The critical and expensive Senate race in North Carolina, central to determining which party controls the upper chamber, was thrown into uncertainty this weekend.
Within the span of just a few hours on Friday, Republican incumbent Thom Tillis announced that he had tested positive for the coronavirus, while his Democratic challenger, Cal Cunningham, acknowledged and apologized for exchanging sexually suggestive text messages with a woman who is not his wife. Tillis has “mild symptoms,” a spokesperson said Saturday, and the diagnosis forced the first-term senator to cancel in-person events with just one month until the election.

Apparently getting mildly sick is comparable to having an extramarital affair with another married person.

SOP for Dems. A paramour as arm candy
Interestingly, social distancing isn’t all it’s cracked up to be!

And this is why they push early voting...
I’m not a huge fan of Thom Tillis, but a Democrat will NEVER get my vote, in person, on Election Day.

Another clear example that FOX News is more and more anti-Republican. This Article is a - not so subtle - attack on Republican Thom Tillas. Thom having caught COVID-19 is not throwing this Senate race in chaos. It's an absurd insinuation that Thom will lose votes because he will be mildly ill for a week of so. it's temporary. But It's not absurd that Democrat Cal Cunningham will lose votes because of his sexting stupidity. Cal's stupidity is not temporary.

Tom Tillis is another victim of the targeted strike by the Corona Virus.
Wow. What a coincidence.

Compile enough media cliches for an hour and you'll have a lifetime supply.
'Thrown into uncertainty' is an especially odious one. There is no uncertainty. None. One is mildly ill and will recover quickly. One is a Bill Clinton acolyte by party and personality. There is definitely no 'chaos.' The sun rose and will set. Both names are on the ballot. Both are already receiving votes and will continue to do so.
Media selling panic is old and tiresome.

And, here's the other thing, all these Republicans who caught the Chicom virus (whether by rallies or whether by Marxist operatives in the WH) will have Chicom flu antibodies and be far less likely to catch the existing strains again, unlike the the Marxists. That little tidbit is being ignored because Marxists have to blame Trump rallies and irresponsibility of not wearing cough burkas to get fidiots to vote for the Marxists.

It's not "chaos" it's unfortunate. The good news is that Tillis should recover two weeks before the election. Democrats never recover from their vile sicknesses but nobody who votes for them seems to notice.

Infidelity, whether real or politically manufactured, is only toxic to Republicans. Democrats seem to be immune.

And yet, leftist NC newspapers like the Jacksonville Daily News won't even mention the sexting issue; pretending it never happened after giving front page glowing reviews to Cunningham.

Wise Ldotters abound! CV-19 is temporary. Stupid is forever. True. Cunningham is Clinton-lite. True. FOX news is anti-Republican. True. God is in control. True.
Get in on the blessings by praying for President Trump. Even if you only pray once.

I have yet to read anything that alleges that the candidate had an extramarital relationship. The new reporting and commentary seems to focus on the fact that he exchanged suggestive messages with the woman. Does anyone believe he was not having sex with this woman? That all he was doing was sending suggestive messages to her? OH PLEASE!!!

The Wuhan flu shouldn't be too big a deal if the Senator is given the Regeneraon monoclonal antibody treatment. If anyone has contact with Tillis in any way, urge them to INSIST on getting what Trump got, ASAP to keep Tillis healthy.

Interesting, Cal Cunningham chose to emulate Anthony Weiner by sexting. Thom Tillis had the misfortune of catching Covid-19. Trying to say one is equivalent to the other just shows how out of wack things currently are in politics.

Someone on another post came up with a great ad forTillis.
Get an actor and actress (with NC accents) to be sitting at a cast reading of the texts between Cunningham and his also-married aide whom he was sexting. Do a couple lines and then one turns to the other and says something, "Oh c'mon, this is weird. I'm not sure I could do this without laughing or crying. How can we elect this guy to the Senate."

Why does a person have to publicly declare they are positive for Covid? Do you publicly declare you have high blood pressure? Arthritis? Migraine headaches? Medical test results are private information. Why release this information?

While at the VERY LEAST 99.5% survive the virus, it is ridiculous to imply it has any effect on the election. Stupid.
I am sure survival is more like 99.8% when you count the deaths correctly. The stupid doctor said my 95 year old father who died of old age, died of COVID even though be had NO symptoms and was already on his way out from age-related brain shrinkage. The doctor refused to change his death certificate. Sickening...

Well Cal is certainly a strapping man and to have his hotel key would be quite a souvenir.
That being said, what would possess a man in the public eye to be so stoopid? This was happening concurrently with his race. They say he was Airborne in the Army. More like air head.

The politicians of either political party had nothing to do with creating COVID-19, the Chinese Communists did that, and COVID just happened to those politicians, and will probably infect just about everybody before the pandemic recedes.
