Washington—Dr. Deborah Birx has announced she plans to retire after being outed on Sunday for not following her own holiday travel guidance, calling the experience “overwhelming.” In an interview with Newsy, the White House coronavirus task force coordinator said she would help the incoming Biden administration but then planned to head for the exits. “I want the Biden administration to be successful,” Birx said, noting that she has worked in the federal government since the Reagan administration in 1980.(Snip) The infectious disease expert, 64, was outed on Sunday for not following her own travel guidance when she was joined by three different generations

Good riddance.
Btw. Doktor...how does it feel destroying millions of peoples’, who did nothing harmful to you and your family, very businesses and livelihoods, causing many unnecessary suicides?
Does this help you sleep at night?

Anyone who refuses to do herself what she recommends (tells) others they should do never actually believed what she recommended in the first place.
SHE LIED!

I take no issue with her being with family on a holiday.
What I don't like is her telling me to stay away from my family.
Thanks to these idiots I have not seen my grandchildren in 13 months and was told by my daughter that they are uncomfortable with me flying out to see them in January.

If you can't stand the heat... Dr. Birx's justification for gathering her family sounded reasonable to me. She should have kept her mouth shut about what WE should do and encouraged EVERY American to make their own choices, too, considering their loved ones. Just like she did. MYOB, Doc. And happy trails.

So, she's been in the Federal government for 40 years, which means she has a very BIG pension, and lifetime medical (which will become a supplemental once she starts Medicare). But she will likely see a six-figure pension, and will consult on the side making huge money too. Wouldn't doubt she even writes a book.

In her explanation of why she decided to allow her husband’s very elderly parents to visit with successive generations of the family, Dr. Birx eloquently described the situation that millions of American families find themselves. People are lonely and despairing, some to the extremes of severe depression or suicide. Her solution for her loved ones should have been her advice for everyone: take prudent precautions but enjoy one another and the life God gave you. If Drs. Birx and Fauci had been more thoughtful last spring, they would have advised a more sensible, humane approach to the epidemic, allowing for the social needs of humans balanced with safety. Even if medical authorities in Washington didn’t plunge the knives, shoot the guns or prescribe the overdoses the deaths from depression due to COVID isolations is on their hands along with our sociopathic political class nationwide.

I dont know. I’m cynical, I guess. Bazillions into AIDS research and cure, when a bit of Biblical lifestyle change would solve the problem, but hey, the good Doktor saw an opportunity ($$$) and took it.
And this is rich: “.... this experience has been a bit overwhelming. It has been very difficult on my family … I think what was done over the last week to my family.”
Overwhelming??!! You’ve had 3-4 weeks of criticism and my President has had 4+ years.
BE GONE. You’re dead to me.

FTA: “I think what was done in the past week to my family — you know, they didn’t choose this for me. They’ve tried to be supportive, but to drag my family into this,” Birx trailed off.........
Now that's rich. And why should we care after what we citizens have had to go through this year, that Dr. Brix helped put us through.
My dear mother died all alone in the hospital at age 88 in mid-May. We had phone calls with her and you could tell in her voice how scared and alone she felt. I will never forget those phone calls....................

Fire her. Why do government people, who are in line for a good firing, get to say when they will leave and how?
If my employer wanted to fire me, he wouldn't ask me when I wanted to leave and how much severance I thought I should get. It's time to stop this freaking madness! I requested a meeting with my Senator, but I'm afraid to go if one is scheduled. I might not be fair to him at this point.

None of these nimrod follow their own "advice".
Virus cannot be killed by the everyday cleaning schedule they demand.
Even N95 masks must be regularly sanitized.
N95 masks will only help prevent you from spreading the virus - if you have it already. If someone has a substandard mask(which is most of them) and cough or sneeze, you can be infected through the wet membranes of your eyes.
Covid has even turned up, by reports, in Antarctica.

Is that it? Retire? And collect some big fat pension while millions of us are left with nothing but a totalitarian medical dictatorship of her and Fauci's making.
I think some peaceful protests are in order.

Sadly, her behavior is typical of liberals--they tend to “think/reason” with emotion rather than intellect. Although it is not likely to happen, Dr. Birx might do well to consider her reaction to the criticism of what she did and apply it to what she and others of her ilk have done to President Trump and his family these past four years. She participated in an action that contradicts what she and her like-minded advocates have imposed on American citizens--Americans having suffered for months with regulations that have impacted them physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and financially--and she is defensive, she is hurt.
There is absolutely no rationale for the hatred that has been displayed and cast upon President Trump and his family and what they have had to endure because of lie after lie after lie about this courageous American patriot and his family. Dr. Birx is defending her decision on behalf of her family and their personal deprivation of family needs and unity, a unity that includes children and grandchildren. Well, Dr. Birx, what about young Barron Trump who is at an age of understanding/comprehension seeing the unrelenting, shameful, irrational vengeance being cast upon his father? And what about the impact on President Trump’s other children and grandchildren, some grandchildren too young to fully grasp the irrational animosity toward his adult children as well as his son-in-law? How does it feel, Dr. Birx, having experienced a microcosm of what President Trump and his family live with each and every day? For Dr. Birx and her kind: “Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes.”

#18, if you are a Christian then you will find solace in knowing that your mother is in a better place. That probably doesn’t assuage the pain you feel for having to be apart from her and being unable to provide physical affection, warmth and companionship during her final days but life includes traps and snares along with the good times. The worst of those are the ones we will always cry over. I hope God grants you “the peace that passes the all understanding” and that you feel the warmth of His love for you, your family and for your mother.

Birx should not be allowed to get off this easily. She is guilty of crimes against humanity, and should face a Nuremberg-style trial and punishment, as should anyone who promoted lock downs.

Birx we do not care about you or your family, just like you don’t care about us or our families....or our jobs, or our small businesses, or our civil rights. I’m sure you feel selfless for what you have done. Personally I hope you burn in hell.
