‘Fools rush in.” Three centuries after they were written, those words ring as true as ever. And nowhere are they as relevant at present as in the case of Kenosha, Wis.
On Sunday, a black man named Jacob Blake was shot seven times by a police officer in Kenosha after Blake refused to comply with his orders. The details of what happened remain murky. We know that the cops were called in response to a complaint by a woman who claimed that Blake had taken her keys; we know that there was a warrant out for Blake that cited sexual assault, trespassing, and disorderly conduct;

It is my understanding that it is a sexual assault of a 15-year old girl. I know there are Democrat-controlled areas that allowed the failed Obama policies of "look the other way" concerning criminals. Is that the case with Jacob Blake. No idea. I am wondering why he is allowed on the streets.
We have created such toxic environments for the police that I am not going to judge this police officer's actions. I think it is failed policies all around. Kenosha was in the headlines after the George Floyd situation so I can only imagine that tempers are flaring. The Mayor of Kenosha is a Democrat and I don't give Democrat policies credibility. We have altered definitions of dirty cops and now it seems as if every cop is a dirty cop. Yet, we forget that they are human beings behind those badges. Oh sure, we can judge from the sidelines but given the actual situation, how would we react? Can't say.
I do know this that Jacob Blake had a chance every day to rehabilitate his life but why should he? He is egged on by many individuals not to take responsibility or ownership of his criminal activity.
A 15-year old? Sick.

Okay, so now I am not certain if the assault of a 15-year old girl by Jacob Blake is true. I read it in a previous article and do not know if it is credible.
So I will revise my opinion. Sexual assault of any person at any age is unacceptable and sick.

America has sown to the wind, and is now reaping the whirlwind.
Having raised at least one entire generation of black men in homes with no fathers, at least some of them (many?) are like Jacob Blake, men who have no morals and are so self-centered that they will not respond to authority. Not only had he sexually assaulted someone, but he then violated a court order to stay away from her by visiting her residence. For someone with his mindset, overwhelming force (in this case, several bullets) is the only authority to which he will respond. It should be no surprise that, after a lifestyle of debauchery and disobedience, he gets shot and killed while disobeying a cop.
If the known facts are all we ever learn, then Jacob Blake got exactly what he deserved to get...just ask his victim of sexual assault.

As in almost every other case along these lines, it is not so much the people of the community who are "protesting" (and sometimes looting?) but outsiders, sometimes PAID outsiders (Can you say George Soros???????), in the case of Kenosha coming from Chicago and environs. And then we have the Democratic Mayors and Governors who refuse govt. help.........so in a way I DO (as a former Wisconsinite) blame the people of Kenosha and Wisconsin for voting these idiots ion just because they don't like Trump's personality....or because they ALWAYS vote Dem no matter what.

Here is an example of the misinformation we are up against.
#2 son, far left, told me that the man shot by the police was at the address to break up a fight between two women - he was a peacemaker who was unarmed and innocent and was shot by the police because he was black.
The level of misinformation on the left is astonishing.

It has been reported in the media that the three people that were shot by the 17 year old during the riots were all White men, at least one who hit the 17 year old over the head with a skate board immediately before the shooting started, and were convicted criminals who served time in the past. Additionally one of those criminals was videoed in possession of a hand gun which would have been unlawful for him to possess. Chances are those criminals were paid by entities or persons yet unidentified to take part in the riots, create as much violence as possible, and that they did not in reality give a hoot about Black Lives.

Jacob Blake and George Floyd are useful idiots, nothing more. Antifa was ready and waiting to create pre-election chaos and those two criminals served as triggers. Jacob's family need not worry that their son caused any more damage than what he did personally. The real martyrs in this national temper tantrum are the little children who were caught in the crossfire. Jacob's incident happened in Kenosha but it would have just as likely have occurred in any other democrat city where people are quick to kill each other over almost nothing. Drugs, girlfriends, insults, disrespectin' or whatever, we have within the United States a primitive culture that is failing at the process of civilized life. Donate all of the money you like to BLM, it won't change anything and will probably make it worse.

Since it is NR, I came close to passing this by.
But, it is a good, sensible article. Amazing. NR has been so off the rails for so long, it is refreshing to see a sensible article.

Only murky to the anti Trump crowd at NRO, only to them. The rest of us know what the guy did. He turned to reach into his vehicle for his weapon. When cops tell you stand still, you do not disobey that request. Given that the national nerves of the Police Profession are as tight as Elvis's pants right now, who can blame the cops for protecting themselves, and bystanders from crossfire bullets?

#7, that is the carefully crafted lie that Ben Crump's PR team has been putting out. And apparently it is working on some folks who want to believe the lies.

The largest tragedy here is that this is happening because the dems/media/Left believe they need the chaos to win the election. As desperately noted by Don Lemon, they now need to tone it down because there is a backlash building. Riots shouldn't stop because mindless riots, destruction, and assaults are bad for a free republic in general but because they might cost the dems some votes. This is yet another example of dem situational ethics. If it works in favor of dems "bad" things are "good". If they work against dems then "bad" things are "bad" and even "good" things can be "bad". As in this case, the dem responses pivot quickly as the situation changes. Situational ethics = NO ethics and THAT is the truth of the dem party. Not just foolish but extremely dangerous and destructive to society in general.
The reality in this Country is that very few "unarmed" Blacks are killed by police. In fact, fewer today that when BO left office. When police kill someone, investigations at multiple levels are triggered. The majority of them correctly assign proper responsibility. Most police are eager to avoid a shooting but many situations that the public expects them to manage FOR US are dangerous and unpredictable. The low numbers of "unarmed" shooting is a testament to the success of most officers to avoid such an outcome. The proper response to such a shooting is a demand for accountability, which will probably happen anyway, and patience.
The stoking of this as a campaign tool by the dems is reprehensible.
