After his “Trump Country” billboard was abruptly removed from a prominent location in downtown Nashua, Dave Streit has since contracted with another agency that now has his ad featured on five billboards throughout southern New Hampshire. “I was able to get a great deal on several electronic billboards that were up and running within four hours,” Streit said on Friday, four days after Outfront Media prematurely removed his large Trump Country sign from the top of 169 Main St. in downtown Nashua.

All that is needed to cancel the Cancel Culture is for ordinary people to stand up to these cretins. The controversy has generated more discussion that the original billboard could hope for.

As much as you dislike Trump we disliked Obama and still do. Yet I do not remember repubs spitting on their food or beating up anyone with a Obama hat or shouting Obama supporters out of restaurants. I also do not EVER remember conservative college students violently shouting down liberal speakers off campus. All I read about is liberals shouting conservative speakers off campus (claiming ANY speech they do not agree with as hate speech). I also do not see repubs tearing apart booths re abortion of the leftists. Leftists destroy pro-life booths by tearing apart their personal property. No repub can have a conservative view without the dems destroying it. Repubs do not do that to dems.

A friend of mine helped me put out signs for President Trump in a small town in NH and within 12 hours, most of them were stolen. But the Democrat signs were not disturbed. I pray that all our Republican candidates will win this next Tuesday. MAGA!!!

I RECENTLY READ a post by a friend written after the first presidential debate. While she opposed aspects of the Biden/Harris platform, she felt alienated by the arrogance and unkindness she felt was displayed by Donald Trump and she couldn’t vote for a candidate who didn’t represent her. (Snip) Despite the dire predictions before taking office, our president’s administration has taken action to protect our country and the liberties we enjoy. That includes not only the appointment of three U.S. Supreme Court justices, but 53 federal appellate judges and 146 district court judges, all committed to adhering to our Constitution and laws as written

This year’s general election ballot presents the voter with a dilemma. We have wrestled with this year’s choices, as we imagine many voters have. Up and down the ticket we are faced with choices in political ideologies, personalities, backgrounds and governing styles. (Snip) President Trump is not always 100 percent wrong, but he is 100 percent wrong for America. Trump has many admirable accomplishments from his first term in office. We can find much common ground with Trump supporters, including judicial appointments, tax policy, support for gun rights, even inroads to Middle East peace.

The New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper has endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for the 2020 election contest, marking the outlet's first endorsement of a Democratic presidential candidate in more than 100 years. When the paper in 2016 endorsed Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, that move marked the first instance in more than a century that the paper did not endorse the Republican presidential nominee, according to the New York Times.

If you watched NBC’s town hall event featuring President Trump on Thursday night, you probably noticed a woman in the background who at certain points nodded in approval at the answers Trump gave to the questions that were asked, including the ones from combative town hall moderator/Biden stand-in Savannah Guthrie. For those who missed it, here is the “nodding woman” at one point giving a nod and a thumbs up to an answer Trump gave on the economy:

Voters in a handful of New Hampshire towns including Goffstown, Kingston and Seabrook have received mailers containing request forms for absentee ballots that appeared to be from their town clerks — but came from an unknown entity, possibly from outside New Hampshire. “State law requires that a mailing such as this contain the identity of the entity mailing and distributing the form. No such identification accompanies the attached mailer,” a news release from the Attorney General’s Office stated. The mailers that appeared in Goffstown had no return address, but came in what looked like a hand-addressed envelope. The postmark was from Kearny, N.J.

Hillary Clinton said under no circumstances should Biden concede Election Night, and Democrats should plan for weeks and months of litigation and ballot fights. (Snip) “The Red Mirage” theory, recently floated by a Democrat data firm and promoted by Axios, predicts that Trump will have a large lead on Election Night that will evaporate in the ensuing weeks as mail-in ballots are counted. It provides a ground upon which Democrats will refuse to concede the election either Election Night or even the following day.

CONCORD — A West Lebanon man was charged with voting twice in the 2016 election, and used his “alter ego” to sign up as a 2020 campaign ballot inspector for the New Hampshire Democratic Party. State police arrested Vincent Marzello, 65, Thursday and charged him with voting twice in Lebanon first as himself and then a second time as Helen Elisabeth Ashley. (Snip) State prosecutors said Marzello then used Ashley’s name to be assigned as an inspector for the upcoming elections.

A rather alarming situation is developing in Louisville, Kentucky, in which local businesses are allegedly being issued demands from Black Lives Matter (BLM) activists and told that if they don’t meet the demands, their business might be “f*cked with.” The demands are onerous, invasive, and ludicrous. They include everything from hiring quotas to training mandates to displaying a letter supporting reparations for black people to—perhaps most outrageous of all—paying a “recurring monthly donation of 1.5% of net sales to a local Black nonprofit or organization.”

The phrase “Kodak moment” could soon have a new meaning. Kodak, a 132-year-old camera company, is launching a new pharmaceuticals arm with help from Uncle Sam, officials announced Tuesday. The Trump administration awarded the onetime photography titan $765 million under the Defense Production Act to make ingredients for a wide range of drugs in an effort to reduce the US’s dependence on foreign drug manufacturers. It’s the first such loan awarded under the DPA program.

There is a new thing starting to happen in some places around the country: “Pandemic pods,” which are formed by families who can afford it, team up and pay for a teacher to come instruct their children. For some of the parents, the instruction represents tutoring for material that students get at school. For others, it is a substitute. Some call it “micro schooling,” as did one educator on Facebook who wrote: “I’ve been hired as a white educator to teach a group of 5 white second graders (formerly in public schools) for the upcoming school year in a micro school setting.

We take most surveys with a grain of salt. The firm WalletHub seems to churn them out by the bushel. A recent one didn’t include New Hampshire, for instance, as among the most “independent” of states. We ranked 16th, although the survey acknowledged our lowest-in-the-nation poverty rate. But we can’t argue with WalletHub’s survey putting New Hampshire in first place in terms of taxpayer ROI (return on investment). It rang true in part because it measured 31 different metrics and in part because most Granite Staters know it to be so

And you thought the New York Times’s news division had problems. The paper’s opinion section on Friday published a collection of essays titled, “What have we lost?” Featuring all 15 New York Times opinion columnists, the collaboration asserts that its aim is to explain “what the past four years have cost America, and what’s at stake in this election.” However, rather than explore seriously and realistically the short- and long-term consequences of the Trump presidency, the project comes across more like a collective nervous breakdown, full of self-absorbed handwringing and wild-eyed proclamations about the future of the republic. “Persuasion,” argues New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof.

WHEN MY HUSBAND AND I tell friends that I’m pregnant, their first question after “Congratulations” is almost always “Do you know what you want?” We like to respond that we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then. Everyone laughs at this. There is a truth to our line, though, one that hints at possibilities that are much more complex than whatever genitalia our child might be born with: the truth that we ultimately have no idea who—rather than what—is growing inside my belly. Who will this person be? What kind of person will we become parents to?

In some images, the bus appears to be boxed in by the vehicles. Some members of the Texas Democrats’ campaign say that a Biden-Harris staffer’s car was hit during the incident. As a result of the incident, campaign events in Austin and Pflugerville were canceled.
