Thank heaven baseball is back and almost recognizable. College football will be here in less than a month, with the notable exception of the University of Connecticut Huskies (1-20 record against FBS opponents in the last two seasons). The only question is whether fans will be allowed.
One socially distanced sport that has been with us for months and has survived without pointless rule changes or limits on the number of spectators is trying to guess who will be Joe Biden’s running mate this fall.

Yes, Biden's VP pick will matter, None of the possible choices are desirable an will probably drive his poll numbers down, because whoever it is will bring more definition to his candidacy, and may split the Democrat Party.
But maybe Biden won't be picking because in the end maybe he won't be the Democrat candidate for President

Ultimately, no. Won't matter. The media plays up the hype because it needs viewers and readers and there is nothing else about Biden now that is interesting. Think for a moment. Other than a vague, general idea that he will go back to Establishment Business As Usual if he beats Trump, can you articulate any Biden position?

#1,,,,What I've been saying all along. Chances are that Biden will not be the nominee . The dims are dumb but not dumb enough to realize that Biden is a loser and always has been. Hillary keeps running her mouth and is still lurking in the shadows should the occasion arise that she could slip in and take the nomination without even spending a minute campaigning to get it, Stranger things have happened in the past.

Not a mention of Biden's dimentia ? Ignoring it in hopes no one notices ? So, in that sense the VP is critical.
In another sense, the VP will not matter because Biden's handlers (Obama, ValJar, & co.) will choose a VP who will follow orders --even after Joe is gone from 1600 Penn Ave. My money's on Rice for that reason. She's proven.

It's the thought that counts. If it makes just one black female smile for a short time...

I'm telling you, Joe already picked his black female running mate; Carol Channing. Carol is not confused over who she is voting for and that makes her black, or as Joe might put it, she ain't ain't black.

#3...I see Hillary handed this as last resort...her mantra will be "this was supposed to be mine last time
but Trump colluded with the Russians and stole it! I won't let that happen again!!!!!" And add it the usual,
"I am fighting for you!!!"

Old Joe won’t be choosing a a running mate! The DNC/Joe’s Handlers will choose who the VP pick will be. JB be ca barley put two thoughts or two sentences together without a script, he often loses his train of thought while reading.

#7, and add to that, "I can beat Trump! I already did it once!"
But, where IS Hillary? She's wayyyy toooo quiet right now---at a time when she should be out there touting these black female VP choices. Pay attention WHENEVER Hillary falls silent: Something unscrupulous and underhanded is going on and she's in the thick of it.
So, no. Biden's VP choice doesn't matter one bit, as long as she's black. We will have a 2-woman historical ticket, one white and one black. Hillary could always come out as Bi and then we'd have the LGBQT category fulfilled well. Oh, and I forgot. She might try to claim she's a veteran, too. Remember, she always wanted to be a Marine.

#4, Rice is proven alright. She is a proven pathological liar along with just being a nasty piece of work who has screwed up every policy she had anything to do with.

The Dems are hoping Biden gets the virus and dies suddenly, so they can have a do over.

The democrats have no good choices for their nominee. All potential candidates have far too much baggage and would turn even more voters away from the party. Hillary, Moochie, Cuomo, or any other choices are even worse than Biden. Bernie would probably be their best choice of all, but he doesn't stand a chance either.
The democrat's best, and only, hope is to stick with Biden. and try to steal the election with mail-in ballots, or some variation of voting fraud. The VP pick is more important than the Presidential nominee. Then, they could replace him with whoever they have chosen.

If Biden picked his real favorite running mate it would very likely be a young girl he could molest!

The problem is at the top of the ticket folks. The problem is with the party platform which is anti-America and anti-American. The VP choice is secondary. They will support the party platform regardless.

It matters because most people now KNOW that Uncle Joe is mentally incompetent and is not fit to be president. Effectively, many will be voting for Biden's VP who will likely quickly become president. Of course this is a massive fraud on the American People but something the dems appear quite comfortable doing.
Biden's original "plan" to nominate a Black woman was designed to appeal to a couple of identity groups to shore up his wobbly support. However, nominating a Black woman, typically quite radical, is not a winner as a de facto presidential candidate. Thus the delay, due to a shifting of reality and priorities.
The shift exposes the fecklessness of the dem party and Biden's campaign.

It won't matter to me. The short list is a rogues' gallery and Harris/Rice are equally horrific, particularly given the possibility that the DNC might remove Biden at any point and he won't even be on the ballot, come November. I can't imagine anyone among the original dim candidates who would be even marginally acceptable to centrist voters except for Klobuchar and I don't want any part of her. Bottom line: back to the basement, Sleepy Joe. We just don't care what you say or do. We're reelecting our president.

#11, I’m surprised that his handlers haven’t intentionally given him the virus yet.
As to the VP - if they go with any of those on the short list it won’t help - each one has too much baggage and PDT will exploit it against them.

#19, just before I got to your post someone posted something which made me think the same thing. I have been thinking that if Biden wins the dems will boot him out of office in six months because of his dementia and we would wind up with the first black, female president. But by picking Hillary they would complete their debt to her for her undying tyranny.

Not in the slightest. Biden is toast. Whoever runs with him is just lashing themselves to the wheel of the Titanic, after the iceberg collision. Makes no difference who chooses to go down with this sinking ship.

It would certainly matter to the Mad Maxines of the world. If Quid Pro Joe doesn't pick a black woman he would have to explain why he couldn't find a black woman who was up to snuff. Only a fool would paint himself into a corner. But thank goodness the Grey Groper is a fool. Just hope he isn't President Fool.

Of course it matters...because, if Biden wins, the chance is high that he will not survive his first term. Accordingly, whoever is his VP will automatically become POTUS.
Just try these on for size:
"President Rice"
"President Whitmer"
"President Bass"
"President Harris"
Sorry, I know there're more, but I just can't go on.
That's why it matters.

It doesn't matter to the media, which will proclaim any of them a "brilliant pick."
