Where’s Hillary? Clinton absent

Obama in election's final days

Hillary Clinton has been absent from the campaign trail in the final days of the presidential race, even as former President Barack Obama ramps up his role as surrogate-in-chief for Democratic nominee Joe Biden. A slew of surrogates spanning the ideological spectrum of the Democratic Party have fanned out across the country to stump for Biden, but Clinton -- the 2016 Democratic nominee and former secretary of state under Obama -- has been noticeably missing. The Biden campaign has deployed Obama, in addition to some of the former vice president's rivals from the Democratic primary, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.,

"We have a lot of the same values in common, the same work ethic, the same belief in America, the same focus on family." In other words, they are both sleazy grifters, which has been becoming obvious as more and more evidence of corruption is coming out, even though the media is desperately trying to sweep it under the rug. Note that BJ Clintoon has been almost invisible because he has been Epsteined. Hillary's link to the Russian collusion hoax and witch hunt is too close for comfort. The reminder of how the media covered for her is too dangerous to expose since they are doing the same for Biden. Beyond all that, Hillary is a miserable, unlikable person who repels rather than convinces.

The real question is where’s Bill? He’s the one who was president. Democratic strategists didn’t want her hubby Bill to get sucked into the Hunter sexscapade backwash with the lingering Epstein scandal connection. Hillary is also a loser and they couldn’t afford to present that image since they were already running a weak candidate and ultimate political retread. They also knew it was too easy for TRUMP to go after Hillary especially now that the media’s main interest is protecting Biden which is so problematic they have to run a news blackout. Remember “lock her up”? They’re chanting “lock him up” now. Obama is a low energy blur on today’s rough and tumble political landscape. Like Hillary the media has no mission to prop him up, expecting him to work miracles on his own. Of course he can’t because he was always a figment of the media imagination. The decision by Democrats to go with campaign Covid lockdown strategy is the real problem. Without Cecil B. Demille crowds, Hillary would simply be humiliating herself to hit the campaign trail, but Obama has no choice as theoretical standard bearer. All alone he appears a pathetic caricature of an important person.

Many women thought Obama was handsome and sexy. He was tall and slender, with a great smile and a rich baritone voice. He wore clothes well, and knew how to vogue during a speech so as to look hip, in command, and profound. And that was the whole story of Barack Obama. All style, no substance. Michelle brought to the duo unwavering racial animus. Her relaxed facial expression is the "affirmative action scowl." It scares liberals in academia and corporate America to fall over one another offering her whatever prizes and baubles they can come up with. Nothing, however, appeases the scowl. They were a racial version of good cop and bad cop in the highest office in the most powerful country in the world. For eight years! After which, when you get right down to it, all they have to show is a bunch of Hollywood nitwits who worship them. That's why Obama's appearances on behalf of Mr. Burns don't move the needle on the Who-Cares-Ometer.

Judging from the names on the Transition Integrity Project (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transition_Integrity_Project) which includes her former campaign chair, I think not. With her command to Biden not to concede, weighing in verbally throughout this campaign, her podcast with other progressives saying the democrats have to "move quickly after the election", I wouldn't be surprised if she is behind a good bit of what we are seeing.

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

Implications of the Flynn Pardon 11 replies

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
