about Ginsburg’s ’tragic’ death

The insufferable Chris Wallace of Fox News kept referring to the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as “tragic” on yesterday’s edition of Fox News Sunday. While I am full of sympathy for her family, loved ones, and friends who all have lost someone they deeply mourn, I cannot see how her death is “tragic” -- unless one is a partisan Democrat fearing loss of control of the Supreme Court. (snip) We should all be so lucky as to live so long, receive the best medical care in the world, and be surrounded by family as we shuffle off this mortal coil

Justice Ginsburg's death wasn't tragic. She had a long life with a family who loved her and good friends on all the political spectrum. I still hope that she met Justice Scalia and he said, "See Ruth, I was right". The death of a young and innocent person is tragic.

Truth. I lost both my parents when they reached a ripe old age. It was sad, I miss them; but, never thought of it as tragic. They lived amazing lifes too.

I agree. She must have been partisan as she held onto her seat until the end in order to prevent Pres. Trump from appointing another justice.

Herman Caine recently passed.
And, his dying wish was that Donald Trump get another four year term as President.

"Every man's death diminishes me". This one seems to have mentally diminished the Left to a point of irrational incoherence.

Justice Ginsburg, who could have retired a decade ago and been replaced by a certifiable leftist on the Court, got greedy. She got to serve ten years extra, but failed in her gamble that a Democrat would choose her successor. Tough stuff. (She succeeded Justice Byron "Whizzer" White, JFK's lone SCOTUS choice, who was a conservative in most ways, so her seat will revert back to conservative, as it was before. Her seat doesn't belong to the Left.)
It's insulting to call her death, although it was sad for those who loved her, a tragedy. She lived a long and full life. I lost my parents in 2015 and March 2020. Sad but not tragic. They also lived into their late 80s, enjoying good, complete lives.

Its tragic that she was so self centered. Typical liberal. The conservatives need to leave FOX and either partner with OAN/Breibart/Lucianne/CFP or form an their own network. Forget the fair and balanced. Give the left an actual network to hate. I laugh when I get the standard....."It's obvious you only watch FOX news." If they only knew......

Why is RBG being worshipped as some sort of super being. She favored killing innocent children in the womb, worked feverishly to destroy the constitution, politically used her position to promote partisan politics. In the Scriptures, Aaron had two sons who brought strange fire before the Lord. They were punished with death. Aaron was told by God to not mourn for them. I will not mourn for RBG's death.

Her death was not tragic. She was 87 years old and had beaten cancer five times before. Tragic is the death of a young mother or a child. Ruth had a long and eventful life. Her children were grown and no one was dependent on her. It was only tragic for those who wanted her to stay on the court until a Democrat could replace her.

She was 87!
87 years on this planet is extraordinary for anyone, not to mention she had survived many often fatal illnesses thanks in no small part to the stellar healthcare this nation and her exalted position provides.
I'll save my tears for the countless unnamed, uncared-for victims of BLM/Antifa terrorists that Chris and his sorry ilk do not even deign to acknowledge.

She is most praised for her willingness to rule contrary to her obligation to uphold the constitution. I have a difficult time celebrating her "accomplishments."
As for her as any other human, any death is a loss to the family but when someone has had such a long run it's the best death life has to offer.

#1, I don’t think that Ginsburg and Scalia are currently occupying the same afterlife.

What did Obama say?
Sometimes it's better (for the health care system) if you just take the pain pill.
What did Zeke Emmanuel say?
After 75 you shouldn't be getting extensive health care, just palliative care.
So why say her death was "tragic?"
Her health care providers bent over backwards for her already metastasized cancer.
Their extra care allowed her to live years longer than they would allow you or me to live had we the same situation.
Sorry she died, but this is true.

It’s times like these when I wish the language police were real. What is tragic about her death? She was old. She lived a long and successful life. Chris Wallace, words jade meaning. You make your living using them. You should be embarrassed.

I remember Chris's old leftist father... the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. This Wallace is not too smart either... it is really, really stupid to undermine the legally elected leader of the greatest free nation on earth. Chris's narcissism shows.

At least Ginsberg had 87 long years on earth, that’s more than you can say for the millions of babies she voted to snuff out before they began. Who knows what potential they may have brought to the world. A cure for cancer, a beautiful novel, a love song, a new life-saving invention, a brilliant Supreme Court justice??

I learned when my mother died that hey, the way life is supposed to be, is that you bury your parents, hopefully at a time when they have had a long and fruitful life.
Justice Ginsburg, although I disagree with her judicial philosophy, certainly did live a long and fruitful life. I join with her friends and family in grief in their loss and celebration of her extraordinary life.
But tragic? Tragic is burying your kids. Tragic is (as happened in my family), pulling your 23 year old dead, lifeless son out of the swimming pool. Tragic (as happened to my mother and father before I was born) is burying your 8 year old son who died of liver failure. Tragic is those 3000 families who lost their loved ones on 911.
That is tragic.

The millions of aborted babies old Ruthie claimed was a right is the tragedy.
That old Ruthie was born and not aborted so as to save those innocent souls is a tragedy.
The life of that one monster would have been worth it.

Death is a fact of life. It happens to all of us at some point; it is inevitable (unless the Rapture occurs before I finish typing this).
Those of us who've accepted our Lord's gift of salvation know that death is definitely not tragic and will hold no fear for us.
But from Ruthie's current vantage point it could very well be tragic....for her.

No mention pf the millions of innocent unborn babies.
No mention of a single significant "landmark" decision
Charter member of the losing side in the 5-4 decision.
She spent the last 3 years in a medicated semi-coma that obviously overshadowed any integrity that would have had her choose the right thing and retire.
Legacy? Pop culture icon, Go-To talk show guest
T-Shirt celebrity that briefly overtakes Che Guevara in sales.

What is truly tragic is what happened to Fox News. No more Joe DiGenova and his wife Victoria Tensing, etc. Just started watching Newsmax now that's it's in HD. So far so good. And the women reporters/hosts don't dress up or wear the makeup of a street walker - they dress and present themselves as professional career women.
RBG lived a long life, enjoyed career and financial success above and beyond the average citizen, etc. Too bad that in all her years on the appeals court and the Supremes, she never found it in her to hire a black intern or clerk.
