Portland, Ore., Mayor Ted Wheeler says he’s looking for a new place to live. Wheeler’s disclosure came Tuesday in an email to other residents of the high-rise condominium building in the city’s Pearl District where he resides, which has been a frequent site of protests in recent months, OregonLive.com reported. “I want to express my sincere apologies for the damage to our home and the fear that you are experiencing due to my position,” Wheeler wrote, according to an image of the email that was sent to the news outlet.

The real truth, the residents told him to take his crap somewhere else and live. They are tired of this along with the rest of the people in Portland.

The damage is what occurs when you don't deter criminals by arresting and prosecuting them. Forest fires can be prevented by putting small flames out early. Putting politics before the people has hazardous results. The guy should try reading some bumper stickers.

Shades of the idiot Seattle mayor who allowed her “Summer of Love” in CHAZ/CHOP to go on until the thugs showed up at her house. The alligator always gets to the appeaser in the end. I’d say that these mayors should have learned from history, but they’ve never read or studied history. I also would bet that the powers that be on the left have ordered him to stop the riots since they aren’t polling well for the demonrats. I wonder how Antifa and BLM will like being told to stand down by the establishment dems in DC. I’m thinking that it won’t go well and expect the rioting to increase as 11/3 draws nearer. The left can’t walk this one back.

How quickly can we raise funds for a wall stretching from Mexico to Canada, sealing California, Oregon and Washington into their own little love nest? No trade, no communication, no immigration except for other blue state residents who are moving and want an even worse home but with no option to return. Sorry, my sympathy level has steadily dropped and is now asymptotically approaching zero. Ted Wheeler encouraged these rage-mongers, he undermined his police and refused to prosecute those that were arrested, and now the whirlwind has brought as harvest that which he sowed. Karma be a witch. Wheeler's not the only wind sower, though. The people of Portland have been electing Wheeler, and leftists just like him, for decades. Overwhelmingly, smugly, self-righteously electing. I object to the use of a single one of my tax dollars to rescue them from their own ideological choices.

We have even tried to get the state divided at the mountains, but the western part of Washington out votes us on that. At least we were able to get it into the constitution that it takes more than just a majority to get new taxes passed. And Olympia keeps trying to get income tax passed but can’t.

I suspect that he hasn't gotten any message. Ted 'hot wheels' Wheeler is too stupid to pick up on anything like that. I am with #1, I suspect the other residents told him to skedaddle. Pearl District is one of the most elite and high priced neighborhoods in Portland. They would not want him bringing his 'friends' to their building. I cannot blame them. He and Brown need to be put out to pasture permanently. What I am hoping is he has destroyed any chances he might have thought he had in a future run for governor.

Biden’s Laughable Pivot 5 replies

Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden has sat silent while roving bands of outlaws tore American cities to shreds. He said nothing when an Antifa leader in Portland called for “the abolition of the United States as we know it.” His own vice-presidential pick, Kamala Harris, grinned as she warned that the riots are “not gonna stop. And they should not.” Until about five minutes ago, Harris and Biden thought they could use the Marxist revolutionaries of BLM and Antifa as their own pet militia. They thought that once the brownshirts had made a hellscape of America, they could come sailing in to convince voters

Amid riots, looting and violence in the streets, Goya Foods' CEO says polling showing President Trump's support rising among Latinos is because immigrants arriving in America seeking opportunity don't come to "tear things down, cancel things." After the 2016 election, The Atlantic noticed exit polls analyzed by the Pew Research Center showed that 28% of Latino voters supported Trump, and that figure had risen to 30% support as of February.

After a summer of seemingly unending chaos in America’s cities, Kenosha just may have been the tipping point. For three nights, the city burned in rioting after the officer-involved shooting of Jacob Blake, while Democratic governor Tony Evers refused to deploy a Wisconsin National Guard contingent large enough to quell the violence. For three days, Evers issued inflammatory statement after inflammatory statement — even going so far as to say that a Kenosha police officer “mercilessly” shot Blake — and refused to either condemn the violence or urge calm. Laughably, the sternest warning he gave rioters was to remind them to “wear your mask and keep social distance as best you can.”

I expect that President Trump will be re-elected in November. The Democrats apparently expect that as well. At least, the Democratic Party web site Axios does. Thus, Axios is warning the party’s faithful that President Trump is likely to win–apparently–on November 3. But never fear: weeks remain in which the Democrats can harvest fake ballots! A top Democratic data and analytics firm told “Axios on HBO” it’s highly likely that President Trump will appear to have won — potentially in a landslide — on election night, even if he ultimately loses when all the votes are counted.
