Tensioned flared in East Akron Saturday night as a mostly white crowd upset with local COVID-19 laws that regulate private businesses and homes protested outside a Black councilwoman’s home, where her friends and family came in greater numbers to her defense. (SNIP) Many in the crowd had shirts, hats or flags supporting President Donald Trump. Some stayed in a black SUV parked on the street in front of Samples’ home. They called Samples and those who came to support her expletives, “terrorists” and “rioting trash." Samples’ defenders called the crowd expletives, “crackers” and "fatties."

Comments:

According to the article, the black councilwoman's supporters used the racial slur, "crackers," toward the white protestors. I guess that black-on-white racism gets a pass in America. Additionally, And why is this newspaper printing this anti-white racial slur when it certainly wouldn't print an anti-black racial slur.

"Mostly white protesters clash with family of Black Akron councilwoman during protest in front of her home". was this kind of headline necessary? there is no reason to stoke the embers of what you people in the news (I won't refer to you as "journalists" because you're not) are mainly responsible for the present climate of race relations. I know there is a means to an end for you people in the news but, you will find that the people who are mostly influenced by and affected by your incendiary blathering's you people in the news call: news will be the people who will eventually put you out of business, a fate which you deserve. communists and terrorists, many times one in the same, think alike when it comes to causing disruption and societal discord and anger. I am hoping for the eventual collapse of the printed media and strict regulation of the social media. someone has to bring about some kind of sense out of this nonsense going on today.

According to an IHS Markit Oil Price Information Service survey (OPIS), gas consumption fell 8.4%, or about 185 million gallons, from the previous week ending Nov. 28. Demand for motor fuel was down 19.3% compared to 2019, OPIS said. (SNIP) "We're heading toward a 90-day period where gasoline demand gets further crimped by winter weather and post-holiday cocooning," Kloza said in a press release. "By January, we may regularly see demand numbers not witnessed since the last century."
