Just when you thought they had reached the outer limits of crazy, you realize that this is Demonrats in California, taking it to a whole new level. When I go to a restaurant, the mask is my passport to the table. It is off instantly and permanently as I eat and talk with my friends. It then goes on for a few seconds as I exit, coming off at the door.

A week ago or so I saw a young woman in the park eating with her mask on. There was no one sitting near her and her bench was yards away from the foot path yet she kept her mask on while eating her lunch. She sort of snuck the food under the mask rather than taking it off. I admit to being rude and staring but I couldn't help myself, it was such a bizarre sight.

Restaurants should be required to provide table monitors to enforce the rule. I suggest one monitor for every three tables plus an "at large" monitor to follow customers to and from the restrooms. Monitors would be provided the establishments expense while providing revenue for the state by issuing citations to offenders. After all, chewing w/o a mask, endangers us all.

This is irresponsible. If you don't have the virus, the inside of your mask is not what is at issue, but the outside of the mask, which you'd be now touching, is where the virus may be. I wonder what they'll do when students, or teachers, or anyone in government has the normal cold and flu? Will they ensure they're all sent home and quarantined until they are healthy again too?

Hunter Biden laptop scandal — Even if Joe Biden wins, there's no way out now 17 replies

Thanks to Hunter Biden, there's no way out for his father. Even if Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee, is elected president, damning evidence will continue to emerge that his grifter-son fully embraced the Washington tradition of shameless influence-peddling. If nothing else, Hunter is a monument to greed. An ellipse should be erected in his honor. But the unresolved and trenchant questions are: how much did Joe Biden know and to what extent was he involved in the illicit (if not illegal) schemes?

Rightly so. With only 11 days until the election, the president and his Democratic rival squared off once again. The setup was different, with mute buttons that prevented the unchecked interruptions that wrecked their first encounter.

In the Trump era, the U.S. electorate has become less divided by race. That might read like a typo. Throughout the 2016 campaign, pundits (including myself) posited that Donald Trump’s nomination would deepen the Republican Party’s woes with Black and Hispanic voters while potentially gaining the party some aggrieved white voters who had been deaf to its past nominees’ racial dog whistles — but could hear the billionaire’s foghorn loud and clear. Summarizing the conventional wisdom of four years ago, Peter Beinart wrote in The Atlantic that “by stigmatizing undocumented immigrants, Republicans have catalyzed the Latino cohesion that could be their undoing.” The election returns told a different story.
