NFL end zones will be inscribed this season with two slogans: “It Takes All Of Us” on one end line, “End Racism” on the other. As part of its social justice awareness initiatives, the NFL also will allow similar visuals on helmets and caps.Previously announced were decals on the back of helmets, or patches on team caps, displaying names or phrases to honor victims of racism and/or police brutality. “Each player will have the option to honor an individual by displaying that person’s name via a decal on the back of their helmet,” the memo said,

Haven't watched a NFL game in decades. Our house follows a few college teams and a couple of local high schools. Friday night at the local stadium is a nice way to spend a Fall evening. Give it a try if you haven't been to a hometown football game in awhile.

Step by step, driving away more and more fans. Suicide by an entire sports league.
Literal insanity.
A good friend's wife is a close relative of Jordie Nelson, and I followed his impressive career because of that. I am really glad that a genuinely nice guy like Jordie could get his millions and get safely retired before the league committed suicide. He put a lot of his money into his farm in central Kansas and is now doing what his family has always done and loved, farming. He got clear just in time.
The NFL is self-destructing.

Given the despicable discrimination against participation by Asians and Native Americans by NFL teams, I refuse to watch the exhibitions put on by such a blatantly racist organization.
As for going under the Friday night lights to watch local high school athletes perform on the football field, the local democrat politicians have shuttered those venues due to the Wuhan Flu scare.

operating from memory here, but didn't the Dallas Cowboys ask the league's permission to add a small '5' decal to their helmets to honor the 5 police officers who were assassinated in Dallas?
And didn't the league deny the request?

Will stadium public address systems order fans to take a knee during the national anthem, assuming its performed? If the BLM anthem is played, will the PA system demand that fans raise their fists because “silence is violence”? And will TV announcers remind us constantly to vote and to wear masks in order to implicitly support Biden? Finally, will the wealthy owners wear BLM shirts in their very comfortable skyboxes?
Only positive in this bizarre, anti-white decision is that it might stop Rush from talking endlessly about his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, one of the most gangsta like teams in the NFL.

Poster 18, I’m not sure. Even the PGA Tour issued an enlightened statement on August 27. Here is an excerpt: “The PGA TOUR made a pledge over the summer to be part of the solution, and we have been actively working to make deeper and more specific commitments to racial equity and inclusion in the communities where we play, as well as supporting national organizations within this movement that we had not previously engaged with. However, we understand that now is not the appropriate time to highlight our programs and policies, but rather to express our outrage at the injustice that remains prevalent in our country.”
In other words, the tour caved to the shakedown artists. But don’t have the nerve (now) to disclose which groups received the cash.

The non-stop racial / political drama should stop on the playing field. I didn't think racially or politically charged slogans were part of any sport. Sports were our escape from all of the current events and politics going on in the world. I didn't watch to see, and don't care what the athletes thought about a particular subject. I watched to see them play their sport. Our escape from the drama is now gone. Professional sports has become just another arm of the Democrat / liberal propaganda machine. No need to watch sports anymore.

Corporate sponsors should be shamed into advertising only on the "End Racism" end of the field. "It Takes All of Us" is weak gruel and smacks of "All Lives Matter." Oh, and players should insist on scoring touchdowns only in the "end racism" end zone.

The NFL is responding to reasonable (well founded) fear, not empathy. They have a clearer understanding of the resolve and viciousness of the people pushing this domestic terror, all cloaked in noble sounding phrases such as social justice, systemic racism, white supremacy, etc..

The NFL is done. The only racism we're suffering from exists in the sick minds of the hypocrites who are preaching about it. These communists have set our country back 100 freakin years. Everyone of these idiots refuse to talk about the real issue and that is the culture of violence that exists in the black communities and in the NFL and the NBA. You want to see real racists, let'em all look in the mirror. THEY ARE WHO THEY WANT YOU TO HATE. Got it.

I'm tired of constantly being lectured to about 'racism' and 'climate change' and how 'people of color' have a perpetually raw deal (as if no one else ever had one) all the other social ills, whether by the NFL, the pompous TV news anchors, the newspapers, the local 'activists', ad nauseum. It's enough already. If you want to play football, or any sport, then play. If you want to indulge in politics, be a politician. Not both.

I've tried to ignore their silliness. I can no longer stomach this. I would feel this way if they approached me personally and said "what slogan would you like in the end zone?" My response would be "none."
This will make no difference to them. I cut cable years ago and I only use NFL for reruns to watch good games while I work out and they're on youtube. So I guess I'll watch old games until I run out and then start over again. How weird and stupid all of this is.

Hermoine (#18), I may have stumbled onto the answer.
What do ALL these 'sports' teams have in common? They are all Entertainers.
Where do they ALL get their money?.......TELEVISION.
The 'money men' running the TV networks are pulling the strings from their safe places, hidden behind the Green Curtain.
If the TV 'money men' had told the NFL to tell Kaper-nik to 'knock it off or get lost' as soon as he disrespected the American flag, all this would have stopped IMMEDIATELY.
But they Encouraged it, and now it has infected all the 'TV' funded 'sports' ...... and let's not forget, all these 'Football Heroes' and 'Basketball Heroes' and 'Whatever Heroes' are nothing more than Performance Cast Members..... employees.... of ENTERTAINMENT companies.
Insult your customers instead of entertaining them, and they LEAVE... taking their money with them.
Like they said in the old Charlie Chan movies..... "No Tickee, No Washee", and as they say today...."Get Woke, Go Broke".
Hey TV moguls..... watch This! ......."CLICK!"
