On Friday's The Last Word on MSNBC, fill-in host Katy Tur presided over a panel discussion which placed the blame for recent rioting on President Donald Trump, and also blamed Fox News for convincing Trump voters not see him as responsible. MSNBC contributor Yamiche Alcindor -- who is also a correspondent for PBS NewsHour -- recalled that President Trump has been trying to incorporate concerns over rioting into his campaign message, and then cited new polling suggesting that independents are turning against the Black Lives Matter movement because of the "chaos." She concluded by fretting that the "peaceful message" of BLM is being "conflated" with "out of control rioters." Here was Alcindor:

She doesn't seem to realize that the reason people have been switching to Fox is because her own network has not had an honest story about Trump in 4 years. If your news source is always wrong its time to find another news source.

It’s not that Fox convinced people not to blame Trump. Its that they failed to convince people to blame Trump. It doesn’t help them that people can see in real time what is going on. And these are all liberal run cities. Facts.

I don't watch Fox news. I don't watch any network "news" as I would rather find out the truth of what is going on, without any Talking Head giving me his interpretation or narrative. I fail to see how President Trump is in any way responsible for the rioting and looting being committed by Antifa and BLM. The message they are sending is that they are lawless thugs and anarchists. The police obviously can't handle the rioting, as they are under the control of criminal mayors and governors. President Trump should invoke the Insurrection Act and call up the military, to put a stop to it with military force. .50 cal machine guns would do nicely. Should have happened as soon as they started looting and rioting.

That commie mayor of Portland was on national tv yesterday blaming Trump for the riots. It was the mayor's stupid action of telling the police to stand down to demonrat looting, arson, and thuggery. Even the Governor is at fault. Both of them refused to bring in the national guard to shut down the anarchists. Put the blame squarely where it belongs.

President Trump is not responsible for the riots and looting. The weak dimocRAT mayors and governors are. They seem to think that it is ok to loot and burn their own neighborhoods. The mayors and governors will not call for federal help and will not calling their own states National Guard to help control the rioters. Once again the lame stream media shows their cowardice in the face of the cancel culture criminals. They are afraid of losing the Bernie supporters vote.

BLM is NOT peaceful and it is the leftists who are rioting a d the Democrats who are refusing to stop the rioting. How the heck is any of that Trump's fault?? It isn't. These radicals are protesting things they believe have been a problem for centuries. Trump didn't create any of the things they are complaining about. Trump has done a lot of things to try to fix some of the few inequities that still remain in our system, like our criminal justice system (like reversing the draconian crack laws of the Clinton era that unfairly targeted blacks more than whites).

Joe Biden gave a speech in Pittsburgh on Monday. As we reported earlier, he tried to blame President Donald Trump for the riots violence despite the fact that it’s leftists behind the violence in Democratically-run cities who Trump has done everything to try to help. But there were some things beyond that that just screamed out for comment. So this apparently was Joe Biden’s audience, just media. There was no audience. Who exactly was he giving the speech to? That was bad enough. But the delivery of the speech showed the deep problems that the Democrats have with Biden.

Around 6:40 p.m. Sunday, police responded with a backup unit to the 100 block of Hamburg St. in the Sharp-Leadenhall neighborhood for report of an assault. When officers arrived, there was no victim on the scene, police said. Medics who also canvassed the scene did not locate a victim, according to an incident report. Officers later observed a “pool of blood” on a sidewalk nearby the area, according to the incident report.

Joe Biden will travel to western Pennsylvania on Monday to give remarks focused on how President Donald Trump has made America less safe, forgoing the chance to deliver that message in Wisconsin, where the president is planning a Tuesday visit. Biden faced mounting pressure to visit the battleground state amid violence after a police shooting in Kenosha. His decision to instead speak from Pennsylvania is designed to put some space between the violence and the former vice president as he continues to argue that the unrest in the city is an outgrowth of the president's rhetoric that inflames racial tensions. President Trump is going to Kenosha, Wisconsin on Tuesday. During a trip to Louisiana and Texas Saturday to survey the damage done by Hurricane Laura, he was asked by a reporter if he planned to go to Kenosha. At the time, he said he “probably” would. By Saturday evening, the White House announced the president will indeed travel to Kenosha. Trump plans to meet with local law enforcement and to survey the damage done by riots in Kenosha. Asked if the president will meet with the family of Jacob Blake, a White House spokesman said the president’s schedule wasn’t “fully ironed out yet”.

The 8-2 decision restores power to a judge to question the Justice Department's moves in the politically divisive case, when Attorney General William Barr dropped charges against President Donald Trump's former national security adviser earlier this year despite twice pleading guilty to lying under oath to lying to the FBI.
