The FBI’s subpoena of a laptop and hard drive purportedly belonging to Hunter Biden came in connection with a money laundering investigation in late 2019, according to documents obtained by Fox News and verified by multiple federal law enforcement officials who reviewed them.
It is unclear, at this point, whether the investigation is ongoing or if it was directly related to Hunter Biden. Multiple federal law enforcement officials, as well as two separate government officials, confirmed the authenticity of these documents, which were signed by FBI Special Agent Joshua Wilson. Wilson did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

Davis’ agent, Bob Birk, said Tuesday that he died in a hospital. He didn’t give a location, but British media reported that Davis lived in Los Angeles. Davis was 81.

Federal Judge Reggie Walton saw an opportunity to give media (Buzzfeed and CNN) their request for all documents from the Weissmann/Mueller investigation when President Trump wrote a tweet on October 6, 2020, re-emphasizing declassification. Seemingly Judge Walton wanted to interpret the tweets as authority for the declassification of material underlying the Mueller probe. (Snip) Walton asked for clarification from White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
Mr. Meadows responded (Snip) with a one-page statement: (Image) President Trump was just re-authorizing AG Bill Barr to execute the same declassification authorities previously granted on May 23, 2019. The president’s tweets were not “orders”.
“You have been identified as a Trump Supporter,” the letter begins. It asks if you have fire insurance, and ends with the statement, “you have been given fair warning.” Not an implied threat, but an implicit threat to burn down houses of Trump supporters. While these letters were delivered in two small in New Hampshire towns, they culminate four years of hatred of this president and everyone who supports him. It is the expected outcome of the largest propaganda war launched against a nation since Joseph Goebbels ran the Reich Ministry of Propaganda of Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945.

Joe Malcoun was featured in the heart-tugging Biden ad that aired during NFL games Sunday complaining about the chances of his Ann Arbor bar and music venue, the Blind Pig, surviving the pandemic. “We don’t know how much longer we can survive not having any revenue,” he complained in the ad. “This is the reality of Trump’s COVID response … This is Donald Trump’s economy,” he said.

The serious problem for Joe Biden – again, assuming the new information is accurate – is that he knew about this stuff. Indeed, one gets the sense that, at least in some ways, Hunter is a chip off the old block. It's now here, served up on a silver platter. No, not Hunter Biden. This Hunter Biden laptop story simply leads us to the issue. The word. One word that rules them all, and in the darkness binds them.

Today’s lesson is that “character trumps ideology." It’s something we should have known all along. It is the reason 2016 was so very depressing, since Hillary Clinton mistook character for her own self-interest, her great flaw all along.
In the 2008 election, as in most other contests, both sides had their flaws, but at least they were not mired in utter hypocrisy. In 2016, both sides were steeped to the gills in their own greed and lies, and by predation and lechery, if we count Clinton and her husband as the two-for-one package they had once promised.
In sharpest contrast stands President Trump’s current Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett.
Okay, why is the President walking into yet another liberal kill zone? I get that he’s fearless, but we seem to be kicking it on all cylinders now and why create a chance to disrupt our glide path to victory?

A Knight Foundation survey on trust in the media taken earlier this year found that 86 percent of Americans—including 94 percent of Republicans and 88 percent of Independents—see “a great deal” or “a fair amount” of political bias in news coverage, compared with 62 percent in 2017. Further, Americans perceive inaccurate news to be intentional, either because the reporter is misrepresenting the facts (54 percent) or making them up entirely (28 percent).
These findings come from 20,000 interviews conducted between November 2019 and February 2020—before the Democrats had chosen Joe Biden as their nominee. Since that time, media election coverage has demonstrated that public distrust in the press is well deserved.
Whether he did it accidentally, on purpose, or (most likely) something in between, when Hunter Biden left a laptop loaded with incriminating evidence about himself and his family, at a computer repair shop in Delaware, he was trying to tell us something.
That something was that his father, aka the “big guy,” who had only days before announced he was running for president, was big trouble.
You don’t have to be Sigmund Freud to figure that out. Nor is it hard to figure out why Hunter might have become an addict and engaged in other self-destructive acts not suitable for a family website but apparently immortalized on the hard drive.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters that he had a “long and serious talk” with Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein after the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.
The 87-year-old Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, was cordial throughout last week’s hearings. She notably hugged Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham when things wrapped up, telling the chairman it was the “best set of hearings that I’ve participated in.”

