NR’s Zachary Evans has reported on the Justice Department’s indictment of former Trump campaign manager and White House adviser Steve Bannon, along with three codefendants — Brian Kolfage, an Air Force vet who became a triple-amputee serving in the Iraq War; Andrew Badolato, a longtime Bannon associate; and Timothy Shea, who helped Kolfage establish “We Build the Wall,” the campaign said to be at the center of the alleged fraud scheme.
The indictment unsealed today elucidates that a great deal of investigative scutwork went into this case, chiefly by the U.S. postal inspectors and prosecutors from the U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York.

McCarthy, IMHO, is not on the Trump Train and appears to flirt with Never Trumpism.
Nevertheless, facts is facts. If this is true, it’s a sad day.
Makes you wonder about the 20 pieces of junk mail/day, begging for money.

This speaks volumes:
"A final thought. When he initially (and futilely) fought his removal as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, Geoffrey Berman suggested that his continuing presence was necessary to protect the office’s ongoing investigations, including some that might affect allies and associates of President Trump. Attorney General Bill Barr countered that this was nonsense, and that the office’s investigations would continue undisturbed, under the capable supervision of Audrey Strauss, the acting U.S. attorney who was Berman’s deputy.
Obviously, the investigation of the president’s former aide, who — their falling out notwithstanding — has continued to promote the president’s policies as a political ally, continued full speed ahead."

I hate this. However, if true, then they all deserve the justice that is coming to them. It boggles my mind how quickly cases can be brought with Republican defendants while cases slog on at a snail’s pace for years whenever a democrat is involved. While if true, the timing stinks, but that is the democrat way. When you are asking for donations, you have to have impeccable accounting practices and procedures. Anything less is just asking for an investigation. By the way, while we are talking about not for profit organizations has anyone seriously looked in the Clinton Foundation? Haiti alone should warrant a good hard look. Justice in this country appears to pick and choose who it prosecutes depending upon which political party is involved. The SDNY is particularly guilty of this.

By this standard the Democrap Party is guilty of the same crimes, only 1000 times more.

Are they talking about one million dollars divided between four men; if divided equally, that would be $250,000 each. I guess. for some expenses. One of the men, Brian Kolfage, is a war veteran and a triple amputee, and I donated a little money when I first saw him talking about it. There are so many charity organizations that do not even submit the proper paper work because the sums they are talking about are so enormous and no one ever attempts to investigate them.

So why have the postal inspectors not found time to trace proceeds through numerous bank accounts for Epstein, the Clintons, or the Bidens? It seems the postal inspectors only inspect those that are Republicans.

I'm still waiting for Manafort's partner, Clinton campaign manager Podesta, to undergo investigation. Like other posters have commented, it's only Republicans or a Trump associate that commit investigatible crimes.

At least we don't have to worry about build the wall emails taking up space in the email trash. I got at least one email from them looking for money every day, Centurylink has selectively deleted every one of them from my email.

So, what about all those MILLION$ that went to the Clinton Foundation for "Haiti Relief Effort" wherein nothing was delivered? At least with this "Build the Wall" a border wall DID get erected, and at less cost than Federal work, and it's already proving to be effective! Give them all a bonus!

I would guess that the prosecutors from the U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York are investigating the corruption at the Clinton Foundation, right?
Or do they exclusively go after Conservatives or Republicans only?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Justice always comes quickly if you are a Republican. Meanwhile investigations into Democrats go on and on until one day they just aren't there anymore.... nothing to see here...

Democrats continue to argue that Durham's revelations need to stop until after the election as they are political. Bannon's indictment by SDNY blows that argument out of the water. If only Durham and Barr get the message.

I don't believe SDNY any more than I believe Comey, Strzok, Brennan, Clapper, Clinesmith, et al.
Liars and crimininals with badges are still liars and criminals.

Interesting that NR has jumped full bore on the Bannon-is-guilty bandwagon. And, so swiftly, too, with all the “facts” neatly laid out in lengthy articles, that are meant to overwhelm the reader with their thorough knowledge of not only what the charges are, but what NR seems to know happened. They just KNOW it. This is ugly stuff, guys, from all the usual suspects, both here and in the media. I don’t buy it for one minute.

Whether NR jumped on the story or not, the question remains whether “We Build the Wall” was used for personal gain. As #2 notes, "...if true, then they all deserve the justice that is coming to them."

The person who seemed to benefit the most? Triple amputee Iraq veteran Kolfage. The things he bought with the money don’t seem to square with his disabilities. Maybe special adaptive features in his home? Ditto the vehicle. What was the plastic surgery for? Questions… But that was not the intended purpose for the Build the Wall GoFundMe. He should have had a separate one for himself, his needs.

As Bannon said on his podcast today, this is a complete political hit job and they have full confidence (along with a very good legal team) that will expose this as the same corruption in the SDNY that led to Lev Parnas being used to target Rudy Giuliani. Bannon is prepared to fight them to the last man because he is committed to seeing the border wall built to protect American sovereignty and its workers wages. Remember how convinced Andrew McCarthy was of the Russia collusion hoax.

I do not trust McCarthy, I do not like McCarthy.
I am certain that this is another Demonrat hit job. And NR is NOT the friend of anyone who is not for open borders, or globalists in charge. I don't trust NR at all any more, either.
So many corrupt people who used to pretend to be "conservatives" but who are actually totally crooked, and in it for themselves only, zero patriotism, no belief in actual principles.

You know it was a political hit job as this indictment and arrest of Bannon was announced during the morning of the same day that Biden gave his speech at the leftist and liberal Democrat National Convention. The intent of that, with the liberal media bringing up the name Trump with an allegation of criminal fraud by Trump’s former political advisor was not a coincidence.
