Chicago minority communities skeptical

There have been big concerns in many minority communities about the safety of the new COVID-19 vaccine. Medical experts and activists are working on ways to change the perspective these groups have toward the vaccination. D. and her 20-year-old daughter Mya Jones said they would not take a COVID-19 vaccine. The multi-racial Chicago residents, who are of Native American and Puerto Rican decent, question the speed of how quickly the vaccine was developed as well as its ingredients.

Comments:

Those with "big concerns" can read the very impressive data logged with the FDA: https://www.fda.gov/media/144245/download The vaccine is amazingly effective with only local side effects and little fever and muscle pain. Yippee!

What they need to do is payoff a good number of Black gang bangers and well known rappers to publicly take the vaccine on national TV, that would bring the Black minority communities in from the cold to be vaccinated. In the ghettos what could be more scientific than that?

I'm with #3, skeptical as hell. After their 2020 track record, I'm not enamored of the CDC or the FDA. No matter what Scarf Lady has to say. I'll wait at least a year and see what side effects present themselves to the first guinea pigs. President Trump may have sped up the bureaucracy to produce the vaccine, but he didn't make it. I don't trust big pharma or big government. Take your commie vaccine and stick up your arse!

Like #3 and #6, I'm skeptical. I remember the swine flu vaccine that was rolled out in a hurry, and caused Guillain Barre syndrome in some of the people who took it. You never really know what the side effects of a drug/vaccine are until it is given to a large population, not thousands, but millions of people.

I guess everyone is afraid to say the obvious. For some reason, African-Americans as a group tend to believe in some pretty wild conspiracy theories. I've seen this first-hand on many occasions.

(rhetorical question) how does one go from screaming for a vaccine and then when the vaccine is developed decide NOT to take said vaccine? if this vaccine was developed by the Screw You pharmaceutical company owned by barry barak hussein soeroto obama obama these people would overwhelmingly and resoundingly rush to be inoculated and the sooner the better, even if is was proven to be ineffective. there is something wrong with that thought process.

If President - elect Harris was able to claim the vaccine was developed on her watch, the vaccine would be flowing into these "communities" like a fire hose. Because Trump was responsible, now they won't be vaccinated. How stupid. This is when hating Trump can truly make you not only mentally, but physically sick.

Poland and Hungary on Monday vetoed the European Union’s next seven-year budget and a massive coronavirus recovery plan due to a new mechanism that links EU funding to the rule of law, plunging the 27-nation bloc into a political crisis. The 1.8 trillion euro ($2.1 trillion) budget for 2021-2027 was agreed upon in principle last week after months of tough negotiations, and is meant to take effect within weeks. It has sparked stiff resistance in Warsaw and Budapest, where right-wing governments are adamantly opposed to a tool that could cause them to lose EU money if they continue with policies seen as eroding democratic standards.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
