fly-over" country didn't care or didn't notice. President Trump was so effective and such an existential threat to the Uniparty Deep/Dark State they took their strategies and tactics nationally. The patriots of the communist laboratory states are quite familiar with voter fraud, stolen elections and turncoat courts. Even as they are now the victims of communist plots and machinations they can muster no sympathy for fellow Americans who have been straining under the weight of this millstone for decades.
Pray for the canaries because we're all in the same coal mine. If MAGA isn't for all 50 states, then it ain't worth a damn.

Sometimes people need to suffer the consequences of their own actions, it is called personal responsibility NYP, perhaps instead of begging others to pull you out of the fire yet again, you should look to your own history as a city.
