NBA players have voted to resume the 2020 playoffs, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Games will restart on either Friday or Saturday, per a league statement. There is a video conference scheduled for Thursday afternoon between a group of NBA players and team governors representing the 13 teams in Orlando. Ha ha what a joke. Now just might be the time for someone to form an alternate league for just sport and absolutely no politics. It might eliminate 80% of NBA players, but those that did sign up would be decent people as well as athletes. Get a cable channel to show the games and make the experience for fans fun and affordable with no constant cussing .

Info today is that the next salary cap (the amount of money that has to be paid as player salary) computation will be going down. For the first time ever. That number is derived from all league revenue; tv money, ticket sales, individual team cable fees, etc. Pity for the player posse who will be getting much less in walking around money for acting as errand boys.

Kenosha Was a Wake-Up Call for
Democratic Leaders across the Country

After a summer of seemingly unending chaos in America’s cities, Kenosha just may have been the tipping point. For three nights, the city burned in rioting after the officer-involved shooting of Jacob Blake, while Democratic governor Tony Evers refused to deploy a Wisconsin National Guard contingent large enough to quell the violence. For three days, Evers issued inflammatory statement after inflammatory statement — even going so far as to say that a Kenosha police officer “mercilessly” shot Blake — and refused to either condemn the violence or urge calm. Laughably, the sternest warning he gave rioters was to remind them to “wear your mask and keep social distance as best you can.”

In the latest slew of "mini-stroke" hit pieces against the president, the once-conservative Drudge Report titled its headlining story, "Trump Denies Mini-Stroke Sent Him To Hospital." The news aggregation site sourced a CNN video of President Donald Trump allegedly dragging his right leg while touring a North Carolina laboratory back in July. Trump on Tuesday denied the leftist spin that he suffered "a series of mini-strokes" prompting an unscheduled visit to Walter Reed hospital in November 2019. Trump's physician, Dr. Sean Conley, even cleared his health record in a statement, affirming that Trump is "fit to execute the duties of the Presidency."

A 19-year-old man, Jeffon Williams, was arrested and is facing several charges for shooting and wounding two Chicago police officers during a traffic stop. Criminal Court Judge John F. Lyke Jr. said Williams showed “utter disregard for any person, any human being.” He set bail at $10 million, but Williams will not be released because he violated the terms of previous bonds. And in St. Louis, a 29-year-old officer, Tamarris Bohannon, was murdered and another was wounded after responding to a shooting call. Details are still emerging, but it appears the gunman set a trap for the officers. The suspect, 43-year-old Thomas Kinworthy, was wanted for sexual assault in Florida.

I expect that President Trump will be re-elected in November. The Democrats apparently expect that as well. At least, the Democratic Party web site Axios does. Thus, Axios is warning the party’s faithful that President Trump is likely to win–apparently–on November 3. But never fear: weeks remain in which the Democrats can harvest fake ballots! A top Democratic data and analytics firm told “Axios on HBO” it’s highly likely that President Trump will appear to have won — potentially in a landslide — on election night, even if he ultimately loses when all the votes are counted. Here’s what we know for sure about the current state of health of the tiny tyrant of North Korea, Kim Jong-un. He’s either perfectly fine, suffering from complications of a botched heart operation, in a coma, or dead. At the moment you can think of him as Schrodinger’s Dictator. But regardless of who is actually in charge in the hermit kingdom currently, somebody is issuing some significantly aggressive and adversarial orders this week. The Daily Mail reports that North Korean soldiers have been ordered to “shoot on sight” anyone seen within a half-mile of the country’s border with China.

Anybody remember the 1980s Isuzu auto TV pitchman “Joe Isuzu”? The new mandate, set forth by Contra Costa District Attorney Diane Becton, makes it tougher to prosecute looting cases in the county, which sits just outside San Francisco. Investigators must now consider “was this theft offense substantially motivated by the state of emergency, or simply a theft offense which occurred contemporaneously to the declared state of emergency?” according to the policy reported by local outlet East County Today. In making that determination, they must also consider five other factors, including “was the theft committed for financial gain or personal need?”
