A conservative student organization at Arizona State University announced on Friday that they will be accepting donations to support the legal defense of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old charged with homicide in the killing of two people at protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin. College Republicans United, which split from the more mainline ASU College Republicans chapter in recent years, tweeted that a portion of the funds collected for the group would be donated to Rittenhouse. "He does not deserve to have his entire life destroyed because of the actions of violent anarchists during a lawless riot," CRU stated in a tweet.

Evidence in the trial will prove the kid acted in self defense because those attacking him were armed.

The officials know he is innocent but this is how the depraved and racists left works in the country now. Charge him, publicize him, humiliated him, harass him and force tremendous legal bills to cause he and his family debt, just like Gen. Flynn. The goobermint legal rats have unlimited funds to persecute this kid. Congress must pass a law that will allow the judge or jury to award back to the defendant some money for a frivolous and unjust charge

Took a loaded weapon and put himself in harm's way. Don't quite buy the self defense thing. What was he defending. There IS a difference between somebody defending their home, family, or business and somebody looking for vigilante trouble. Probably not murder but likely manslaughter 1 or 2.

Some of his attackers were armed, and while 2 wrongs don't make a right, he still has the right to self-defnse.

The problem is he shouldn't have been there in the first place. He was still playing vigilante by going there armed. There was a curfew and he broke it too. Even if it was self-defense, he contributed to the problem by being there. Now, he should be held responsible to some extent for his bad judgment.

Joe Biden gave a speech in Pittsburgh on Monday. As we reported earlier, he tried to blame President Donald Trump for the riots violence despite the fact that it’s leftists behind the violence in Democratically-run cities who Trump has done everything to try to help. But there were some things beyond that that just screamed out for comment. So this apparently was Joe Biden’s audience, just media. There was no audience. Who exactly was he giving the speech to? That was bad enough. But the delivery of the speech showed the deep problems that the Democrats have with Biden.

My approach to politics is simple. Never take it too seriously. Yeah, I write ranting political content as a source of income, but I try to couch that in sarcasm and snark as often as I can to bring a little levity to the insanity that permeates from our political environment on a daily basis. That’s why I really enjoy The Babylon Bee, and while they typically put out quality content, they absolutely won the internet with their latest piece of satire. Police are investigating an incident captured in a video that went viral on social media, showing a man getting hit in the back of the head with a brick in South Baltimore. Around 6:40 p.m. Sunday, police responded with a backup unit to the 100 block of Hamburg St. in the Sharp-Leadenhall neighborhood for report of an assault. When officers arrived, there was no victim on the scene, police said. Medics who also canvassed the scene did not locate a victim, according to an incident report. Officers later observed a “pool of blood” on a sidewalk nearby the area, according to the incident report.

Chandler Pappas told The Common Sense Converstive that he was with Aaron "Jay" Danielson -- the shooting victim identified by Patriot Prayer founder Joey Gibson -- as part the right-wing group in downtown Portland on Saturday. A massive pro-Trump caravan drove through the city as counterprotesters gathered for the 95th consecutive day to voice anger over police brutality and racial injustice. The two groups quickly clashed in tense confrontations that escalated into violence. "We have a First Amendment in the country," Pappas told the news site. "And for whatever reason, there seems to be this opposition that thinks we can't do that. They have been attacking us for years.

Social media video shows Rittenhouse, who has been charged with murder, being chased before he fell and fired at his pursuers.

MSNBC contributor Yamiche Alcindor -- who is also a correspondent for PBS NewsHour -- recalled that President Trump has been trying to incorporate concerns over rioting into his campaign message, and then cited new polling suggesting that independents are turning against the Black Lives Matter movement because of the "chaos." She concluded by fretting that the "peaceful message" of BLM is being "conflated" with "out of control rioters." Here was Alcindor:

Joe Biden will travel to western Pennsylvania on Monday to give remarks focused on how President Donald Trump has made America less safe, forgoing the chance to deliver that message in Wisconsin, where the president is planning a Tuesday visit. Biden faced mounting pressure to visit the battleground state amid violence after a police shooting in Kenosha. His decision to instead speak from Pennsylvania is designed to put some space between the violence and the former vice president as he continues to argue that the unrest in the city is an outgrowth of the president's rhetoric that inflames racial tensions. President Trump is going to Kenosha, Wisconsin on Tuesday. During a trip to Louisiana and Texas Saturday to survey the damage done by Hurricane Laura, he was asked by a reporter if he planned to go to Kenosha. At the time, he said he “probably” would. By Saturday evening, the White House announced the president will indeed travel to Kenosha. Trump plans to meet with local law enforcement and to survey the damage done by riots in Kenosha. Asked if the president will meet with the family of Jacob Blake, a White House spokesman said the president’s schedule wasn’t “fully ironed out yet”.

A federal appeals court ruled Monday against Michael Flynn and the Justice Department in their request to quickly shut down his criminal case. The 8-2 decision restores power to a judge to question the Justice Department's moves in the politically divisive case, when Attorney General William Barr dropped charges against President Donald Trump's former national security adviser earlier this year despite twice pleading guilty to lying under oath to lying to the FBI. Flynn had fought District Judge Emmet Sullivan's decision to ask a third-party lawyer to argue against the Justice Department's dismissal in the case, and his plans to hold a hearing, which has not yet happened.
