“Cleveland Indians” will reportedly go the way of “Washington Redskins.”
The New York Times reported Sunday evening, citing “three people familiar with the decision” that the Indians could announce the change as early as this week, though the team plans to keep its current moniker for the 2021 season. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Sunday slammed President Trump’s legal team’s approach to contesting the election as “an absurdity.”
“The reason the Supreme Court didn’t take it is because it’s an absurd idea to think that any state or any number of states, no matter how good they are, can challenge another states’ right to run their election has they see fit,” Mr. Christie said on ABC’s “This Week.” “The reason the Supreme Court is not taking this is not because of a lack of courage. It’s for the same reason that every court has thrown this out—it’s a lack of evidence.”

Decades ago, when I went to law school, students were drilled about the importance of "process values" to the legal system and to society. Citizens needed to be confident that a cause, win or lose, was heard with attention by competent and disinterested judges acting according to those general principles called "the rule of law." Defeat would still sting, but not fester.Inter arma enim silent lex is a familiar Latin aphorism meaning "amidst arms, law falls silent."We need an aphorism expressing the complementary truth: "If law falls silent, arms will decide," because if process values are systematically ignored, then all hell can break loose.

One of the things conservatives know is that the media’s hatred for Trump and his supporters and their slavish devotion to the Democrat flavor of the month (whether it’s a Clinton, an Obama, a Biden, or a Harris) oozes out in everything they say or write. That’s why it’s fun to compare past and present articles that demonstrate the media’s willingness to shift principles to advance their biases. Rarely, though, do news outlets make their biases as palpable as NBC News recently did.

Friday night, the Supreme Court’s rejected Texas’s case against the disputed states for “lack of standing.” There are a lot of theories for this decision, but Dick Morris said the unsayable: The Supreme Court was intimidated by the Democrats’ promised court-packing scheme.
The Texas lawsuit went directly to the Supreme Court because it is the only court that can litigate a dispute between two states, and therefore has original jurisdiction for such disputes. Texas’s claim was that the defendant states, by violating constitutional mandates for conducting their elections, injured Texas – which used legal means to vote for Trump – by fraudulently handing the election to Biden.

Kash Patel, the chief of staff to Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, has filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against CNN and several of its top reporters, claiming the liberal network published false statements and promoted “unfounded left-wing political narratives” by painting Patel as a pro-Trump conspiracy theorist seeking to smear President-elect Joe Biden. The complaint filed on Friday in Virginia Circuit Court named CNN reporters Barbara Starr, Zachary Cohen, Ryan Browne, Alex Marquardt and Nicole Gaouette as defendants, in addition to the network itself. It claims CNN “deliberately or recklessly conveyed a false message” to sensationalize the “news” and humiliate Patel.

Kamala Harris (D-CA), and other high-level Democrats and Progressives.

Explosive Accusations -The U.S. Congressman, a Democrat, is accused of being an agent of a foreign communist power. As one accuser says of the lawmaker, “I think he is a spy.” The Congressman denies it, and yet eventually, it’s demonstrated that he has been, in fact, engaged in espionage on behalf of foreign communist paymasters.Perhaps the reader might be thinking that this case is connected to the People’s Republic of China; after all, its many spy programs have been in the news a lot lately—including just this past week. On December 1, John Ratcliffe, the former Member of Congress whom President Trump appointed as Director of National Intelligence (DNI)
