Actress and 'Defund the police' activist Alyssa Milano was quick to call cops when she believed an armed gunman was on her Bell Canyon property on Sunday morning. The call ignited a response that included seven Ventura County Sheriffs' vehicles, one K-9 unit, a police helicopter and one Los Angeles Fire Department team that sat down the street on standby. (Snip) Alyssa Milano's gate sat open with law enforcement guarding the entire perimeter of the street, as these DailyMail.com photos show. The only issue I have here (speaking as someone who would not watch "Charmed" or "Who's the Boss?" reruns if they were the only t.v available for all eternity simply because she is in them) is why the police showed up at all: we hear constantly from store owners in various cities whose plans are being ransacked and they call and no police arrive. Why this DIMBO gets police protection ia beyond me. She wants to defund (a) and can afford her own security (b). Another "glamorous" hypocrite of the first order!!!!!!!!!!!

Props to the often maligned DM for publishing this story. I was wondering why the LAFD responded to a Ventura County incident. At first I dismissed it as typical DM carelessness, but the truck does kind of look like it has "Los Angeles" on it's rear doors. It turns out that Bell Canyon is a privately owned community within Ventura County that has established its own services district, and it contracts with the City of Los Angeles for paramedic services. It also contracts with the Highway Patrol for traffic services. I guess the Ventura Sheriffs Office responds to armed intruder incidents. https://www.ventura.lafco.ca.gov/wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files/pdf/MSR/BellCanyonMSRFinal.pdf It looks like a very pretty area.

Facebook is banning all QAnon accounts from its platforms as part of its move to block “militarized social movements” from operating and organizing online, the social media giant announced Tuesday. The move, which also extends to Instagram, represents the company’s strongest response yet to the controversial online right-wing conspiracy movement that has increasingly inserted itself into the nation’s political discourse. “Starting today, we will remove Facebook pages, groups, and Instagram accounts for representing QAnon,” the company said in a press release. “We’re starting to enforce this updated policy today and are removing content accordingly, but this work will take time and will continue in the coming days and weeks.”
