With Bob Woodward’s anti-Trump book about to be published, the media is focusing entirely on the easily debunked claim that Trump mishandled the Wuhan virus by “lying” to the American people. What the media is ignoring, however, is a much more serious claim, which is that former Secretary of Defense General James Mattis plotted to overthrow Trump and his administration. This fact, if true, supports my long-time fear about the damage Obama inflicted on the upper echelons of the Pentagon. (snip) It began to be clear last October that the Obama administration (with some help from Bill Clinton’s presidency) had seeded the Pentagon with leftist generals

As I recall Obama purged the military of all the patriots he could identify, leaving it infested with communist political rot. Back during the Klinton years we used to say that that everyone colonel and above was a politician, not a leader.

It's time for you Mr. President to clean house. This means all of Obama's boys need to see an early retirement. I mean ALL of his people, every general, admiral, and SES. These people work at the pleasure of the President and it's time for them to go.

The speck of cancer started from Clinton and became malignant when Doorknob Hussein and Ashtray Hillary came into power. If Trump loses this election, America will follow the path of Rome, Greece, Babylon and finally meet Sodom and Gomorrah.

I had heard, that the Obama regime eas very concerned about the possibility of civil unrest or uprising by patriots. They were more concerned that the military would either not engage or outright side with the patriots.
Thus the upper ranks were purged and replaced by men who feelz.

In times of peace, generals have always been politicians first. And since most come up during Obama, we know what kind they are.

Obama infiltrated and stacked all of government with his communist cronies, not some of the military. They need to be cleaned out completely.

Hopefully, Trump has a few top Military in The Pentagon that he can trust. He should put them in charge of making a list of those who will work against our President and give it to Trump NOW! Immediately after receiving that List, Trump should "retire" all of those who are openly against him. I'm sure there will be others who haven't let their feelings (about Trump) known and they will be found out sooner or later. At least Trump will have started the Purge and those who are left will have been sent a message from Trump! Trump IS in Charge!!

I think we need to stop thinking of Obama as an individual with his own agenda. I have frequently written of how Obama turned the IRS, FBI, NSA, CIA against the American people as his private goon squads, then I asked what makes us think he wasn't doing the same with the military. My miscalculation was in implying that Obama was in control. It is far bigger than Barry, he was just a bit player,a cardboard cutout with a velvet voice Now they run an even more malleable pile of goo. "They" are the swamp which is part of the one world global communist network.

Some of us opposed the naming of Mattis as SecDef, but many saw "Mad Dog" as some sort of savior, a cross between Patton and MacArthur willing to roll over America's adversaries. There is a very clear tradition of civilian control of our military, and the nomination of retired senior/flag officers for the job is contrary to that tradition. There is a reason there should never be such as General Mattis ever placed in the SecDef's office. It's about civilian versus military loyalties. Putting on a suit doesn't make it a transition.

It's not just the politicized flag officers in the military, it's a good portion of the civilian command structure in the Pentagon. I was totally shocked that the Secretary of the Army, I believe, contradicted the President on possible use of our troops in the recent riots. Not just that he said it, but that he is still in that position. HUGE mistake. That was open rebellion against our Commander-in-Chief. He should have been immediately removed and replaced.
We cannot tolerate such open rebellion in our command structure for the military. That becomes fertile ground for future coups...which the Democrats are now publicly plotting and lining up co-conspirators for.

As in Love Story, being a general means ... never having to say you're sorry.
The Military Industrial Complex has taken over their priorities and principles. They have become vociferous in their discontent with President Trump wanting to bring home the troops. Surprise surprise, they may get the income spigot from their favorite defense contractors shut off. So they're banding together....Brothers in arms style.
Mattis and Kelly are two examples. Right now I heard Mattis is suggesting that President Trump should be removed from office collectively. We know what that means and that is pure treason. Lock them up!

