New Jersey—A new study out Wednesday in New Jersey details why Black and Latino residents are two to three times more likely than white residents to get COVID-19, become hospitalized and die. The report calls for state action to address inequities that have resulted in more deaths in minority communities. "We are seeing this disproportionate impact across the state," said Dr. Brittany Holom, a senior policy analyst for New Jersey Policy Perspective. "This of course goes back to policies of segregating, whether it's segregated neighborhoods, segregated schools, access to nutritious food," said Holom. "The long history of structural racism in this state."

The virus is not racist. The liberal strategy of herding minorities into segregated neighborhoods is racist.

Hm! So is it a 'class' thing - like Pervert Biden noted the other day - 'some black woman stocking the shelves' while he hides in his basement? I don't find any evidence in the article that just because some people have lower paying jobs that puts them at risk for death? If they are out in the public, yes, they may be more likely to contract COVID but to die from it? There are other factors. The first is that people living in these northern climes don't get enough exposure to sunshine and thus have low levels of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is necessary for your immune system to fight COVID. In fact, in Spain they are beginning to us a "pre-metabolized" Vitamin D (Calcifediol) as a treatment to keep folks out of the ICU. Darker skinned people have a tougher time getting Vitamin D via the sunshine obviously because they have more melanin which blocks the rays needed to make Vitamin D. Many doctors have been prescribing up to 10,000 IU to us old white folks who stay inside. A second one is that blacks have a higher rate of diabetes & heart disease - both factors in making COVID more deadly. Anything like obesity, substance abuse, smoking, sickle cell anemia and cancers - all put a person at higher risk of dying.

Lifestyle differences come into play. Living arrangements, eating habits, etc. I don't think the virus simply passes over white people like the Angel of Death.

That there may be a genetic component to higher Covid infection rates among blacks is, of course, a taboo subject. Charles Murray was excommunicated by the Left years ago for co-authoring The Bell Curve, showing that low IQs among blacks may have a genetic component. That book is hated by the Left more than Mein Kampf. In his latest book, Human Diversity, Murray had to buffer his thoughts with lots of professions about his good intentions and using a lot of word salad to slip his conclusions by the PC censors.

I guess the white people in NJ painted "KKK" on the mantles around their door, and that mean old racist virus passed them by and found a poor black family to decimate?!?!?!?
Strange, I missed that in official CDC and WHO reports. Who knew???
Seriously, the last I checked, the strong majority of people who have gotten sick and/or died from Covid-19 have been old white people. I guess not in the glorious soviet socialist republic of New Jersey!!!

Some groups of people less likely to follow rules. It's that simple.

Demonrat run NJ kills more black and brown citizens than Comrade Cuomo in NY. At least Cuomo stuck to the party line of 'exempt noone".

Anyone hear of an outbreak of covid amongst the fetid homeless, who basically live in their own sewer, of San Francisco?
...Yeah me either.

Blah, blah, blah. Wah, wah. Why do they pass out doctorates to idiots? I'm so sick of hearing about the misfortunes of black and brown people that I may move out of the country myself. They are more than half of essential workers? It's more like they continue to socialize in large groups and infect themselves. It's not my fault!

One of the bluest states in the crumbling union, with every handout imaginable, and still they're making excuses. Will there come a day when Black and Brown people decide to shoulder some responsibility for their own well-being?
