Only fourteen days until America's watershed election. Some of you may be concerned that your family has not made adequate preparations for the probable civil unrest ahead. Not to worry: here are some bare-bones suggestion that will ensure that you and your loved ones will have the basics needed for some short-term supply chain shortages.
These are suggestions that I have personally purchased for my family and our extended family.
Shop for these items at three or four different stores. You don't want folks to notice two or three shopping carts overflowing with obvious prep supplies

Unless YOU are on the Planning Committee for all this unrest, how hard is it to ''borrow trouble?''

Suggestion #1: if you live in a blue city, get the heck out of there and let them burn, loot, and kill each other. It's Gaia's way of cleansing the area.
Suggestion #2: if you live in a red area, just make sure you have enough vital minerals, like lead, to fortify against infectious Marxists that might have spread your way.

How about a Black Lives Matter yard sign?
Oh, wait, BLM is mostly peaceful.
never mind.

Except for candles, bleach, duck tape, and more water, my household is mostly ready for this. Western Colorado is blood red so we feel safer here. And we live only a stone's throw away from the Colorado River in case more water is needed. A take away from DeKovnick's piece is that technology may be disrupted - no internet, television, and cell phone service. Rely on over the air communications. Cell towers are a sitting duck waiting to be shot up by antifa. Also have plenty of cash at home in case you have a critical need for something. As #2 points out, having plenty of trace minerals on hand such as lead is vital, but, hurry on this one because supplies are already very limited.

I have been getting ready since I was 8 years old, just didn't know it at the time. I probably should fill the camping water containers. I also remember where the natural spring is that used to provide me all the water I wanted as a kid which let me run wild until the designated check in times.

One more thing. Consider protecting your investments in the event of a very serious stock market crash.

Been there, done that, got the stuff in my basement and around the property. C'mon over and see what a great "host" I can be.

I live in Hurricane Country, so I always have the staples mentioned in the article. To add to the list, a generator capable of running essentials such as hot water and refrigerator/freezer. An adequate amount of cash on hand if the grid goes down. And as many have already stated, firearms that you are comfortable and skilled using. With plenty of ammo, of course.

There will be an riots if Trump wins because of The Democrat Party of Death 💀 and Degradation will be enraged. This is The United States of America. The Vast Majority of us will retain our sanity and not turn against each other!

A carry knife for everyone? You will face a mob, who intends to harm you, with a knife? A knife fight?
Nope. Get yourself an equalizer. A high-capacity rifle and handgun. Get all the ammunition you can afford.

If Trump wins, there will be riots of condemnation in the streets of American cities.. If Trump loses, there will be riots of joy in the streets of American cities. Either way, there will be riots, destruction, looting and death in America. Stay out of the cities and you will be just fine.

Not living in a big Dem city, not as worried. KC is nearby, but we are in another state, even though only 25-35 miles away. We have supplies, and are armed to repel boarders.

I've been collecting for over 2 months.
What about TP and paper towels?
In 2015, I started hoarding TP. I thought that BO would declare martial law and cancel the election.

I live in Los Angeles and was stuck in riot central - oops... I mean peaceful protests. On the morning of election day, I'm packing up my cats and we're heading to my house in Phoenix to ride everything out. It's so sad it's come to this. If these aren't the end times, I'd hate to see what is....

Way too late, #3. No ammo on the shelves at all for handguns, some birdshot for shotguns, useful at 5-10 yds or less only for repelling boarders, some small amounts of ammo for hunting rifles, nothing in most stores in .223 or .308 for months.

I need a couple of empty containers. I tried to move one of my ammo boxes yesterday and I can barely lift it! It is one of several. Need to spread things out! Also, I only have 8, 30 round mags loaded with 29 rounds each in .556 and 8 .45 Mags for Glock 21! Oh no! I had a boating accident and lost everything!!!

Way back during the Smidgen administration I was afraid that the economy would collapse so I bought a year’s worth of dehydrated meals and fruits with a 25 year shelf life. We still have them along with a generator and plenty of self defense supplies. There’s water all around us. I think we’re good to go.

Here's some foods that don't go bad -- honey, salt, vacuum-packed white rice and vacuum packed sugar. You can survive a long time on rice and honey.

One big warehouse sells only two boxes of twenty rounds per customer and another gun store made me get on my knees for 5 boxes of 5.56...Actually, I am over-prepped...

I have a feeling if the riots are because a Trump wins, he’s taking off the kid gloves and we’ll see antifa blood running in the streets. He’ll have won a mandate for law and order and won’t be constructed by an upcoming election. That’ll shut the Shiite down pretty quick.

When the rioters come to your neighborhood, especially in cities where law enforcement has been defunded, aim for their legs like Joe Biden's suggests.
