It took approximately 20 seconds for former Secretary of State John Kerry to drop the first flagrant lie in his Democratic National Convention speech, when he claimed that the Obama administration’s so-called Iran deal had “eliminated the threat of an Iran with a nuclear weapon.” It didn’t get any better from there. Kerry knows well that sunset provisions in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action provided Iran’s government with a pathway to building nuclear weapons in a few years. He knows well that Israel uncovered a giant cache of documents with instructions on how to jumpstart a program to build a nuclear arsenal,

John Kerry has been an itchy pimple on the butt of the USA since the time of the Vietnam conflict. The Vietnam veterans who were required to serve a full year in country know that Kerry was one big time faker of wounds to obtain Purple Heart medals, and other decorations, and because of his political connections after punching his medals tickets only served a total of a couple of months in Vietnam before returning to a job in DC to position himself in liberal Democrat politics.

Go on a journey with me. It is down the roads of the map of John Kerry’s life. A journey so filled with crazy turns, dead ends, breakdowns, running in reverse and then full throttle forward into walls that you may become sick just before you realize it was more than a complete waste of time; it was embarrassing. That is because Kerry is no one special who has dedicated his life to checking the squares so that he can strut his meager stuff as today’s version of a Boston Brahmin: the Kennedy Clone. A brief stint in a war zone as a naval officer just like John Kennedy. Check. War wounds: check. But Viet Nam was an unpopular war so over the WH fence someone else’s medals go. Check. Does he believe he was a good Secretary of State? Of course. In the eyes of anyone but the motley disgusting rabble who make up the American people. Has he earned any of the respect he feels entitled to? Of course! Can YOU grow hair like that? Check. Does he have the Kennedy style? Well, duh. He hasn’t gained a pound in 60 years. Check. Does he have the Kennedy Charm? As if he cares what people like YOU think but he does have homes in several fashionable places. Check. Does he have the Kennedy glamor? Look at the Italian suits he wears. Besides, one of his daughters once walked a red carpet In a sheer dress and no underwear. Check. Teresa may not be Jackie but she is rich. Check. When Kerry’s life finally ends he will be buried in Arlington. Check. And he will never see the priest standing next to his casket looking stupefied as he tries to sum up Kerry’s life in a coherent fashion. Because it was an empty, pointless life.

Just the sound of his name repulses me. What a phony! I know many Vietnam vets and they're nothing like this clown. They're real men who fought for our country in an unpopular war. I have a clear memory of watching the TV at his congressional hearing when he disparaged the U S military saying despicable things they did. I remember how how stunned I was listening to him. I remember seeing a photograph of President Kennedy sailing his yacht. President Kennedy looked all dashing with his hair in the breeze. Jackie was beside him with her hair covered by a babushka. Next to them were some guests, one of which was Kerry. He must have been all of sixteen, but you could tell it was him. He had this look on his face of "YES! I BELONG HERE! I WAS MADE FOR THIS!" John Kerry lied when he claimed that the “deal” that he and Obama made with Iran prevented Iran from making nuclear weapons. At most, it would have delayed them for ten years, if the Iranians honored the deal. The deal was so bad that the Democrats at that time would not ratify it. To get the Iranians to sign, he gave into every one of their demands. He may even have gotten on his knees and begged. By contrast, President Trump is a far better negotiator. His criticisms of President Trump were both disgusting and pathetic!

After a 15-year career in the military, Peter Rafael Dzibinski Debbins began working as a consultant for several defense contractors, the U.S. government and NATO, positions that would have been prime avenues for the former Green Beret to continue the espionage activity he is accused of doing in a federal indictment released Friday. Debbins, 45, allegedly provided officers with Russia’s military intelligence agency, the GRU, with classified and sensitive information from 1997 to 2011, when he served in Army Special Forces and on inactive duty with the U.S. Army Reserves.

The Democratic National Convention is over, and Democrats did not leave much to voters’ imaginations. The party faithful were likely enlivened by the speakers who sketched out a transformative vision for the future of the country. Less ideological voters will probably appreciate the not-exactly-subtle efforts to contrast Joe Biden’s character and comportment with Donald Trump’s. The party smartly shaped much of its pitch around the pandemic, which will likely be the election’s most salient issue and one that does not favor the incumbent president.

President Trump’s warning to a conservative gathering that before this election is resolved the person who could next emerge as President is Nancy Pelosi, well, it’s a startling point. It’s not entirely idle, though. The Constitution, and legislation it grants the Congress the power to pass, both envision a situation where the Speaker could automatically become president at 12:01 p.m. o’clock on January 20. Neither Mr. Trump, as we understand him, nor we are saying such an event is likely. Just possible. Were it to come to pass, though, it would be completely — to the degree that there is such a constitutional concept — kosher.

Kamala Harris makes my skin crawl. She gives synthetic products a bad name. Her acceptance speech as the Democrats’ vice presidential nominee this past Wednesday night (text here) was meant to apply the veneer of normality to her characteristic bizarreries. I want to pause only over one passage, beginning with this statement: “And while this virus touches us all, let’s be honest, it is not an equal opportunity offender. Black, Latino and Indigenous people are suffering and dying disproportionately.” Why? She explains: “This is not a coincidence. It is the effect of structural racism. Of inequities in education and technology, health care and housing, job security and transportation.” How does that work?

Joe Biden's speech that closed the book on this year's virtual Democratic National Convention was the best one that the former vice president could have delivered. Biden spoke clearly with a poise and conviction that have been absent in nearly two years of campaigning for the 2020 presidential election. This was possible because Biden stuck to his strengths. He talked about his biography, the influence of his father, the deaths of his first wife and his eldest son. He spoke broadly about the "possibilities" of American life and the dignity of work. He did not say Donald Trump's name, though he alluded several times to his failings.

Peter Rafael Dzibinski Debbins, 45, told Russian intelligence he considered himself a “son of Russia,” according to an indictment made public after his arrest. “Debbins thought that the United States was too dominant in the world and needed to be cut down to size,” prosecutors alleged. The indictment also states that Debbins was motivated in part because of bitterness over his Army career and a desire to establish business contacts in Russia.

The indictment unsealed today elucidates that a great deal of investigative scutwork went into this case, chiefly by the U.S. postal inspectors and prosecutors from the U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York.
