So has the queen about had it with
Meghan and Harry over that latest political stunt?

Much as the celebrity cash-and-politics antics of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry disgust us, it appears they disgust Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, even more. Here's what Breitbart reported: The decision by Los Angeles-based Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to wade into the upcoming U.S. election by offering voting advice was a “violation” of their “Megxit” deal with the Queen and could further jeopardise their links to the monarchy, it was claimed Sunday by senior royal aides. According to the Times newspaper, courtiers have been canvassing how the royal household could separate itself further from the pair.

Meghan (aka Rachel) Markle made herself scare when Donald Trump came for an official visit because Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, who was among the entourage, was a former client of Markle's during her days as a "yacht girl" (aka a prostitute on a boat), according to the gossip pages. And a recent Daily Mail article (which I can no longer find) says Prince Charles (aka the British taxpayers) are covering 95% of the Markle's lavish expenses.

Harry has military training- he will get on fine.. Meghan will dump him the minute financial help is finished..

As we tune in today ( cue up that lousy organ music ), we find that Sparkle Farkle Markle and Prince Harkle have been playing a game of chicken with The Queen. No contest, The Queen always wins. ALWAYS. The Dukette can control the Duke, a wimp, but she cannot control the monarchy. Will Sparkle Farkle be content to be known as a one time Dukette ? Will Prince Harkle be able to deal with the major screaming fit to be thrown by Sparkle Farkle when she's no longer " royalty" ? And what about leverage baby Arkle ? Will he be on this years Christmas card? For the answer to these and other burning questions tune in tomorrow, or next week or next month for another chapter of " The Unmerry Wife of Windsor " now appearing all over the known world for cold cash, thanks to Netflix.

Chances are the Queen will not consider any sort of adverse action against the Harry and Meghan show until after the US general election. If President Trump wins the election, only then will the Queen make her move. If Biden wins all will be forgotten.

"and could further jeopardise their links to the monarchy" How can they jeopardize links that the couple very publicly renounced? Or did they? Does this mean the Brits will have to go to the polls again to decide whether they really want Brexit? (Another breakup that seems to have required repeated approvals.)

Joe Biden was in some kind of foul, putrid mode at the debate last night. Many people have cited memorable lines from the contentious political slugfest, but the lines that stand out to me are the grotesquely disrespectful ad hominem insults Biden directed at the president of the United States. The transcript shows tons of them: "He's a fool on this." "Everybody knows he's a liar." "Will you shut up, man?" "Keep yapping, man." "He's the racist." "He's Putin's puppy." "He never keeps his word." "Well, it's hard to get any word in with this clown." "You're the worst president America has ever had." What kind of argument for 'civility' and 'decency' and

Apparently, nothing is sacred with Meghan Markle and her man-on-the-string, Prince Harry. After telling us how privacy-obsessed they were, with Harry weeping sob stories about his mom and the papparazzi, and even suing some media companies for their intrusions, as well as leaving their high-vis rented mansion in the Hollywood Hills for more sedate (but pricier) Montecito, they've now decided to go full frontal, back for the cameras, making themselves the stars of some reality TV. No kidding, it's a project with Netflix cameras following them around. Seems they like themselves those cameras. According to the Daily Mail:

It's now a Zoom thing without the leg business. And in this case, it led to a very unexpected outcome:

According to the Centers for Disease Control’s latest data, released six days ago, shows that, through Aug. 29, predicted excess deaths have moved below the threshold for excess deaths. (See chart below.) When we last wrote about this, after total deaths had for months exceeded the threshold, the two numbers were moving closer. Was this a slip of the lip or a forthright acknowledgment of reality? Whatever the underlying psychology, during a "virtual address" (i.e., a video call like Zoom) to a group of Hispanic small business–owners in Arizona on Saturday, the junior senator from California spoke of "a Harris administration together with Joe Biden":

Chris Wallace, the moderator of the first presidential debate Tuesday night, insists he will try to remain “as invisible as possible.” That would certainly be a welcome change from his performance in the final 2016 debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. A lot of Democrats no doubt assume Wallace will go too easy on the president simply because he hosts a talking-heads show for the “conservative” Fox News network. But Wallace is not an admirer of Trump. Nor is he above gotcha questions and phony “fact checks.” It was Wallace, you will probably recall, who pompously lectured Trump as follows during that last 2016 debate:

Chris Wallace’s overt defense of Joe Biden throughout the debate on Tuesday night was so obvious, so blatant, he should be proscribed from ever “moderating” a debate again. Wallace’s performance was as Biden’s protector, his advocate, and that is undeniable. He stepped in at every moment Biden seemed lost: court-packing, lack of support of law enforcement, and Hunter’s criminality. The debate was so poorly managed. The questions were designed to aid Biden, to coddle him. No wonder Trump felt duty-bound to interrupt. Trump was debating both Wallace and Biden and only one of them is sentient.

“Two weeks to flatten curve.” Remember that? It was several months ago now. The deal elected officials struck with the American people was to trade lockdowns for hospital capacity. The fear in the early days of the COVID pandemic was that hospital capacity would be overwhelmed if we didn’t lock down, curb activity, and so forth. So we got “two weeks to flatten the curve.” New York City built a hospital into its Javits Convention Center. President Trump sent a Navy hospital ship to handle the expected caseload.
