Warren urges Biden to bypass
Congress and cancel student loan debt

Elizabeth Warren called on President-elect Joe Biden to bypass Congress and cancel billions of dollars in student loan debt, arguing that it could be a powerful economic stimulus tool for families still reeling from the coronavirus pandemic. "Biden-Harris can cancel billions of dollars in student loan debt, giving tens of millions of Americans an immediate financial boost and helping to close the racial wealth gap," the Massachusetts senator tweeted, referring to both the incoming chief executive and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. "This is the single most effective executive action available for a massive economic stimulus."

So what about recent college graduates who had student debt loans to the government, yet secured jobs, and then decided to use their initial earnings to pay off their student loan debt immediately, rather than in installments over the 10-to-20 years the government allows? They may now show no debt, but will Warren's plan reimburse them their student loan payments? If not, her plan punishes the thrifty, responsible kids and rewards to parasites.

It sickens me that the Biden administration will be filled with a bunch of delusional people like Elizabeth Warren. "Defund the police"; "student loan forgiveness"; the "green new deal"; they really do believe money grows on trees. They are going to crash this country so fast it will make the absolutely horrific United 93 (September 11, 2001) look like a picnic.

Here's what I think the Left is planning: 1) with Harris-Biden in office, a protracted shutdown will take place; 2) Many more businesses will fail, as they have been struggling to get back on their feet from the shutdown that occurred last winter; 3) The Harris-Biden will promise to bail them out, but with many strings attached, meaning, they will be saddled with crippling regulations; 4) This scenario results in fascism, which is the precursor for, voila!!, communism. Mission accomplished.

Only legislation can cancel student debt since it involves appropriations. Also it will be challenged on a discrimination basis, large loans vs small, vs no loans or paid loans. Funny they attacked TRUMP for lawfully diverting military funding to build the wall but its OK to divert money directly from the treasury without any legislation.

We've saved, opened 529's for all three of our kids when they were young so that we'd be prepared to pay for their college education. We have one left with only 2 semesters to go, no loans, no debt. So now they want me to pay for the debt of students who took out loans? No. I'd image that 3/4 of the student debt comes with worthless degrees too. No, won't pay for that. We recently asked my Father in Law who is a surgeon, now retired. We asked him how much "Medical School" was back in the 50's. He paid $600 Per Semester. the equivalent in today's dollars was around $3500. I looked up the average cost now for a Medical degree $150K-$375K The Universities are taking advantage and over charging. Of course they are all run by money grubbing liberal democrats too.

You might read the linked letter from the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School. Let's play along with the legal 1988, that would be the Reagan Administration, the Secretary of Education was given statutory authority to “enforce, pay, compromise, waive, or release any right, title, claim, lien, or demand, however acquired, including any equity or any right of redemption.” Obviously the law was never intended for cancellation of all student loan debt, or any sort of general debt forgiveness. And here we are... Can't wait to hear any Democrat Secretary of Education nominee at confirmation hearings provide testimony...and watching the Pubbies shrink from battle over this. Hey, like those stimulus checks, it's only money from an empty Treasury vault.

After going through my kids' college funds during a long layoff in the early 2000s, I had to use the student loan program to finance three kids' education. The repayment got, much, much worse under Obama system. Finally, rolled these costs ($200K) into a home refinance at a much lower rate which is nearly paid off. And now I get to pay for the deadbeats who chose not to honor their obligations? What about the thousands of folks like me? Where do we get relief? They didn't run on this.

Dem pols apparently can't stand happy Americans, much less, our ethics & morality. Speaker Nancy Pelosi predicted the slimmed-down House Democratic majority will nonetheless gain power with Joe Biden in the White House. But so far, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell isn’t budging on his refusal to consider Pelosi’s massive coronavirus aid bill, even with Biden’s presidency looming. “Whether you're in the minority or majority, if the president is of your party, you have more power," Pelosi said Friday at a post-election press conference. Pelosi said “Mitch McConnell is going to find out … not having Donald Trump in the White House is going to change his leverage, and that dynamic.” Republicans predict the opposite result.

The experts all told us Donald Trump had no chance to win the presidency in 2016. Then he had the audacity to win anyway. The experts all told us Joe Biden would crush Donald Trump in 2020, and that the Democrats would sweep Congress. Reality intervened: Republicans gained in the House, have more than a shot at keeping the Senate, and the presidential election was diabolically close, whatever its ultimate outcome turns out to be. The 2020 presidential election has been the talk of the nation for over a week now and, with recounts and legal challenges ongoing, will continue to be for the foreseeable future. However, Nov. 3’s results were not all chaos and confusion. The states delivered several decisive victories for consumer choice on issues of ridesharing, rent control and drug decriminalization. Despite the quagmire, there’s still plenty to celebrate. California reaffirmed rideshare drivers’ right to work as contractors with the passage of Proposition 22. The employment issue has been an ongoing one in the Golden State for some time now, after a disastrous law went into effect this year (AB 5)

Democrats in 2020 focused their electoral efforts on a single point: They were against Donald Trump. That might work in the presidential race, depending on how the final vote counts turn out, but in Senate and House races across the country, voters were not buying it. Activists, insiders, and social media might be anti-Trump all day, every day, but ordinary voters wanted leadership and moderation. By helping the Republicans keep the Senate and expand their minority in the House, they might just get it. Several factors cause the Democrats’ delusion, but all relate to the same basic thing: living in a bubble. For party leaders, this is always a concern.

The label reduced these résumé gods to propeller-beanie geeks. Like most Obama statements, it was also a self-flattering way for the president to demonstrate the value he places on intellection, data, and expert knowledge. On Thursday, Portland City Commissioner Jo Anne Hardesty, who has called for defunding the police and derided those who called 911 unnecessarily but was then found to have called 911 when a Lyft driver ended her ride, defended her 911 call, saying it was “another example of being black in America” and blaming “white supremacists” for her fear and subsequent 911 call.Speaking at a virtual city council meeting on Thursday that was discussing the adoption of the 2020 fall budget monitoring process, Hardesty stated, “I want to end with this: recently you’ve read articles about me and a Lyft driver. The New York Post confirmed Saturday what Breitbart News and others had reported earlier this year: that the Biden Cancer Initiative, founded by former Vice President Joe Biden, spent millions on staff salaries but did little about cancer research.(Snip)The cancer research non-profit that former Vice President Joe Biden created after leaving the Obama administration in 2017 spent two thirds of its money on staff, with top executives getting as much as six-figures, before shuttering. The Washington Free Beacon reported on Thursday that the Biden Cancer Initiative directed 65 percent of its total expenditures to staff compensation between 2017 and 2018. A cancer charity started by Joe Biden gave out no money to research, and spent most of its contributions on staff salaries, federal filings show. The Biden Cancer Initiative was founded in 2017 by the former vice president and his wife Jill Biden to help find “solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention” and help find a cure, but gave out no grants in its first two years, and spent millions on the salaries of former Washington DC aides it hired. The charity took in $4,809,619 in contributions in fiscal years 2017 and 2018, and spent $3,070,301 on payroll in those two years. (Snip)But under grants distributed, it listed zero.

Dominion software’s reputation for reliability may have taken another hit with the claim that Eric Coomer, a vice president and dominion, and the person in charge of the software’s security, is an Antifa supporter and Trump hater. This information is disturbing when added to the way in which the software churned out impossible pro-Biden results in the wee hours of November 4 in Democrat-run states following a Trump wave. Wikipedia has deleted most of Dominion’s history. I visited the page a few days ago and read about its origins in Venezuela.
