The Vatican Goes to Bat for Biden

Original Article

In 2016, the Vatican was pulling for Hillary Clinton. Just days before the presidential election, Pope Francis renewed his criticism of politicians who speak about erecting “walls.” This led Slate and other publications to run such headlines as “It Sure Sounds Like Pope Francis Doesn’t Think Americans Should Vote for Trump.” Several Francis-friendly prelates ran interference for Hillary Clinton. San Jose’s bishop, Patrick McGrath, wrote a letter to his flock in which he said that Donald Trump’s complaint of a rigged system “borders on the seditious.” According to the Italian press, many of Pope Francis’s aides viewed Trump’s victory as a “bitter defeat.”

Am I the only person who is getting sick and tired of this mediocrity incarnate? When posing for a state portrait with the President of the United States Donald Trump, he not only failed to manage a smile, he openly scowled. I despise this smug know-it-all, and I wish Pope Benedict had never resigned, leaving the way open for this crank. And just to make it clear to big-shots in the Universal Church, the fact that an American cardinal will almost certainly never be elected pope makes me want to tell the Church to take a hike, and wangle lavish donations elsewhere. Francis the Disaster is a product of Liberation Theology in South America in the 1970s. He is a truly dreadful pope, and even at the risk of offending Cathoic L-Dotters, the guy is a creep and a phony. I´m not anti-Catholic, not at all, but I know a truly terrible pope when I see one.

There is a battle between good and evil happening in our world, including in the Catholic Church. As a practicing Catholic, I say a daily prayer invoking St. Michael the Archangel to defend us in battle. I'm sure some of you other Catholics say that prayer as well.

Pope Francis is entitled to his opinion, although it is wrong. Leave him alone. And by the way, it would not help Trump electorally if the Pope supported him. So itś no skin off your nose. Worrying about it just annoys the Catholics in the coalition. Remember, the reason it took Catholics forever to join the Republican Party is that it has always been stocked to the top with anti-Catholic bigots. That was the problem. Even the Irish Catholic volunteers in the Civil War were Democrats, and the silly stuff you say today is a reminder why that was. As to substance, if you were listening you would have heard the answers already.

At Mass today, we had cards with the Election prayer. The prayer asks for courage for citizens to choose leaders respecting the sanctity of unborn humans, sanctity of marriage, sanctity of marital relations and sanctity of the family. True, not all parishes have this. But I wanted to belong to a parish that did.

My favorite prayer, #8. Hubby and I quit attending mass a few months before CV19 shut our local Catholic Church down. The fact that the Vatican openly supports the abortion party says it all. If the cardinals have enough sense to elect a conservative once Frankie is gone, I might think about going back.

What do you expect as this Pope is a socialist. No wonder the Catholic Church in the USA has been losing so many of their young family parishioners with children. Answer this question, how can a Pope back a pro abortion candidate for President of the USA, isn’t abortion still contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church? If such a Pope does not want to be thought of as attempting to influence the US Presidential Election he would steer clear of all the candidates and keep a neutral posture.

I AM a Catholic L-dotter. I am obliged to pray for Pope Francis not to accept every word out of his (lower case his) as if spoken by our Lord Himself. Francis is careless with his language and recognizing his audience and sadly he confuses the world with his populist, earth-hugging babbling. Context is everything but Francis seems to forget that what he says is often heard out of context and as literally the Truth. I think I will never understand why Benedict felt he had to abdicate.

The Lord sees into the hearts and minds of us all and that includes Frank who seems to have forgotten the One to whom he is accountable. Make no mistake; the Lord will remind him on the day Frank stands before Him. I predict an uncomfortable conversation and when it ends Frank will be herded with the rest of the goats and they will meet their god Satan in the flesh. Happy eternity, Frank. #11, why would a Catholic stop attending mass just because the current Pope is terrible?!?!?!? I hated Ovomit, but I sure didn't stop being an American while he was president. Mass is not for the Pope, it is for the person to worship and praise God. I am not Catholic, but I work very closely with a lot of Catholics in the pro-life movement. None of them like this Pope in the least. But they know it's only a matter of time and he will be gone. There have been bad popes before, but their church endured and it will again. Coverage of Joseph Kennedy III’s failed primary challenge to Senator Ed Markey has sometimes focused on its ideological implications, particularly Markey’s successful effort to position himself as a progressive champion fighting the ultimate beneficiary of name-brand privilege. But to a far greater extent, young Joe’s loss has been described as signaling the end of the family dynasty he often seemed uncomfortable representing. That feels unfair, since the Kennedy clan’s reputation for political invincibility began to slowly unravel many years ago. It’s true that Joe III’s campaign broke a long Kennedy winning streak in Massachusetts, as the Boston Globe noted:

The New Guinea Singing Dog, a dingo-like animal with a unique howling style, was considered extinct in the wild. But scientists reported Monday that the dogs live on, based on DNA collected by an intrepid and indefatigable field researcher. Their analysis, published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, showed that the dogs are not simply common village dogs that decided to try their chances in the wild. The findings not only solve a persistent, though obscure puzzle, they may shed light on the complicated and still emerging picture of dog domestication in Asia and Oceania.

The public has been subjected to coronavirus lockdowns of varying degrees for over five months and counting, but prominent Democrats have decided that they should be exempt from the restrictions everyone else must abide by. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi openly flouted these restrictions recently when she got her hair coiffed at a San Francisco salon that remains closed to the public. Local ordinances only allow for outdoor services, and Pelosi was captured on security video not wearing a mask. Despite the evidence, her spokesman declared that the speaker “always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements.”

Prompted by his pollsters, Joe Biden this week delivered a speech in Pittsburgh condemning the violence across America’s cities. The speech was laced with lies, starting with the claim that he is a racial healer. Anyone inclined to believe that should look back at the Obama-Biden administration, which was defined by race-baiting and the deterioration of race relations. Biden in effect promised that the revolution underway in America would stop if he is elected president. Never mind that he plans on bringing the revolutionaries into his administration. Should he win, he will give key positions to radicals who want to spur, not stop, the revolution.

Yet even as kindergartens everywhere remain closed, college campuses are reopening. But there’s an asterisk. Colleges, in truth, clearly have no intention of being genuinely open once they've cashed students' rent and tuition checks. Countless students have paid full tuition, room, and board. Some did so after being threatened with the loss of their place at their school. Others were promised that they could learn either while socially distanced or live on campus.
