Attorney General William Barr is said to be considering leaving his post before the end of Donald Trump's presidency on January 20. A source confirmed that Barr is unhappy with Trump stating Barr 'is not someone who takes bullying and turns the other cheek!''He has not made a final decision,' the source said. (Photos) The story, first revealed by the The New York Times, stated that it was unclear whether the attorney general's decision to possibly leave was influenced by Trump's refusal to concede the election or Trump's upset over Barr's acknowledgment last week the Justice Department uncovered no widespread voting fraud.

Finally we have alignment!
Barr had control over the FBI and chose to let them hold all their evidence.
Barr had control over the non-release of Durham's report.
Trump should put Rudy over the DOJ, Sidney over the FBI and Flynn over the CIA.

Bill Barr is perhaps THE biggest disappointment in all of this all of this!!!!!! He initially looked like a fair and honest man, taking a job he didn't need, to restore some faith and order in this whole messy business, all of it. But he has ducked responsibility, God knows why, and I hope he realizes that THIS WILL BE HIS LEGACY, not only with Republicans and Independents but also with snickering Democrats: his obit will simply read that he was/is the man who appointed Durham and let him run amok for more than two years, and who is doing absolutely NOTHING (I have heard that Justice has interviewed not a single one of the brave people who stepped forward under risk of jail for lies, NOT ONE: they are the people affirming this) re: possible fraud in the Presidential election. This is certainly what most of us will think whenever we hear Barr's name in future. Here was a man who appeared honest and decent but who turned out to be totally craven. He should have stayed home and left his early sterling reputation in tact. It is now gone forever. A massive disappointment.........he has fed the horrendous distrust we all have in Justice and the FBI, let alone the CIA.

Barr said that what was being found in the Durham probe were shacking and that there would be significant developments before the election - NOTHING.
Several months before the election, Barr said he was looking into support and funding of Antifa and other violent anti-American street mobs - NOTHING.
The Hunter Biden laptop contained prima facie evidence of crimes and significant evidence that Biden was a national security threat who should NEVER hold ANY public office again.....Barr had that evidence and he did - NOTHING.
Now, evidence of coordinated, pre-planned wholesale election theft by a criminal organization posing as a political party is everywhere and Barr does NOTHING.
This country is on the brink of sliding into a banana republic Thugocracy which would make Stalin envious and Barr’s failure (refusal) to do his job will be the primary cause.

"is said to be" "a source confirmed" "he story, first revealed by the The New York Times,"
All of which adds up to nothing! A lefty rag quoting another lefty rag's lies with no corroboration. Just an anonymous 'source'. This is the lefties stirring the pot, and a bunch of people falling for it.
I am withholding judgement on Barr, but he does seem like John McCain Roberts, swaying with the wind.
But, I wouldn't let the NY Slimes or the UK Daily Trash sway my opinion.

At this point, my estimation is, 'FAKE NEWS'.
.
Yes, as a few other posters have studiously pointed out, AG Barr has disappointed us with his Inactions but it's possible that the threads of the Corruption run so deep and so wide that it may take months to get the goods on Important Players.
His new appointment of Durham as a Special Prosecutor may be a sign of him protecting the investigation against a probable cancellation of that Investigation by Biden.
I hope in time that Barr is vindicated but if not, that's all the more reason to reassess our relation with our goverments in DC and Elsewhere, as it appears we are being Played for Fools.........

Quit considering, and quit. You have disgraced yourself and the office of AG, so you should quit. Trump is going to fire you, so it would be best if you slunk out of town with a resignation. You never delivered any reports, never met your own deadlines, never declassified any documents, never did anything. You went there to run the clock out, and have done that. Your goal has been accomplished, so it is time for you to leave town in disgrace. The people will always remember you as a lying traitor that never did his job. So I encourage you to pack up and get out of town as quick as possible. The moving van is in your driveway.

There seems to be a false belief that the Attorney General, once appointed, is to operate outside of the authority of the executive. Nothing can be further from the truth. The AG must operate within the Constitution and United States Code. He is still responsible to the POTUS. If he thinks that the POTUS is pushing him to do something illegal or unconstitutional, then it is his responsibility to act according to his oath.
The POTUS has demanded that the DOJ investigate voter fraud. AG Barr has engaged in weasel words like "no evidence of widespread voter fraud." Well now, that doesn't eliminate localized, massive voter fraud, does it? The POTUS is either out of the loop in the discussions of nuanced press statements, or AG Barr is deliberately sabotaging him. If AG Barr is working against POTUS Trump, then he needs to resign.

Possible news story: Former AGs Barr and Sessions coauthor a book to cure sleeplessness. “Jeff and I know that millions of Americans have trouble sleeping what with the political and election scandals breaking nearly everyday. To help them sleep, we’ve written this book that incorporates all of the things that allowed us to sleep during the past 4 years, ‘The Art of the Snooze’, the one book everyone needs in these troubled times.”
In an effort to show bipartisanship, the book’s jacket has a glowing comment from Joe Biden, “Come on man, sleep is the best way to get through a grueling Senate, I mean...you know the thing.”

If this is true..
And unlike many above , I have seen no reason to doubt that he is threatening to quit..
Then Barr will resign not because President Trump is 'bullying ' him, but to protect his long-time Deep State cronies and co-conspirators.
In some ways he is even worse than his long time associates Brennan, Comey etc. who at least declare outright their hatred of President Trump; Barr pretends to be on Trump's and 'our' side.
Cicero said it best:
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to fear.
The traitor is the plague.

What does "widespread" mean?
Election fraud does not have to be "widespread". It only has to be in a few key states and in a few key large counties where a large number of fraudulent ballots can be easily integrated into the total count without raising too much notice.

If this is true, and not a figment out of anonymous source says own imagination, Barr needs to remember that the American public is fed up with his slothful, slacker behavior, and his willful blindness to evil. Mr. Barr needs to remember too that he serves at the pleasure of the President and the American people, not the other way around. I guess judges and Barr are the only people who cannot recognize fraud, cheating and scams when it is right in front of them shaking their hands.

Barr is very close-mouthed. He very rarely talks to any media. I doubt that he confides in anyone but his wife. This article is clearly a put-together glued together with speculation based on reports of President Trump’s unhappiness about Barr’s widely quoted remarks on election fraud. The names I see are CNN and New York Times.
When we accept this kind of news - from the UK, no less - we are looking very gullible.

#40, thank you for citing that passage from Cicero. It is a favorite of mine, but one that leads me to great sadness.
Barr has become a disappointment,. He may be a good speechifier, but when it comes to actions to protect the citizens, he shrinks back and seals his lips. We have seen people in peaceful protests beaten up, people at polls harassed and threatened, we have seen Trump Cabinet members and their families, and supporters beaten, even killed, and his Justice Department never raised one objection, let alone commence an investigation.
If more people actually voted for Biden, then we have all the information we need about the future of our Constitutional Republic, and we know that when the time came for men and women in the Justice Department to stand up against the traitorous forces in our country, and stand on the battlements, they did not, nor did the guardians of The Law, nor legislators, nor the so-called media "watchdogs," those last, the scurvyed, toothless garbage hounds.
We are NOT the lawless ones. And those given the responsibility to make sure that the Laws and the Constitution are adhered to have failed us thus far, making them most complicit in the degradation of our Republic.

The Cicero quote bears repeating. I bet not 1% of today's high school students know who he was, or what he said and did. Because I had four years of Latin, I read his orations in Latin, and knew of his arch-enemy, the traitor Catiline. C. sort of reminds me of Balack Osama.