It’s going to be interesting how Coats and Mattis try to worm out of the serious sedition allegation made against them in the Woodward book.
You better believe that President Trump learned a big lesson from his early decisions bringing career three and four star retired generals into his administration and placing them in high level appointed political positions. Those generals for years in the military were entirely used to receiving one answer “Yes, Sir” anytime they issued any instruction or order as they were able to simply get rid of any subordinate who said or did anything contrary to those general’s instructions or orders. But in politics, especially in high level White House appointed political positions it does not work that way as they are almost always going to receive opposition or resistance to just about anything they propose, sometimes from the elected President, and most times from Members of Congress, high level bureaucrats, and the always there special interests. Clearly those retired generals could not survive in such a openly political environment as they are all gone.
The watchword for Trump from now on should be stay away from retired Admirals and Generals who are almost all connected in some way to the so-called Military-Industrial Complex, including transitioning into high level jobs in those defense industries after they retire from military service. Those defense industries are all in business to make as much money for their investors as possible, and to do that they must lobby politicians both civilian and military, to ensure that the US and Allied militaries stay involved in all sorts of endless foreign wars in order to sell them as much military related products as possible. The problem is that is not in keeping with Trump’s political agenda. While Trump has always been in favor of the USA having the strongest defense possible, he has always been and is against the US military being sent to engage in the endless Middle East Wars that have little or nothing to do with the legitimate national defense of the USA, and has always been for disengaging the US military from those endless foreign wars and bringing the troops home.

Add Admiral James Stavridis (ret.) to Andrea's list. Former European Supreme Commander, he's now an executive with the Carlyle Group (owners of United Defense) and was on the list of 2016 dem VP candidates. Has an eerie resemblance to Bezos, too.
During the nightmare years of 2009-2016, there were almost-weekly headlines in the Navy Times about commanding officers getting sacked. I remember one poor guy who got canned for drinking vodka with his Russian hosts at a command function. There was a definite purge and it's going to take four years of unbridled action to fix things in the military bureaucracy.

Most average GI's know that once a member of their ranks gets above a certain command level, it is all politics. It has been that way since at least Vietnam. Obama simply put that mindset on steroids and got rid of any America loving command rank people he could find and replaced them with his own minions. Even Clinton didn't do stuff this bad. He was bad sure. But he knew where the line was and very carefully stayed behind it for the most part.
So what is in the command level ranks is foul, treacherous, and most likely willing to commit sedition/treason if the price is right.

#13: Mattis was/is an egotistical jack wagon. He refused to send help to wounded
American soldiers, saying that he didn’t know the facts. In war, one never knows all the facts. Two men, as I recall, died because of the delay. The USAF units, from farther away went to pick up the survivors.
Mattis is/was an inflated phony.

The military brass are all political just like our politicians. Consider our Presidents for the last 28 years: All globalists, and one that had a much more leftist view for America. The Bushes and Clintons were globalists. Obama had a much more critical view of America. It would be reflected in who they appointed. Many of our military brass are globalists and anti-American leftists.
Along comes Trump who runs counter to all of them. Its already been documented that Trump would not let the generals run things especially if his views differed from theirs. Trump has very different views from our military brass.
In many ways Trump is alone in Washington. His politics are quite different from our career politicians on both sides of the aisle.

More thoughts...
Not sure if they will actually ever overthrow Trump. Think about it for a minute. They don't want to see a couple million armed Americans showing up to defend the President. How many tens of millions of Americans would not accept the coup? Would all the governors go along? Would all the military go along with the coup? Maybe the brass, but not necessarily the troops. Would other nations accept the new leadership? It would also serve as a green light for China, Russia, and Iran to run wild with their plans while the US is pre-occupied with internal matters.
It is far from certain a coup would succeed. Hopefully these people are actually smarter than they appear to be.

Obama fired a bunch of flag officers, and passed a bunch through. THAT was a really, really scary thing.
We now have a lot of "Obama approved" flag officers. That should be a reason to be fired, right there.