The most under-appreciated fact of the 2020 presidential campaign is that Kamala Harris, the woman likely to soon replace the geriatric Biden should the Democratic ticket win, is a creature of San Francisco political machine.
Harris was born 56 years ago today in Berkeley, the daughter of two graduate students, and spent her formative years in the East Bay. She attended Howard University where she learned nothing about rap, returning to the Bay Area afterwards.
Her political career took off after an affair with then California State Assembly Speaker, and the future mayor of San Francisco, and the City’s powerbroker, Willie Brown.
On a day when a lot of polling information was released — and it was announced that more information wouldn’t be forthcoming — it’s time to consider just how much of a failure America’s corporate legacy media has become.
And we don’t even have to examine the literal and figurative onanism of Jeffrey Toobin in order to conduct our analysis. Thank God.

Party affiliation, as reflected in polls, is weirdly volatile. While experience suggests that most people change their party affiliation only rarely if at all, what respondents tell pollsters tends to bounce around. Currently, Gallup finds that slightly more Americans identify as Republicans than Democrats. (Snip for chart) At the link, you can see the numbers going back to 2004. For what it is worth, in October 2016 the Democrats held a five-point lead. On the negative side, when independents were asked which way they lean, they said Democrat by a three-point margin.
Still, the recent shift toward Republican identification is interesting. Maybe some voters, when they focus more closely
America’s economy, still rebounding from the pandemic, is at major risk from Joe Biden’s economic plans, warns a new Hoover Institution paper.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta just released a “running estimate” of real GDP growth for the third quarter of a whopping 35.3 percent, a historic spike that would offset much of the COVID-caused losses.
Yet Biden’s plans threaten the recovery; the Hoover economists project that his program would shave “employment per person by about 3 percent, the capital stock per person by about 15 percent, real GDP per capita by more than 8 percent and real consumption per household by about 7 percent.”
Who didn’t see this moment coming for the Minneapolis city council and Mayor Jacob Frey? The council’s police-abolition posturing prompted an abrupt and widespread drain of sworn officers from the Minneapolis Police Department, through retirements, disability claims, and just plain old resignations. The MPD canceled recruiting classes as well, while waiting to see whether their would be a force to expand or even maintain. As police retreated, crime exploded. And the people who have been paying the price for the city council’s empty posturing ever since now want some accountability.
Media commentators, who are unloading everything they have on President Trump, are no longer content with the idea of him merely losing.
Now, in their esteemed estimation, there has to be a “reckoning.”
As part of a package of editorial condemnation, the New York Times declared that “Donald Trump’s reelection campaign poses the greatest threat to American democracy since World War II.”
Then the Washington Post’s Outlook opinion section devoted its cover to two alternatives: whether Trump and his minions should be prosecuted or merely investigated as part of a national truth commission.

The New Yorker magazine said Monday it had suspended Toobin -- also CNN's chief legal analyst -- over an alleged incident that involved nudity during a Zoom call with his magazine colleagues and members of WNYC radio. Vice later reported, citing two sources, that Toobin was seen masturbating on the call.

MILFORD, N.H. — Milford police are trying to track down whoever is behind a series of letters that were sent to supporters of President Donald Trump threatening to burn down their homes.
Kelly, a Milford resident who asked to be identified only by her first name, said she received one of the letters.
"Dear neighbor," the letter read. "You have been identified by our group as being a Trump supporter. Your address has been added to our database as a target when we attack should Trump not concede the election."
The anonymous author went on to say Kelly should hope her home insurance has fire coverage.
"I was very taken aback," Kelly said.
