In the Trump era, the U.S. electorate has become less divided by race.
That might read like a typo. Throughout the 2016 campaign, pundits (including myself) posited that Donald Trump’s nomination would deepen the Republican Party’s woes with Black and Hispanic voters while potentially gaining the party some aggrieved white voters who had been deaf to its past nominees’ racial dog whistles — but could hear the billionaire’s foghorn loud and clear. Summarizing the conventional wisdom of four years ago, Peter Beinart wrote in The Atlantic that “by stigmatizing undocumented immigrants, Republicans have catalyzed the Latino cohesion that could be their undoing.” The election returns told a different story.

I'm not seeing a divide between men and women. Where I am seeing a divide, and I'm not trying to be funny here, is between those who are taking anti anxiety meds and those who aren't. Among those who I know to be taking them, they are all for Biden. Almost everyone else is for Trump. A strange phenomenon.

And the MFM has never been so desperate to divide us.

I'm glad of it. End the charade. Call out liars. Know your enemy.

This may be a Yankee city phenomenon. I counted up the females in our immediate family (seven). Three (Austin-centered) are avid Democrats, but not necessarily avid Biden supporters. The other four are determined Trump supporters. One granddaughter, just turned 18 and in the Air Force, is the most enthusiastic Trump supporter I have ever seen.
Four men in the immediate family. Two are Biden voters, one a Trump voter, one disinterested in the whole thing.

I see the biggest divide in emotions. The angriest people on the street or on TV are for Biden, while the happiest and most positive are for Trump. Anyone else see that trend?

Yes #5. Leo Terrell is a good example. He has been a guest on Hannity for years and was always angry and scowling and shouting. Since he became a Trump supporter he is happy and smiling and laughing. Hannity calls him Leo 2.0. You can also see it in posts where people express hatred for our country. This attitude has been taught in schools and colleges for years and I’m afraid it will take years to purge. Trump was uniquely gifted to take on the establishment swamp and not let their venomous attacks destroy or even disuade him. I pray for his safety and that of his family every day and also for a successor that can carry on his work.

I agree that the divide is between the happy content and the angry dissatisfied. That may have to do with spirituality though. Maybe this nation needs a rebirth or spiritual awakening. It seems to also follow that those that hate america r voting for biden and the rats the rest r voting with trump.

...one of the main reasons so many otherwise decent, bright, moral Germans in the 1930's became Jew-hating co-conspirators in The Holocaust is because the German media was totally in bed with ONE political party - the nazis.....and the German people - like so many here today - tragically beleved that "If the media says something, it MUST be true...they would not lie. "

It is most certainly in a woman's (real women, please) nature to desire a Biden persona rather than Trump's brash NY in-your-face behavior. It is why teachers who are most frequently women are most successful with girl students rather than boys. The girls want to please the teacher and are rewarded with better 'participation' and then scholastic grades. The boys want to play and compete. We see the ultimate consequence of the female dominated classroom with higher female graduation rates from high school and outside of STEM subjects women now make up the majority of our college and professional school grads. Preferring Biden is the natural consequence of the feminization of our society.

#1 If we watched their news channels, we might be on meds too. I was channel surfing to see what the liberal take was on last night's debate. It is such a different world view! CNN wasn't even talking about the debate, but had the covid death total on the screen with talk of how terrible the future looks. No wonder every single black person I see is masked up and looking frantic.
They look at riots and see protests. They look at a corrupt politician and see a friend. They look at black and see purple.

Not hard to understand. Women want to feel safe. Traditionally men have kept them safe. Over the past 100 years or so progressives have succeeded in emasculating men and have very successfully eliminated men from their role as protectors. And, when women looked elsewhere, guess who was there? Surprise, surprise- the government. Women are drawn to the Dems, as they see them as the party that “cares”. Hrmph.

This seems pretty thin. NY magazine does not discuss the other 257 genders they tell us exist. Are they gender phobic?

Real women are conservatives and real women are intelligent. Those other green-haired, tattooed, overweight, motormouth snowflakes are not Americans, they just live here.

After women got the vote US elections took a sharp turn toward socialism. It's no secret that women tend socialist. . Even the mainstream media think that it's an extraordinarily newsworthy event when a woman declares independence from Big Nanny government. If your thinking is dominated by emotions and feelings and not by rational processes, it's easy to ignore facts - like the fact that socialism has never worked anywhere and it has caused hundreds of millions of deaths. The statistics tell us that women vote around 60-40 socialist v. freedom. Women want security - even if it's false security. Young women are more frightened by the world and seek security far more than nature women. They have been trained to think like victims.

Ah, #15, I suspect your comment will get some resistance from female L-Dotters. I'll just mention one nit to pick. Yes, women want security, often because they are responsible for the well-being of their children. That doesn't always translate to voting Democrat. Many of us understand there is security in a solid national economy and a stable administration.

The Democrats have mastered the female hive psychology...the Republicans don't begin to get it. The Dems have "queens", like Oprah! Ellen! and The View hostesses, to lead their reinforcing hives for overwhelmingly female (and low-T male) viewers. Local hives some from the morning "happy" shows, which draw on the networks for direction and content. They set the agenda and the standard viewpoint that "all women" must have. And if you vary from the orthodoxy, you're OUT! Ostracized by the other drones.
Republicans, in a simpler time, were the masters of media. No more. They either don't get it, or won't get it. And THAT is the key reason why this divide.

Don’t know where they are finding these women, but here in the Midwest, woman love Trump. Authentically strong women are not frightened or threatened by authentically strong men. It’s only the women who have to keep proclaiming to the world how powerful they are that have a problem.

No, they have been brainwashed. Worse yet, we can thank Obola for dividing this country. He wanted to "fundamentally" change US and he did.
Make no mistake, the puppet master is using US as pawns and laughing.
