Teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg has endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. “I never engage in party politics. But the upcoming US elections is above and beyond all that,” Thunberg tweeted. “From a climate perspective it’s very far from enough and many of you of course supported other candidates. But, I mean…you know…damn! Just get organized and get everyone to vote #Biden”(Snip for tweet) Thunberg has become an outspoken figure, drawing much media attention since leading school strikes in her home country of Sweden in 2018. She won Time’s Person of the Year award and was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2019.

This 15 year old did not think of all the conditions in the world (real or imagined) by herself, she didn't have the research skills to do that on a computer and she didn't have access to information at her fingertips. Democrats delegitimize the Supreme Court

“It is a decision of the Supreme Court,” Rep. Nancy Pelosi said in 2005, speaking about the eminent domain ruling in Kelo v. New London. “If Congress wants to change it, it will require legislation of a level of a constitutional amendment. So this is almost as if God has spoken.” This florid reverence for the high court ought not be lost on the reader, especially given where Pelosi and other Democrats find themselves today. As the Senate prepares to confirm President Trump’s third Supreme Court nominee, they have begun to say outright that the nomination and confirmation procedure outlined in the U.S. Constitution is illegitimate.

The Democratic Senate candidate in Kansas came out in support of Australian-style gun confiscation during a campaign event last weekend. When asked about adding a training requirement to the state's gun-carry permit application process, Democrat Barbara Bollier said U.S. gun-control measures do not go far enough. After noting that she has a daughter living in Australia, Bollier praised a controversial gun-confiscation program the country instituted in the 1990s. "They have no guns. They don’t allow them. They just took them all away," Bollier said with a chuckle

Mr. Biden, you have a history of cultivating disturbingly close relationships with white supremacists. As segregationists were dying off in the 1970s, you went out of your way to be pals with them, then bragged about it. You once called notorious segregationist Senator Strom Thurmond “one of my closest friends.” In 1988, when you were mounting a run for president that collapsed when your multiple acts of plagiarism came to light, you deployed a dog whistle when you bragged that the arch-racist former Alabama governor George Wallace had given you a leadership award in 1973.

It is worth taking a second look at Bret Stephens’s extensive takedown of the New York Times‘s egregious 1619 Project on Friday. My understanding from a longtime Times person I know is that one of the unwritten rules is that you never criticize a colleague in print—especially on the editorial pages. And yet Stephens names names and takes prisoners: Those concerns came to light last month when a longstanding critic of the project, Phillip W. Magness, noted in the online magazine Quillette that references to 1619 as the country’s “true founding” or “moment [America] began” had disappeared from the digital display copy without explanation.

Happy Columbus Day. There, I said it. And I mean it. I don’t wish you a solemn Columbus Day, nor a mournful one, nor still a guilty one. No, I wish you a happy Columbus Day. It’s a day to celebrate the contributions of Italian-Americans to our nation’s history. That was the original intent behind the holiday, after all, to elevate Italians at a time when they still faced marked bigotry. But more than that, it’s a day to celebrate a man whose example of courage and determination we need, as they say, now more than ever. Christopher Columbus wasn’t just the man most responsible for opening up the New World

It’s starting to look like the states never should have ratified the 25th Amendment to begin with. At least not the part that deals with a dysfunctional president. Certainly it’s hard to imagine a scheme more nefarious than the one that Speaker Nancy Pelosi is advancing. In one of those crises the Democrats don’t like to let go to waste, it would turn over the task of removing an elected president to a panel of — wait for it — psychiatrists. Mrs. Pelosi’s plan has nothing to do with President Trump’s case of Covid, contrary to what she suggested in her mincing press conference on Thursday.

The Center for American Progress claims that recent policy changes at the Department of Homeland Security “could potentially undo the gains that DACA recipients have made.” Yes — and water is wet. No one doubts that those granted temporary lawful status under the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program benefited. After all, they weren’t deported. But what the CAP study ignores is that those gains often come at the expense of U.S. workers and taxpayers. Some background is important. Without any constitutional or statutory authority to do so, President Barack Obama in 2012 directed DHS to create the DACA program.
