How bad do things look for Joe Biden’s campaign right now? Consider this: Democrats are worried about Minnesota, a state no Republican presidential candidate has carried since Richard Nixon’s 1972 landslide. Yet polls show President Trump gaining ground in Minnesota, and Democrats are worried because they haven’t seen any appearances by Biden or his running mate Kamala Harris. “Why aren’t they here?” one Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party official told Minnesota Public Radio last week. “We need to hear from them. We need to see their presence on the ground.”
Biden’s peril in Minnesota is in many ways emblematic of everything that’s gone wrong for Democrats in this campaign.

In 1968 there were race riots all across the country, burning cities, violence, huge unrest. Violence by leftists at the Dem Convention in Chicago. Nightly fights between Daly's police and the leftist crazies on national TV.
Nixon wasn't all that strong a candidate, but it was clear that Humphrey wasn't going to be even remotely as strong on "law and order", and by November people were thoroughly sick of lawlessness and disorder, burning, looting and political violence. Nixon's 'law and order' campaign struck a real chord with people.
Nixon won in a near landslide - and that was the last time that Minnesota went Republican.
I think there is a good likelihood that Trump will exceed Nixon's "landslide" by a significant margin. And Nixon was not an incumbent, a big advantage that Trump has.
Nixon had 301 to 191, I think Trump can beat that by a good bit. One 'expert' who has a 90+% track record says 362-176 will be the EC score. We'll see.

Also... LBJ dropped out and the consolation prize went to Humphrey... People were sick of protests, riots, anarchy and Vietnam... It was a fun time to be alive! (Kind of like 2020)

Sleepy Uncle Joe can only go about 20 miles from home, so it seems. You know, like maybe the suburbs of Philadelphia. I'm kind of expecting the debates to be rescheduled for Joe's basement.
As for Horizontal Harris, she only knows flyover country. Only places she'll go is Washington, New York, and California.
Neither of them could find Minnesota with a guide dog, map, and GPS. Same with Wisconsin.

There is conjecture that with the exodus from NYC , New York could now be a 50/50 state. It supposes those leaving the city are not inclined to vote making it a push between upstate and downstate.

It certainly looks like a HUGE number of Republicans aren't being truthful when answering poll takers. Seriously, if someone called you at home and said they were taking a poll sponsored by ABC, CNN or MSNBC, what would you do?
Just today, there was a poll that claimed Joe Biden led President Trump by 6 points among active members of military. The pollsters had to know they were being duped and yet they still released their findings.

It depends on if MN goes with widespread vote-fraud-by-mail. If they do that then slo-joe will win, one way or another.

#5, think about that, they have your number, which likely corresponds to your address, or could be, so why would you be willing to give people the opportunity to attack you at your home.
It's been called a Silent Majority for a reason, people like to remain silent about their intentions.
After all, don't we all have a Right to Privacy?

Hillary only beat Trump by 1 1/2 percent in Minnesota in 2016. There was a LOT of scare tactics against Trump by dems in 2016; economic collapse, nuclear war, dictatorial conduct, incompetence, collusion with Russia. Even Trump's supporters weren't sure. Hillary had questionable ethics but was a familiar quantity, especially with Bill in her corner.
2020 is VERY different time. Trump has proven himself and people KNOW what he will deliver, a lot of good things and some confrontation and agitation as well. Biden is suddenly a BIG unknown. A majority of people are concerned about his mental competence. In addition, if you are troubled about the confrontation swirling around Trump, how about the rioting swirling around the dems. Could Biden stop it? Most dems don't seem concerned about it or are supportive of it, trying to paint it as justified protests. The problem is, the public does NOT buy it. A significant backlash is building.
Beyond that, the dem party is in a civil war of many factions that don't see eye to eye. Many of the dem coalition are fed up and walking away from the dems. Because of this, their flow of money and their organization is in bad shape. In contrast, the Republicans are mostly united, have money, and are VERY well organized.
Trump getting a few percent more is very likely and is probably already a reality, even if the fake polls don't show it.

I’m from the Upper Midwest and have to say that while I’m hopeful that DJT will carry Minnesota I wouldn’t bet on it. Don’t forget that while the 5th district of Mpls burned they renominated Omar for the house seat she occupies. Mpls is a hot bed of unabashed left wing goofballs. I could go on but I won’t.

Invalidate Minnesota ballots and throw Minnesota out of the United States. Minnesota is a foreign enemy of the United States.

Why does Biden need to go to Minnesota to talk to them. He'll give them the same fluff and blubber he's saying from his basement.

I believe Trump could win Minnesota. The state has a significant rural population which has been trending Republican for quite some time. It takes successive elections for some people to shed their old voting habits. Those who have been clinging to the Democrats out of habit will eventually jump on the Trump Train.

I have often said to anyone who asks who I voted for, or will vote for, it is a secret ballot. For a reason!!
